I can't believe all the negative reviews.
Did anyone ever play Lunar Lander? This is a variation on that simple mechanic of propulsion in bursts to move around to uncover clues to a story of disaster and collect the events that lead to surviving. You are on a beautiful, destroyed space station. Oxygen is your resource...you use it to give you gentle nudges to move around, and to survive

Did anyone ever play Lunar Lander? This is a variation on that simple mechanic of propulsion in bursts to move around to uncover clues to a story of disaster and collect the events that lead to surviving. You are on a beautiful, destroyed space station. Oxygen is your resource...you use it to give you gentle nudges to move around, and to survive and to repair just enough of the station to try and get home. The vistas of being alone in space, miles above the Earth are breathtaking. The art is amazing. This is a perfect game to subtly chill and enjoy solving the mystery. This is a bit like the playing the movie Gravity, as well. This reminds me of the beautiful story game like Everyone's Gone To The Rapture, with the added activity of staying alive to collect audio and video clues to bring the stories of your crew mates home with you, to earn better trophies. I have played though this several times. Give it a chance and enjoy a subtle game of skill with great rewards and gorgeous art. I can't imagine what a PS5 4K version would have been like. I played it on the PS4 Pro. Highly recommended for anyone to get off the adrenaline of most games.

Regardless of the setting and the fantastic visuals, Adr1ft feels like an also-ran walking simulator with more rules and less explanation along the way. It’s a good distillation of the limits and how the genre both does and doesn’t work. It may have been a cool idea but it’s unable to deliver on the promise inherent in being trapped in space, resulting in something too slow, too tedious, and too unsatisfying when you reach the end of its too-long running time.

A first-person experience that nails the experience part, but - despite flashes of brilliance - reminds you all too often that an astronaut's job can be...well, a bit dull. [Sept 2016, p.109]

Initially exhilarating, but ultimately deflating, its sensational setup is disappointingly squandered. [October 2016, p77]
