To be honest, Uncharted 2 has a better story, but that doesn't mean Uncharted 3's story is bad. Both are epic. The gameplay is the same as the previous games, and that's not a bad thing because Uncharted is not released year after year (like Call of Duty). The music is great, and the online is great. A must-own for your PS3 collection.

The game makes more use of physics than the previous title and does so in wonderful fashion... the physics based gameplay in this game is probably the most impressive I've seen since Half-Life 2. The newly added melee system does a great job of complimenting gun combat and combat in general now is more challenging, due to more aggressive enemies. There are more stealth parts to the game but unfortunately, it's rather difficult to clear an area without being seen. The story is another tale of treasuring hunting but this time, focuses more on Drake and the lovable Sully, including bits of their past. But what unfortunately, ND felt it necessary to tweak the aiming system from previous game and it simply doesn't feel as smooth as the previous games. It takes quite a bit of time to get used to. And many of the events become a bit to cliched, like crumbling floors and falling ladders. Overall, this is a great game but it falls just short of the perfectly paced Uncharted 2. Multiplayer, however, is the highlight in this game. It's been significantly improved since the last game and is simply more fun so the game will keep you busy for months after you finish the single player mode. Expand

Yes, I found Uncharted 3 disappointing. But it's the "I wish my lifetime supply of free ice cream included sprinkles" kind of disappointment.

Video games are player controlled pixels dancing around on a screen to build high scores that have no real value outside the game itself; I mean, you can't exactly buy a happy meal with your Donkey Kong score. But "Interactive Entertainment" is when a pixels dance about on the screen to transport a player to another world, to see things they could never see, to meet people they could never meet! Uncharted: Drake's Fortune added a new level of shine to the action platformer and created the flagship example of Interactive Entertainment. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves took that concept even further. We now look to Uncharted 3: Drake's Decption to raise the bar and show the world what they didn't think was possible yet again. But it looks as though Uncharted 2 will remain the pinnacle of how far beyond a game video games can go.

Uncharted is a blockbuster. That means lighthearted, high action entertainment that's about excitement and happy endings. It's not about questioning the motives of politicians, fighting for equal rights, or cynically viewing the world as a dark, putrid place infested by the disease that is humanity. And Naughty Dog does well to make Uncharted a great blockbuster. They do this through three basic principles: 1.) Breath taking set pieces 2.) over-the-top action 3.) Fun, character driven story.

Uncharted 3 delivers on all fronts--even overtaking Uncharted 2 with the first two concepts--but the story took a hit in this chapter. In a world where Battlefield 3 gets high ratings for having a great multiplayer and a horrible single player, it may seem odd to take such offense to something like "story." But I have to say--Uncharted has always had fun stories and is really leading the industry in how to make game-stories compelling and interesting without being too cliche or long-winded. So when I say that Drake's Deception was a little weak on the narrative that can be taken one of two ways--Naughty Dog has slipped a bit or the game is so awesome there's nothing else to complain about. In reference to the first two principles--Drake's Deception introduces more locations with a greater sense of scale--then tears them apart. Every room, hallway, street, catacomb, secret lair, ancient burial ground is treated with immaculate detail. You can literally just look around a room for 20 minutes taking in all there is to see. And while Uncharted 1 and 2 were very gunfight heavy--many of Deception's action sequences involve collapsing buildings, sinking ships, and airplanes being ripped-apart midair. There's so much action outside of using a gun that you can hardly classify Uncharted as a shooter. Melee combat has finally become fun--there's entire sequences devoted to "bar fights" where more than one or two bottles get broken over skulls. And what's best about moments when we see Drake hanging out an airplane, running from a tsunami wave, or escaping a collapsing building--the player remains in control! Even if it's as simple as pressing X five times in a row--it's still better than relinquishing all the big moments to cutscenes.

So now that you know Drake's Deception is a blast to play--I'd like to get back to the story. A hero is only as great as their adversary. Uncharted 1 pit Nathan against rival fortune hunters and greedy pirates that were dangerous in an endearing kind of way. Though Lazarevic was a single-layered warmonger, he created a great context for the love triangles and rivalries between the characters to play out, allowing for reasonable ego clashes.

Uncharted 3 introduces the dark and mysterious Talbot and Marlowe bad guy duo. But the pair hardly seem involved in the plot at all. The final chapters have them appear as figures off in the distance until they finally meet their untimely deaths. Though it's claimed they're part of a dark, centuries old cult--they hardly feel "all powerful." The dirty-minded Chloe is all work this time around and Elena is barely in the game long enough to be considered a main character. The real drama is supposed to be between Nate and Sully--but the two have one spat at the beginning then basically play best friends for the rest of the story--not having to grow or develop in any way. It's also sad that the very awesome cruise ship sequence is completely irrelevant to the plot or character development. It is just a level--which is uncommon for Uncharted! And the "big mystery" is very front-end heavy. There's no new information after the half-way point except a "big reveal" that essentially says the boogieman isn't real. Odd-since Uncharted 1 and 2 had great boogiemen!

Drake's Deception is a tiny step forward compared to the leap made by Among Thieves, but it's still an amazing game!

However, the game does definitely suffer from an unshakable sense of deja vu in its final hour which is a shame considering where the scribes at Naughty Dog could have taken the game's stellar story. My only real complaint is that the aiming controls feel strangely stiff compared to the previous two entries. After a period of getting used to the new system this is hardly a problem at all. However, this style of combat can become tedious, often leaving you out in the open of a tense shoot-out. Smaller new additions include the ability to toss back grenades, which I think works well and suits Drake's **** attitude. The story itself winds a more personal, involving (if cliched) tale, but is at least bold enough to tread new ground with our characters. Multiplayer provides a unique experience, competent enough in it's variety of persistent unlocks and customization.
Not revolutionary, but a great game by any standards. Playstation's flagship for a reason.

One thing that sets Uncharted apart from other action adventure games is that its kind of like a movie. The cutscenes add a dynamic feel that no other game does, also the transaction from cutscene to gameplay is spot on. Their is also many puzzles to bend your mind and add more gameplay. One thing that I find is that most of the puzzles are in the first half of the game, I do not remeber many puzzles near the end of the game. Another issue I had is that I did not feel that finding the atlantis of the sands was such a great acomplishment, In Uncharted 3 I blown away by shambala, also the story I found less interesting then the first game. I just felt like they didnt think as much on the story then they did in the first game. Other then that the stroy was great.
Multiplayer and co-op are other great additions to the already great game. Multiplayer has creative maps and iddictive modes and gameplay. The co-op I didnt injoy as much as the multiplay because it only has 6 chapters and the co-op story really didnt pull me in the single player story.

However, unlike UC2, I was never bored when playing the story. There were moments in UC2 that felt like more of a chore than a fun activity but they have eradicated that in this game. The story and voice acting are amazing once again and all the levels are different, always offering something new, which was the main thing UC2 lacked in my opinion. Definitely a must have for any PS3 owner. Expand

Great game. Graphics and sound are top notch, although UC2's story was a bit better, some of the characters in the game seem forced into it since it's a sequal, but it's still entertaining. Only knock on it is the controls don't seem as smooth as UC2, I feel like I'm fighting my character sometimes to do what I want them to do. That's the only thing that stopped me from giving it a 10.

Uncharted 3 doesn't disappoint, with a exciting story, an enjoyable multiplayer and arguably the best graphics out of any game. However, after a while you run out of things to do, especially in Single-Player, but nonetheless, a must-buy for any PS3 owner.

Uncharted 2 packed in multiplayer, but i never touched it, mostly because it was too hard to find a match and it took too long to load. This is the same here, but since the game is newer, there ARE people playing. Right now its pretty easy to find a match and it is pretty easy to set up, but takes much longer than games like Call of duty, then again, those games are mainly for multiplayer so i cant say much.

In the end, the package is relatiely short, but sweet. If your looking for a great game to last you the summer, pick up uncharted 3, and while your at it, pick up the first two like i did.

The beta for Uncharted 3 was so good, it was better than many other released AAA games. So I had high expectations for Uncharted 3. I bought Uncharted 3 on release date and played through the campaign first, as I do with all games. The campaign had a decent story line. Some of the puzzles didn't seem well thought out and one in particular felt clunky, like Drake wasn't going where I wanted him to go or do what I wanted. I read a review that said Drake walks like a drunken sailor in some parts and i noticed the same thing. Particularly annoying is that, for some reason, the devs created an OCD Drake that feels compelled to touch every wall as he passes by. Why? It seemed contrived as if they wanted to give him a personality tick that would make him seem more "real." But it was just real annoying. I mean even during chases, Drake has to stick out his had and touch walls. He didn't do that in Uncharted 1 or 2, so why does he suddenly have this OCD compulsion to touch walls as he walks by. Please get rid of that in UC4. However, in every other aspect, the game excels. The campaign was just the right length, not overacted, good pacing from scene to scene, good variety of weapons, good fights, and beautiful graphics. Some scenes were visually stunning, like the airplane scene and the desert scene. I gotta say the campaign was a little too easy and everyone seems to be platinum-ing it in days. Probably the easiest platinum I've ever achieved. But the multiplayer is where this game shines. The multiplayer is actually better than Uncharted 2, which is a great accomplishment by the developers. The maps are good and diverse and some have changing environments. For example, you can be in a match, and suddenly there is a blinding dust storm and you play through it. I also like the buddy system where you are paired with another player, which has advantages. I also like the powerplay aspect which helps even out the odds between mismatched teams. Uncharted 3 has a solid campaign and a stellar multiplayer that no other game out there can beat. Way to go Naughty Dog. Expand

Now, we have Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. It’s a solid entry in the series, having many similarities with “Among Thieves”, but bringing enough to the table to stand on its own.

The graphics in Uncharted 3 are absolutely breathtaking. Easily the best on any console to date. The lighting is gorgeous and spot-on. The textures are pitch perfect, whether it’s grains of sand, Drake’s clothing, or shrubbery, it’s all stunning. The game is a sheer pleasure just to look at and drool over. The sound in Uncharted 3 is also a pleasure. The musical score for each area and cut scene document the current situation well, providing good production values to the cinematic experience. Uncharted 3’s voice acting is very well-done, as usual, with all the same voice actors as in previous installments.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception’s story is great, with well executed cut scenes, and moving along at a steady pace. The writers of Uncharted have really made a unique and attractive experience, with each game remaining the same at the core, with an almost identical premise, but it’s the gameplay that switches things up enough to make it fresh. I feel strongly about the next Uncharted entry though, I believe it will make or break the series, there are some things that just absolutely have to change every now and then. The game’s length is respectable as well. It’s not too short and not too long. All of the DLC being released should feed the appetite of hardcore gamers though. The multiplayer remains one of the Uncharted series’ most attractive offers, as there is never a dull moment while playing online. The gameplay is essentially the same as Uncharted 2, with not a whole lot of change. There are more types of guns and weapons, more diversity, such as horseback riding and a lot more climbing and swinging. The controls can feel clunky at times, and you may make mistakes accidentally that become frustrating, but it’s still solid.

Overall, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is a worthy entry in Sony’s premier series, with many new aspects and elements added to it’s arsenal. The main issue with the game is that many players may feel like they’ve been her before, since it has many similarities to its predecessor, “Among Thieves”, but new story and new gameplay elements should override its faults and deliver an unforgettable experience. The diversity in its gameplay is what makes the game and series stand out, with a lot of shooting, running from disaster, flying planes, riding on boats and horses, and so on. In the end, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception delivers with a top-notch story, stellar gameplay, great voice acting, gorgeous visuals and solid controls, making it a must-own for Playstation 3 owners.

The graphics are yet again jaw-dropping (the cargo plane may be epic, but the desert is, for lack of a better word, beautiful). I firmly believe that the plot is miles ahead of previous iterations. And the multiplayer was extremely impressive.

In fact, after playing both the July Beta and the Subway Promo, I don't think there's one other aspect in the Uncharted 3 experience that amazed me than what they did to the multiplayer. One of the biggest complaints found in the previous betas was the staggering amount of blindfiring, particularly because of how easy it was to rack up kills by doing it, and just for experimentation, I tried blindfiring myself multiple times in the full game. Now it doesn't feel like an tactic--it feels downright risky to use, and I don't think I earned a single kill from using it. The multiplayer, thus, feels very balanced and offers a much more rich experience than Uncharted 2 ever did. One of my most favorite inclusions is a new feature called Missions, where you have to complete a certain objective in a certain amount of time. There are around 150 of these missions, and if you plan to complete them all (and I do), it's going to take an insane amount of time to do it. These missions are so great because activating them gives the player (in my personal experience) so much incentive to play and win; no longer is the multiplayer just a rank-up and unlock system--though there's plenty of that here--it becomes a much more personal experience of accomplishment that I only ever found in a single-player game. Along with the handful of multiplayer packs soon to be released, I find this game to have insane reply value. It makes up a lot for what I find to be disappointing in this game.

The biggest fault in UC3 stems not from its multiplayer, its graphics, or its story. In fact, I find it hard to place my finger on exactly what seems wrong with it. Apart from the few bugs I found during gameplay--which is excusable seeing how large this game is--nothing seems entirely lackluster in the experience that I had, and what an experience it is. Yet as the game came to a close and the credits began to roll, I couldn't help but find myself in a bit of disappointment. No spoilers, I promise, but the last few hours of gameplay did feel a bit rushed compared to how amazing the first half of the game is, for me anyway. It seems to suffer from some of the same faults that Uncharted 2 did; that is, where Sully was absent, Elena and Chloe made up for, and it seems to be the other way around this time. Likewise, the last few hours doesn't impressive nearly as much as what the beginning sets the game up for. Uncharted 3 is not a disappointment by any means, but it suffers a bit from some of the issues found in its predecessor, and the fact that they arrive yet again is a bit saddening. Yet I find it hard to believe that there will be anything out there as incredible as Uncharted 3 was, at least for a while. Is it the best game on PS3? Maybe. It holds a vast amount of polish, save for a few bugs, but the single-player suffers from meeting player expectations without going over-the-top with them, and I can't say it was as impactful as Uncharted 2 was. Maybe it's my own fault for holding expectations too high, and that's why I'm not going to bash the game. It's still an excellent experience that anyone can hope to enjoy. The experience is blast all the way to the end; it's when you get to the end that you find yourself wanting a little more.

I'll stop there I suppose. Stop reading this and go buy this game, because its pros more than make up for its cons. The single-player is a unique experience that, while not perfect, certainly excels in many of the places that Uncharted 2 fell a little short. The multiplayer is a completely different ball game, giving players what I personally believe to be "the go-to multiplayer experience". The package as a whole is something that PS3 players must not miss out on. In everyone's eyes, it may not be as great as Uncharted 2, but it sure comes pretty darn close.

A lot of time has been spent ensuring the consumer gets wrapped up in "what happens next". Yet, the developer didn't alienate those who enjoy collecting, puzzle solving, or shooting.

The story, character development & voice acting are all top-notch & really make the game what it is, an experience. It seems that all of the members of the original cast made the effort to return for this sequel which really speaks to the regard for which the actors & the developer hold for the franchise & really helps to provide a sense of continuity. I found the shooting as frustrating as the past two iterations, assigning the same button for dodging/rolling as grabbing/throwing an assailant was a poor choice of control scheme & sometimes the camera would move @ the wrong time which in turn would cause Drake to move in the wrong direction or "miss the mark" which prove frustrating from time to time, but this was not a common occurance.

The puzzles were moderately challenging & provided the needed breaks from the action/shooting sequences.

Multiplayer is fun & the leveling progression a la modern warfare gives the player something to shoot for & provides a lot of replay value.

I loved the game, I thought it looked as good or better than most top-tier games for the playstation & the score, beautifully mastered & orchestrated.

A must have, as well as the first two iterations!

With Nathan Drake's third outing, Drake's Deception aims to create the greatest Uncharted experience, besting it's near-flawless predecessor in every way. In the end, Uncharted 3 falls short of the target, but that doesn't keep it from being one of the years best titles. The campaign is yet again the game's highlight. Here's the good: The cinematics and voice-acting are superb. The characters are lifelike. The graphics are instant eye-candy from start to finish- once you behold them, no game will look better. The sound effects impress, and the soundtrack provides some of the best music in gaming. The pacing is well done: gun combat, platforming, and puzzle-solving all intertwine perfectly. The set pieces are epic, ones that Hollywood could only dream of. However, with a campaign this amazing, it still has its letdowns. To begin, the story isn't as compelling as Uncharted 2's. Don't get me wrong, its a great story, but there are several elements that are not well told. In addition, the AI are not as smart as the ones in Uncharted 2. They may sometimes run passed you and never bother to attack, and when you shoot them, they don't react to the bullet in a realistic way. Either way, the game is still equally as hard as Uncharted 2. Also, the campaigns re-playability isn't as strong: It clocks in at a mere 8 hours compared to Uncharted 2's 12 hour epicness. Collecting treasures return, but thats it. In Uncharted 2, you could switch your weapon, character skins, and cheats(fast motion, infinite ammo, one-shot kills, no gravity). These features are non-existent in Uncharted 3, a big disappointment. Regardless of all these flaws, the campaign is still worthy of endless re-playability. But Uncharted 3 also has multiplayer. The multiplayer has much, much more to offer than Uncharted 2. A deep level of persistence, new game modes, and things like power plays and treasure drops make this multiplayer stand out from the competition. You'll find it to be similar to Call of Duty's persistence and fast-paced gameplay, and while it may upset some, it really isn't all that bad. It's insanely fun, actually. I will say that sometimes i'll play Uncharted 2's multiplayer over Uncharted 3's because it plays a lot different and can be as equally as fun. Character models are not as beautiful as Uncharted 2's, and there are still some balance issues, but its a great experience nevertheless. Overall, Uncharted 3 is an incredible game: it may not be better than Uncharted 2, but that shouldn't stop you from buying it, let alone getting a PS3. Expand

Although the camera was confusing at times, and there were moments were it was not obvious whether the ledge or wall you were taking cover near was climbable. Its frustrating to get into a firefight online or off, you notice a wall and try to jump over it or grab a ledge, only to realize that particular area of the game is not interactive, the jumping animation, and your character is show down. Otherwise amazing game. I'm all for adventure, history and travel in real life. The concept and story of this game is right up my alley. Although I like my protagonists to struggle. It seems Drake is somewhat of a superman, able to survive several nights without water and to get into more firefights. It also seams everwhere he ends up, the floor he's jumping on, or standing upon tends to give way. Great game regardless. If there was a movie based on Drake, I'd watch it. Expand

The first Uncharted left me with a giddy feeling after completion, the third instalment gives me just the same feeling 6 years later. When you want to be part of a grand, globe-trotting experience this is the game to buy, switch off the outside world and play like your there. Oh and its still visually amazing.

Another Uncharted game this generation without a noticeable engine upgrade would be a disappointment. That said, UC3 is still an unmatched technical achievement. I'm not sure what it would have taken to turn me off of this game but Naughty Dog is in no danger here. This is a perfect example of how all the pieces can come together to deliver an experience that oozes quality and polish. Personally I would love to see the next UC game take some risks. Maybe even jump genres entirely. As for UC3, it doesn't get any better. Expand

Awsome game, beautiful graphics, fun multiplayer, but it felt just not enough for a "10". Why? Short campaign and the game felt just too much as more of Uncharted 2. Still one of the best games I played this year, and best exclusive for PS3.

It combines the best action set pieces of any game with great hand to hand combat and a now tuned gun play with excellent puzzles and climbing, along with the best graphics of a video game in history for now and dialogue which feels like your actually talking to the characters themselves. But I was disappointed with the ending which felt familiar and same old same old run and gun and when I sore that there was 22 chapters I knew that we weren't going to explore much of this amazing city that they designed. And the only other criticism is I thought that the main character was going to play a much bigger role and use mind trickery a lot more. But putting that all to one side I congratulate Naughty Dog at trying to beat its predecessor and nearly succeeded. Maybe not everyones effort was in on this game because of the new title The Last of Us on its way and in development when they were still putting the final touches on uncharted 3. But hats off to the developers at Naughty Dog they have created another beautiful masterpiece. Expand

I must say the gap between that of Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 is not as much a bottomless abyss but that of a something a world record long jumper can probably traverse with relative ease. But that does not detract from the absolute joy I had from playing this game start to finish multiple times. Graphics:
One thing that is improved is the graphical quality of the entire games, the character models, the textures, some of the effects like the water, have all be vastly tweaked to an almost photo realistic standard. Although the overall effect does not look as flabbergastingly brilliant as some of the set pieces of Uncharted 2 (mind you that is down more to the choice of set piece rather than execution). Secondly, the sound: The one thing that Uncharted has done better than most games is voice acting, and Nathan Drake's latest outing is no different. Nolan North is again on form with some top notch acting really adding layers to his character as he goes. The same can be said for Victor Sullivan, his character as well is really brought out and you get a real sense of how deep Nate's and Sully's friendship really is. Although as for the main bad guys, I've scoured the internet and most people feel that the main character should have been voice by Helen Mirren and I'm inclined to agree, definitely feels like a missed opportunity! The sound track is something else in this game, it is definitely one of the corner stones for the cinematic experience and this corner stone is a granite base! Very well orchestrated soundtrack always fits the mood perfectly. Another thing I have noticed is that the weapons don't sound quite so cheap anymore, and that adds to the feel of the game play too, a nice parallel is the transition from Gears of War and Gears of War 2, the weapons sounded so much meaner and it really added to the feel of each weapon. Single player game play: I see Uncharted becoming formulaic, much in the way The Legend of Zelda is, but that is not a bad thing at all if done properly, I'd say Uncharted 3 hits it right! The thing I liked about Uncharted's story modes up to this point was the fact that they would last about 8 hours, which is twice the length of most shooter campaigns these days AND you are pretty much glued to your seat for the duration. Not many games can boast of this trait but Uncharted 3 can. So Uncharted 3's story pans out similarly to the other two, like an Indiana Jones film on steroids! A lot of complaints have circulated about the "sluggish" aiming system and I though I ought to offer a positive opinion on this so here goes...
The way I see the new aiming system is that it is coupled with the new melee system where you can engage an enemy or a group of enemies Assassin's Creed stylee for some fisticuff action rather than just mashing the square button and then the triangle when prompted. So I believe that Naughty Dog toned down the aiming speed in order to encourage players to engage at close quarters and get the most out of that combat system. To be honest if you really find the aiming that sluggish just turn the darn sensitivity, that or utilise the new patch that Naughty Dog have provided... From my experience the combat has been considerably tense through out, with a killer cover and shoot mechanic that can almost rival the Gears of War series. The weapons all feel much improved and much more heavy duty, what also startles me is the variety of weapons, such as weapons for extreme close range like a sawed off shotgun and weapons for extreme long range such as the bolt action sniper rifle! Another good feature about the single player is the pacing, rather than just being at 11 all of the time, the game often slows down to get you to solve puzzles, which I found in this instalment to be more challenging than the other two, a little bit more time is spent actually thing rather than just looking at Drake's Journal where an imaginary wealth of knowledge just sort of ends up in there. Also some key moments of the story slow down the pace of the game but in a good way, but I shan't elaborate as it would contain spoilers, but I think players will appreciate the slow down of pace and can take some time to observe a bit of character development and plot thickening. Multi player: Multi player is on form again, it takes the fun from the formula that was present in Uncharted 2 and adds LOADS of new features to it, including a lot of customisation options for your online avatar. Like most good multi player experiences, it is very rewarding extends the longevity of the game infinitely. It doesn't matter whether you are competitive or cooperative, Naughty Dog have catered for both tweaked co-op missions from campaign set pieces but also some great competitive game modes set in original maps (which I feel is a bit of a dying art, making original maps). Overall Uncharted 3 is a fantastic experience but also has enough pull to it to revisit months after your purchase!

Pros: great story that keeps the player on the edge of their seat, amazing set-pieces that exceed that of its predecessor, best graphics I've seen in a video game (desert level looks amazing), voice acting is top-notch as always, and gun combat is improved and sounds more realistic as well as the improved hand-to-hand combat which I felt was the best yet. However I had a few cons: 1.Firstly, what is up with the in-game menu?? It looks Naughty Dog took the one from Among Thieves and cut half of it out e.g. there are no cheats whatsoever! 2.There are a quite few plot-holes which are left unexplained in the game 3.The ending itself just felt a bit rushed and the last scene didn't feel that memorable. 4.The few enemies flanking my position got on my nerves. Yet despite these minor niggles and feeling Uncharted 3 lagged something, I still think this is one hell of a game that astounds and amazes throughout and which will have you coming back for more! The characters are well fleshed out and the scripts are excellent and engrossing. I also like the fact that the relationship between Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher doesn't get in the way of the game or storyline. The Uncharted series has never fallen into the "boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy must spend the rest of the game chasing said girl". I think that Victor Sullivan is my favorite character, though. I love his dry sense of humor and the way he and Nathan play off of each other. However, I feel that Sully wasn't as funny in Uncharted 3 as he was in the first 2 games in the series. It's definitely an improvement from it's predecessor in terms of gameplay and cinematography. Yet UC3 is a complete mess when it comes to pacing and story telling. I only realized this after my second play-through.
But what it lacks story-wise is more then made up for in gameplay and presentation. The online component is bigger and more rewarding then ever! 9.4/10

While Uncharted 3 is really a great game with a lot of great moment, it doesn't live up to the greatness of the second Uncharted. A lot of action sequence feels like déjà vu. It is however a nice addition to your game library.

The best console graphics ever made. Its a "simple" evolution from Uncharted 2, not a revolution like Uncharted 1 to Uncharted 2, but the game is very good. My only disapointed is in history, is good but not great like Uncharted 2.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Great game, good graphics, good storyline and good gameplay. But some of the scenes in Uncharted are too dramatic, floating in the middle chaos of sand pits and we still have a random boss fight? Too dramatic and its funny how Cloe and Charlie appeared at the beginning for a bit and then we didnt see them later on in the game...Anyways, Uncharted 4 is coming out, i dont expected stuff to change more in the game Expand

The characterisations by the actors is second to none and even though this tall-tale takes you to fantastical places and events, the script is never once unbelievable. You never feel like an outsider. If anything, you'll feel right at home, ensconced in the constant drama of this loveable cast of returning reprobates and reprehensible villains. [Dec 2011, p60]

It's more than just the best entry in an outstanding series though - it epitomises the very reason many of us play video games. And that's its greatest achievement.

Only a few camera troubles stopped us from giving Drake's Deception the highest rating. Uncharted 3 is without doubt the best PS3 exclusive game of this year. [Dec 2011]
