I went into this game thoroughly open minded and wasn't disappointed with what I found..the thing is this game is a totally new approach to the series and incorporates more physical powers that reduce the need for using vehicles, they are still there to use should you feel the need but the fact you can run faster than a car and the full on flying power will mean vehicles are almostI went into this game thoroughly open minded and wasn't disappointed with what I found..the thing is this game is a totally new approach to the series and incorporates more physical powers that reduce the need for using vehicles, they are still there to use should you feel the need but the fact you can run faster than a car and the full on flying power will mean vehicles are almost pointless. This is also a move away from the GTA approach and we are now left with a game with more in common with Lego Heroes which isn't all that bad and the ropey cut scenes just pad out the game enough. Overall I find it a joy to blast through the Steelport version of Hell and hope this spin off is the first of many. Expand

With more oven time this could have been that novelty birthday cake you always wanted but never got as a child. Instead it's just a muffin of disappointment. [March 2015, p76]
