Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is still an enjoyable adventure, mostly for those who played it back in the days. But even new players that are interested in the history of Final Fantasy can find some interesting mechanics here. The battle system is still intuitive and Spira is in all way as beautiful as ever. Even if the differences between the original and the remastered version can seem a bit small at first they become obvious in a direct comparison.

The graphics have received the expected uptick in resolution, but Square Enix has also given both games a decent once-over, adding additional environmental detail, effects, even facial animations for the main characters.

It was a giant step forward at the time, but it just doesn’t hold up under scrutiny anymore, compared to advances in contemporary RPG gameplay.

The characters and environments are cleaner, brighter, and a lot more crisp! I don't need to describe how awesome this game is because almost everyone and their mother has already played it. We can finally get a chance to fight the Dark Aeons, Penance, and get extra Dresspheres that weren't in our (America) original version. I think SE fixed the lip sync a little bit also because the characters mouths don't flap nearly as much. Glad I can have a whole better experience with these games on Ps3. Thanks so much, Square Enix!! Full Review »
