This game is always the same no change, Activion mocks us. For this price the game is completely useless. in 2011 he could get out a better game, but not he prefers to release a game every month!

I feel angry at most people because they come into this game with such a negative attitude always have been and such a bias towards battlefield they really don't stop to appreciate what is in front of them. Despite no massive revolutionary game engine, or no relatively new features, MW3 will draw you in more than Battlefield ever did. I am a huge fan of singleplayer modes. I have been playing COD since the second one came out and always have enjoyed the stories that INFINITY WARD told (no offense Treyarch). MW3 does such a great job, along with any other game in the modern warfare series, of producing villians you truly hate, badass comrades and friends you hate to see die. The levels are intense as always and usually always have that "OMG that was cool" element in each one. These elements are what make COD's singleplayer so much better than BF3's. I didn't care for my marine in Iran the same way i did for Soap, Price and Delta Force. Overall i felt the singleplayer was a success. Co-op is fun too. Infinity Ward and Activision have learned from Treyarch's Zombie mode, that endless waves of enemies means endless waves of fun. The new survival mode uses this mode and should provide the player with hours of entertainment. And if one gets bored, you can always jump over to the mission based modes for a even more fun. Multiplayer, will as always be the mainstay for most. While not as innovative as other games (cough BF3) it takes the core formula that changed online gaming forever and improves upon it. Regardless of what people will say, next year at this time there will still be millions playing this game everyday. Most hardcore gamers seemed to have turned away from COD but they forget that COD isn't about the hardcore gamer, its about creating a game that is easy enough that anyone can get good at it. But complex enough that one can never seem to master it. Millions will buy this game and in the end will have played it more than any other online game this year. While I myself enjoy BF3's multiplayer more, the majority of the public will play Call of Duty. Overall, I feel this game has been put down by so many for so long that it isn't getting the attention it deserves. Infinity Ward has worked hard and long to create this series, they deserve the credit for the great work they have done over the years. Now we will live in a Treyarch COD world. Looking back people will look favorably on this game. A praise it deserves. Expand

It is what it is, tweaked and added to from previous versions. Not quite sure what the haters were expecting. Seems rather foolish of them to buy it given everyone knew what it would be like beforehand. Great fun and in the long run will be worth the outlay.

I think it's ridiculous that so many people are putting out so many negative reviews. Is the game perfect? Of course not! There is always things any developer can do better. There are things in every game that need to be fixed and to give out ZERO scores on this game is absurd. It's a war game! To be realistic means that maps need to be challenging to find sniper spots and hiding spots. I read reviews about a flowing map???!!!??? REALLY? Are you stupid? Just play the game and have fun instead of complaining about every silly little thing. The developers have come up with many different ways to enjoy countless hours of fun. I personally enjoyed the Survival mode (even by myself) for about an hour while getting completely bombarded by countless waves of enemies. My heart was pounding and I had fun. Go do the same! Expand

Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward have made by far the BEST multi-player experience ever in a Call of Duty game, maybe even ever.

The multiplayer has been refined to the limit. All the people complaining about new features need to grow up. Just because this game doesn't feature new pro-pro-pro perks and is fair and that you are now forced to run around and leave your lonely corner. Just because you cant shoot people in 2 bullets and because your were amazing at a game that was unbalanced, and you suck now, means you need to adapt.

Besides my rant on the ranters, I would like to point out that the new Survival mode is a TREAT. It needs refinement in the future, but it is a terrific start to an amazing mode. It definitely challenges Zombies mode, and in my opinion beats it in terms of fun.

Lets face it. Waves are better than rounds.

Modern Warfare 3 has an unbelievable multiplayer, Spec-Ops, and Survival mode. Campaign is weak, but is a great addition.

In the past, we used to buy games for a decent multiplayer. Now, I buy Call of Duty for a great multiplayer and a decent campaign.

Sure, campaign is weak, graphics haven't really improved, but who cares? This is by far the most fun i've EVER had playing a game. I will be playing this game for months. Survival mode gave it that kick that it really needed for a good review. IW and Sledge, dont be upset. Next time around (MW4) people will have adapted to the game style presented in MW3, and you will be amazed by the reception in the future.

I have played cod multiplayer since cod4 hooked me. This one is not the best (cod 4 was a 10/10 for me) but its better than black ops (which i would give an 8/10) so a 9/10 for mw3 seems fair. Everything about the game is fun and rewarding, and no other franchise has search and destroy, so solid game in my book

The Campaign continues the story of Soap, Price, and Makarov from Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2. It's a pretty good finale for the last Modern Warfare and I, personally, thoroughly enjoyed Blood Brothers and the flashbacks from the previous two games. The Multiplayer is okay. The spawn points are horrible and the players are just as bad as ever, but the new game mode Kill Confirmed is surprisingly good. There only seems to be one over-powered thing in the Multiplayer, Assassin Pro. The Spec-Ops Missions are more for people who want more of the Campaign but the Survival version of Spec-Ops is wonderful. It could be better with the inclusion of Akimbo attachments to Handguns and Machine Pistols, more of a perk selection, and 4 player co-op instead of just 2. Overall it's decent for an FPS and good for a Call of Duty. Rent it if you're an FPS fan and get it if you're a Call of Duty fan, whether or not you have the previous Modern Warfare games, it's still good. 8.5/10 Expand

The same broken Multiplayer, the same try-hard 4 hour long story, and soon the same overpriced map packs. It is truly a disgrace, the way Activision keeps confirming their greediness, and lack of interest for their customers. This hasn`t bitten them yet, seeing as a lot of COD-players are very, very young. Too young to stand up and say "I will no longer let myself be milked dry like a cow. I will no longer let this company ruin gaming by repackaging the same game over and over again, therefore being a bad example for the rest". And even when the fans are a bit older, they still have ridiculously low standards, considering they like replaying the same broken game, over and over, paying 60 Dollars every year.

Because of this greediness and laziness, COD MW3 deserves a 0, but I`ll give Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer games 1 point for the effort.

I bought this game for the only reason that all of my friends are playing this everyday and I thought it could be a way to have a good time with them but I was wrong. The single player campaign is simply terrible and I died in one day in multiplayer more often than one month with Dark Souls. I really cant figure it out where is the fun. You start running to somewhere on the map to be killed by who knows who and listening to 13 years old boys offending one each other. Im totally out of that violence in the games discussion, but parents should pay more attention for the unbelievable talking that you are forced to hear in this game, it is a new kind of violence extremely disturbing: racist jokes were the lightest thing that I heard in two or three days. Even with a team mode, they never play like a team. Resistance 3 multiplayer, just to mention one, is a game far superior than that. Now I can see that CoD is a market phenomenon that brings money to the industry and it is only that. Just to reinforce: nothing new in the warfront. Expand

But when it appears that the new IW and Sledgehammer took a cue from Medal of Honor (2010) in their multiplayer creation instead of carefully constructing balanced, strategic maps, you better believe fans will be irate because that's solely why people play COD: MULTIPLAYER. That is how nearly five years ago why this franchise became so well-known and adorned: innovative features in their multiplayer game. It is so apparent that the new people in the MW franchise had no experience in creating playable maps. It's so bad that even Black Ops's maps shine in comparison. I remember hearing that these maps were specifically designed to eliminate campers. You just have to laugh and scratch your head considering the various rooms and narrow corridors noobz can fork out. The quality of maps gradually declined after each subsequent installment. I think if the new developers want to redeem themselves from their ill-fated multiplayer design, they need to analyze and learn from the genius of IW 1.0 and understand what it takes to make truly competitive maps in order to make a QUALITY map pack instead of spray and pray mazes--because that's essentially what the new maps are! I seriously doubt BF3 fanboys are flaming this board too. It's really that bad, people. If the newbie developers, and Activision for that matter, want to continue the franchise, they better take a cue from the original IW and NOT TREYARCH in terms of multiplayer maps. Expand

There's a tangible insistence from gamers that this series needs to evolve, but it seems unwarranted when it still leads the FPS class.
