  1. WALL.E on the PS2 is definitely the most accomplished version available. The emphasis on platforming and puzzles suits the character and makes for a more thoughtful game.
  2. WALL•E makes a very positive impact on the PS2, especially given that the systems hardware is well beyond its prime.

Not only is there a lot to do within this action title, it's engaging and varied with its action, making play a lot of fun.
  4. Like the movie it's based on, Wall-E is accessible enough for kids to enjoy but offers enough depth for an older audience.
  5. It’s a solid adaptation that should entertain the younger crowd who fell in love with the film.
  6. WALL-E for the PS2 is not a great adaptation of the movie. There are some wonky control issues, the graphics aren't very good on the aging console, and the gameplay is very repetitive.
  7. I personally preferred the standard controls found on the PS2, PS3, and 360 to the Wii controls, which felt a bit too imprecise to work effectively.

It’s been awhile since I played a game that butchered so many of the basics of gameplay and design. [Sept 2008, p.103]

If you have seen the movie, then it more or less follows the plot, but the game puts you in the midst of all the action, and also adds more to the plot. This is one of those games that can appeal to young and old gamers alike. I would categorise it as one of those games that are laid back, fun and dont make you sweat. The PS2 graphics are not as sharp as the PS3 version, but they are sweet enough bearing in mind the capabilities of the PS2. The frame rate is consistent with fast loading times. Overall a very cute and loveable game with a positive message about recycling and our environment. Full Review »

I wouldn't call this a bad game at all. The puzzles and "mini-games" if you will are all quite an enjoyable experience, and things are changed up as you progress to keep testing your skills. The story doesn't seem changed up all that much which doesn't seem to be a bad thing (It's been a long time since I've seen the movie lol)

It is certainly a good game, but I think it's one for the kids (Teenage years specifically). But either way, t'was an enjoyable experience.
