Great visuals for the time, the story is a bit changed from the movie(but the plots are the same) but we are here to enjoy the looks, level making, bonuses and controls.I will start with controls since they are easy to cover, the psp version has the easiest to use while limited camera cantrols its still the same, the ps2 are sometimes confusing like having to hold the button to keep the musicGreat visuals for the time, the story is a bit changed from the movie(but the plots are the same) but we are here to enjoy the looks, level making, bonuses and controls.I will start with controls since they are easy to cover, the psp version has the easiest to use while limited camera cantrols its still the same, the ps2 are sometimes confusing like having to hold the button to keep the music box of wall-e going but they aren't terrible neither have some weird movement or combination so they are straight forward.Graphics, they are stunning at some points and cover well some areas with limited power, the models look great, and characters that are in in-game cutscenes look good but on modern hardware there are some text issues since the game wasn't designed to run on higher than 720p so the text gets too small but thats an issue for todays hardware, back then it ran without issues but anyway this is the ps2 version we are talking about.Level design, while the blocks to progress are collect blue energy or solve a simon says and stuff, when it comes to collect blue energy wich is stored in blue boxes, the way to get them is never the same and the platforms are unique every time, there are levels that have these doors to say hey go the other way but that happened only once so it's fun going for 1 place to another, the simon says,"put the code" and many other doors are just a breather just for variety but they are still easy so they aren't an issue, some levels after walle gets on the axiom bring the robot friends in use, finding them at places where they are needed to progress still the variety is insane in this game. The bonuses, well they are high def shots of the movie and they need to be unlocked and the other half is funny costumisations on wall-e and they dont require you to collect everything in the game, just beat levels and points to unlock them will come,it is hard to unlock everything(pictures and extras)so choose what you want to unlock yourself. The game is fun but it's a game based on a movie, because the characters are there dont expect the story to go the same with the movie even though the pre-rendered cutscenes can cause emotion you are here for a nice platformer and some puzzles so strap on and enjoy a game that had thought, time and some love put in the aspects that make it a game. WALL-E for the PS2 is one of the best games i have ever played, and held that title for over 10 years. The game is full of challenging puzzles, hard platforming and an overall amazing game based on an amazing movie.

A really cute, simple and fun game to play. If you have seen the movie, then it more or less follows the plot, but the game puts you in the midst of all the action, and also adds more to the plot. This is one of those games that can appeal to young and old gamers alike. I would categorise it as one of those games that are laid back, fun and dont make you sweat. The PS2 graphics are not as sharp as the PS3 version, but they are sweet enough bearing in mind the capabilities of the PS2. The frame rate is consistent with fast loading times. Overall a very cute and loveable game with a positive message about recycling and our environment. Expand

Not only is there a lot to do within this action title, it's engaging and varied with its action, making play a lot of fun.
  2. I personally preferred the standard controls found on the PS2, PS3, and 360 to the Wii controls, which felt a bit too imprecise to work effectively.
  3. WALL•E makes a very positive impact on the PS2, especially given that the systems hardware is well beyond its prime.
