The movie itself is one of my favorite animated films of my childhood.

Sometime later I also got to play this game at some kind of After School Daycare, but not alot. Years later after playing the even worse Wii version I got my hands on the PS2 version. The game is pretty good for what it is and it stays mostly true with the movie with some creative changes here and there. However,

The game is pretty good for what it is and it stays mostly true with the movie with some creative changes here and there. However, it's certainly not a great game.

The levels are mostly about puzzle solving to find your way through, but this gets annoying really fast since you often have to collect blue batteries in order to open doors and this game makes you do ALOT!
In the first three levels of the game before walle even meets Eve you have to do this about seven times. The other puzzles are like memory games, jumping, speeding and more.
This can get old really fast and the rest of the game can get boring because of it.
The graphics look pretty okay for the most part, but the models of the humans are barely like PS2 Graphics.

Another personall problem I have with the game is the voice acting, this is because I'm from the Netherlands this version is translated into Dutch with Dutch voice-over. However, they really butchered the voices here since it sounds awful, WALL-e sounds like a Kid with Bronchitis.

You can also play as Eve in this game, but she has only about 4 levels which are nothing more than flying in one direction until you reach the goal which is hard to control adn avoid hazards since she has the speed of a rocket.
One time I had a glitch where I got stuck and suddenly flew out of bounds into the void and I had to restart the level.

Overall, it's not the worst game I ever played and maybe one day I can look back at it with some nostalgia like I had with the movie.

My overall rating for the game is : 7.5
I wouldn't call this a bad game at all. The puzzles and "mini-games" if you will are all quite an enjoyable experience, and things are changed up as you progress to keep testing your skills. The story doesn't seem changed up all that much which doesn't seem to be a bad thing (It's been a long time since I've seen the movie lol)

It is certainly a good game, but I think it's one for the kids (Teenage years specifically). But either way, t'was an enjoyable experience.

Not only is there a lot to do within this action title, it's engaging and varied with its action, making play a lot of fun.
  2. I personally preferred the standard controls found on the PS2, PS3, and 360 to the Wii controls, which felt a bit too imprecise to work effectively.
  3. WALL•E makes a very positive impact on the PS2, especially given that the systems hardware is well beyond its prime.
