    Wall-E the Video game
4 and a half hrs. of chores
Wall-E is an action adventure game based off of the movie wall-e that I’ve never watched and thought I’d just get the story through the game and this was a mistake… The story of the last robot on earth chasing after a search bot is told through adorable cutscenes.. but that’s the only good here as this game is not fun at all… The game

Wall-E is an action adventure game based off of the movie wall-e that I’ve never watched and thought I’d just get the story through the game and this was a mistake…
The story of the last robot on earth chasing after a search bot is told through adorable cutscenes.. but that’s the only good here
as this game is not fun at all…
The game features 9 levels and no trophies… it’s one of those super old school ps3 games
You play as 2 different characters here, wall-e and eve
Mostly you’ll be playing as wall e
As wall e you collect these tubes to repair trash dispensers and turn the trash it dumps into cubes that you use to activate switches and weight a bucket down to progress…
you then hop gaps and dodge obstacles
This is basically the entire game..
I didn’t mind some of the sections too much, there was some decently fun platforming and sliding here, but these moments are few and far between...
after the first couple of hours you have to deal with annoying robots that shoot at you and dodge heat seeking obese people…
all while just going forward and finding these tubes so you can pick up trash..
To make it worse its really easy to die in the 3d platforming sections… go figures.. and Wall-E features some of the worst checkpoints I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing... giving the likes of the original crash bandicoot a run for its money...
but at least crash is fun..
    This game isn’t fun…
    it’s a chore fest…
you feel like you’re doing chores rather than playing a game
so redoing sections is just painful at times..
The eve missions are even worse where you’re blasting objects in a time limit or speeding through tubes trying to not lose all of your health…
Though there are a couple times where the 2 of you are together and you can use eve to shoot enemies and jump further….
I didn’t quite enjoy these as much as just the wall e solo levels, but much better than the solo eve missions..
Wall E the video game is in no way an enjoyable experience... Stay away
    I give Wall – E
    a 4.5/10

The movie itself is one of my favorite animated films of my childhood.

Sometime later I also got to play this game at some kind of After School Daycare, but not alot. Years later after playing the even worse Wii version I got my hands on the PS2 version. The game is pretty good for what it is and it stays mostly true with the movie with some creative changes here and there. However,

Years later after playing the even worse Wii version I got my hands on the PS2 version.

The game is pretty good for what it is and it stays mostly true with the movie with some creative changes here and there. However, it's certainly not a great game.

The levels are mostly about puzzle solving to find your way through, but this gets annoying really fast since you often have to collect blue batteries in order to open doors and this game makes you do ALOT!
In the first three levels of the game before walle even meets Eve you have to do this about seven times. The other puzzles are like memory games, jumping, speeding and more.
This can get old really fast and the rest of the game can get boring because of it.
The graphics look pretty okay for the most part, but the models of the humans are barely like PS2 Graphics.

Another personall problem I have with the game is the voice acting, this is because I'm from the Netherlands this version is translated into Dutch with Dutch voice-over. However, they really butchered the voices here since it sounds awful, WALL-e sounds like a Kid with Bronchitis.

You can also play as Eve in this game, but she has only about 4 levels which are nothing more than flying in one direction until you reach the goal which is hard to control adn avoid hazards since she has the speed of a rocket.
One time I had a glitch where I got stuck and suddenly flew out of bounds into the void and I had to restart the level.

Overall, it's not the worst game I ever played and maybe one day I can look back at it with some nostalgia like I had with the movie.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Great visuals for the time, the story is a bit changed from the movie(but the plots are the same) but we are here to enjoy the looks, level making, bonuses and controls.I will start with controls since they are easy to cover, the psp version has the easiest to use while limited camera cantrols its still the same, the ps2 are sometimes confusing like having to hold the button to keep the musicGreat visuals for the time, the story is a bit changed from the movie(but the plots are the same) but we are here to enjoy the looks, level making, bonuses and controls.I will start with controls since they are easy to cover, the psp version has the easiest to use while limited camera cantrols its still the same, the ps2 are sometimes confusing like having to hold the button to keep the music box of wall-e going but they aren't terrible neither have some weird movement or combination so they are straight forward.Graphics, they are stunning at some points and cover well some areas with limited power, the models look great, and characters that are in in-game cutscenes look good but on modern hardware there are some text issues since the game wasn't designed to run on higher than 720p so the text gets too small but thats an issue for todays hardware, back then it ran without issues but anyway this is the ps2 version we are talking about.Level design, while the blocks to progress are collect blue energy or solve a simon says and stuff, when it comes to collect blue energy wich is stored in blue boxes, the way to get them is never the same and the platforms are unique every time, there are levels that have these doors to say hey go the other way but that happened only once so it's fun going for 1 place to another, the simon says,"put the code" and many other doors are just a breather just for variety but they are still easy so they aren't an issue, some levels after walle gets on the axiom bring the robot friends in use, finding them at places where they are needed to progress still the variety is insane in this game. The bonuses, well they are high def shots of the movie and they need to be unlocked and the other half is funny costumisations on wall-e and they dont require you to collect everything in the game, just beat levels and points to unlock them will come,it is hard to unlock everything(pictures and extras)so choose what you want to unlock yourself. The game is fun but it's a game based on a movie, because the characters are there dont expect the story to go the same with the movie even though the pre-rendered cutscenes can cause emotion you are here for a nice platformer and some puzzles so strap on and enjoy a game that had thought, time and some love put in the aspects that make it a game. My overall rating for the game is : 7.5
I wouldn't call this a bad game at all. The puzzles and "mini-games" if you will are all quite an enjoyable experience, and things are changed up as you progress to keep testing your skills. The story doesn't seem changed up all that much which doesn't seem to be a bad thing (It's been a long time since I've seen the movie lol)

It is certainly a good game, but I think it's one for the kids (Teenage years specifically). But either way, t'was an enjoyable experience.

WALL-E for the PS2 is one of the best games i have ever played, and held that title for over 10 years. The game is full of challenging puzzles, hard platforming and an overall amazing game based on an amazing movie.

A really cute, simple and fun game to play. If you have seen the movie, then it more or less follows the plot, but the game puts you in the midst of all the action, and also adds more to the plot. This is one of those games that can appeal to young and old gamers alike. I would categorise it as one of those games that are laid back, fun and dont make you sweat. The PS2 graphics are not as sharp as the PS3 version, but they are sweet enough bearing in mind the capabilities of the PS2. The frame rate is consistent with fast loading times. Overall a very cute and loveable game with a positive message about recycling and our environment. Expand

Not only is there a lot to do within this action title, it's engaging and varied with its action, making play a lot of fun.
  2. I personally preferred the standard controls found on the PS2, PS3, and 360 to the Wii controls, which felt a bit too imprecise to work effectively.
  3. WALL•E makes a very positive impact on the PS2, especially given that the systems hardware is well beyond its prime.
