This is, for all intents and purposes the same game that was released for the DC over a year ago. It was great then, it's still great now.
-
The gore is gorier, the booms are boomier, and the guns are gunnierRE:CVX takes an already near-flawless game and makes it even better.
-
Games RadarAdds nothing to the well-worn formula but wraps everything up in a glossy package which makes the previous outings look like primary school projects. This is classic Resi at it's finest.
-
Clearly the best game yet produced for the survival-horror subgenre of adventure gaming, in spite of its flaws.
-
Electronic Gaming MonthlyA necessary part of any adventure gamers balanced breakfast Masterful storytelling and superb graphics. [Sept 2001, p.144]
-
Fantastic , it will keep you playing for hours on end, and if you manage to complete the game youll get a great feeling of happiness.
-
If you're a Resident Evil Veteran, this is the smartest and most polished of the series.
-
Zombie shooting at its best and lets not forget the "Devil May Cry" demo. If youre thinking about buying RE:CVX, you wont be disappointed. Youll be grateful for the dead.
-
A must-have installment in the RE series - perhaps now more than ever. The game’s important story is now critical to the evolving RE plot thanks to "Resident Evil 4."
-
They have refined to near perfection what they started nearly five years ago, so take advantage.
-
Little more than a slightly enhanced port of an already excellent game.
-
A zombie in pretty good shape; let's just say she hasn't lost too much of her flesh yet.
-
Players who havent experienced Code: Veronica need to. Its to die for.
-
And after spending a week playing "Resident Evil Code: Veronica X" in a darkened room, there's no doubt that the PS2 version is as creepy as video games come.
-
It is another fantastic foray into survival horror by Capcom, who have successfully taken the genre started by "Alone in the Dark" and turned it into four of the most thrilling and fun-filled gaming experiences around.
-
solid game that will get it's deserved audience and hopefully become the blockbuster the Dreamcast kept it from being. Hunt on zombie killer!
-
Far from the best entry in the "Resident Evil" series but is an entertaining fright-night nonetheless.
-
It's the longest Resi game yet, with loads of zombie killing action.
-
TotalGames.netA number of excellent set-pieces, good puzzles and some surprise changes in pace do keep the attention until the bitter, dramatic end but generally this is B-list stuff when compared to proper PS2 horror adventures.
-
The undead hordes are as great as they've always been to kill.
-
After having played so many Resident Evil games, I want more from it. I want better controls, less ludicrous key-searching missions, and more forgiving camera angles, for starters.
