  1. Metal Saga offers a genuinely open-ended role-playing experience on the console, with the ability to craft your adventure the way you see fit.

There's never a shortage of funny. It's refreshing to play an RPG that doesn't take itself too seriously. [May 2006, p.80]
  3. The visuals will likely turn most off to what is quite honestly one of the most entertaining RPGs to hit the PS2, but a general lack of even casual steering towards the storyline does make the game seem aimless at times. Still, it's worth the adventure.
  4. If you're not fully convinced or scared off, give it a rental and try it, particularly if you're a big fan of RPGs and want something a little more plain and old-school. Not everyone is going to like it, but those who do will probably love it.
  5. With such a variety of things to do in Metal Saga, it's definitely worth a rental. You can spend as much time with it as you like. You can't say that about other RPGs.
  6. Whether or not a player will like this game depends primarily on how they take to the humor, which is offbeat and playful, as well as his or her willingness to look beyond the game's lack of cohesive story.

The story is bland, but on the contrary, the writing is intelligent, well-localized and entertaining more often than not. The gameplay doesn't stray very far from the norm, but the content does.
  8. The combat is certainly a bit repetitive, but you don't ever notice it much because it's also a lot of fun - and fun combat is key in a game about a bounty hunter.

Cool storyline, fun mini-games, and unique "outlaw" system which had been inherited from the previous games in the metal max series. What's more, the graphics are fancy though pixelated, which I think is very decent and great for a 2005 ps2 game. The soundtracks are definitely masterpieces. In short, this game is definitely worth 20 bux! Try it and you will not regret it! Full Review »

This game is one of my favourite, the very silly elements the series has, the music and Bounty hunting system are all making me crave for more. 10/10

You will easily believe in tomatoes with knives in a post-apocalyptic wastelands, simply just because the plot allows it. All games limit themselves in many ways, but not this game. Everything can be in this game and it will not break the atmosphere, that's seems geniusly for my point. Full Review »
