I've had my Vive for a month or so and was kind of getting tired of the wave shooters. I wanted to experience something different, so when I found Yore VR, I was hooked. It's an open world, medieval sandbox game and you can do all kinds of cool things like smelting and blacksmithing. I was in the village for 2 hours before I had to take a break.
Fans of open world games like Reign of Kings and Rust will love this gem. Yes, it's true that it's still in Early Access and there are some hiccups every now and then, but there is so much potential for this to be all the things I've wanted to do in VR. If you want to build the smelter, first you have to chop down wood and ore. Once you've smelted the ore, you can sell your ingot to build the blacksmith! So cool!
The devs are really involved in the community and have been making regular updates, which is awesome. There's hunting in there now, and the early framework for survival systems. Try it out if you like to do something other than shoot zombies in VR :)… Expand
