Apr 28, 2020Yes, Your Grace is a deeply moving and thought-provoking kingdom-management simulator with a brilliant storyline.
-
Apr 23, 2020But overall, this was far from the rogueish resource management game I’d feared, and a far more rounded story adventure. Which made it exactly what I wanted, while I completely understand how the reverse happened for so many others.

Mar 5, 2020For those looking for strong emotions and a charming atmosphere, this is the right game.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jul 22, 2020A simple pixelart game with a story that could be envied by many big RPGs. [Issue#302]

May 26, 2020As a fan of character-driven stories and making choices in games, Yes, Your Grace stood out as one of the best I’d played in a long time — even after the credits rolled, I still felt regret over some decisions and joy for others. The creators did a fantastic job weaving their interconnected stories together and deliver more emotion and intrigue than most triple-A studios manage. I’ll be thinking about this one for a long time to come.

Mar 22, 2020Yes, Your Grace tells a decent story in an enjoyable way, and there's really nothing else like it outside of a certain fantasy TV show with a terrible ending.

Mar 19, 2020Despite the negative aspects described, there is something genuinely fun about playing Yes, Your Grace. It’s perfect for some casual, beer and pretzels gaming. But you are playing for the narrative not the gameplay mechanics. You will get at least two playthroughs out of the game, which amounts to approximately 10 to 20 hours of gameplay (the playtime on various Steam reviews seems to confirm this). If this was in a Humble Bundle or on sale, I would think you would be happy with your purchase. At full price, I would probably feel as though I could have spent my money on something better. With that said, the game feels like a labour of love, not some lazy cash grab. Just don’t expect particularly deep gameplay.

Mar 18, 2020Yes, Your Grace gives us great freedom to make our own decisions. But also, it forces us to face the consequences. It is an amazing game because of the story and charming characters.
-
Mar 17, 2020Yes, Your Grace is a fascinating game with heart. Its short length might turn away some players, but it will be perfect for anyone who loves regret filled choices or was burned badly by the Game of Thrones finale last year. If you like your games with emotional variety and anxiety, you’ll enjoy your brief time with Yes, Your Grace.
-
Mar 8, 2020Yes, Your Grace is a brilliant mix of a "choices and consequences" game and medieval storytelling. It's a small game with a huge heart and it's a joy to play. The crown of Davern is heavy and you can feel the meaning of every choice, even if the structure of the game may be a little bit repetitive. Above all, anyway, Yes, Your Grace is crafted with love, and the sight and the sounds of Grevno Castle will last long in the hearts of the players.
-
Mar 6, 2020It balances dark and absurd comedy with tenderness in a way that constantly surprises and delights. Sure, it’s hard to parse exactly how much every choice, alliance, and number has on the outcome, but I can overlook my bards skimming a little off the top when they tell stories this entertaining.
-
Mar 30, 2020Yes, Your Grace excels in its tense decision making, but sometimes it tries too hard to ensure the player fails.
-
CD-ActionApr 17, 2020Although the events are usually similar in each playthrough – and the same goes for the consequences of our choices – it’s hard not to fall under the game’s charm. [05/2020, p.41]

Mar 5, 2020Eager to do the many issues of medieval life justice, Yes Your Grace can't hit a good balance between challenging and frustrating.

Mar 5, 2020I’ve enjoyed Yes, Your Grace. It’s a pretty game, and the story and subplots have some nice details and solid surprises. I like how you can hear distant armies chanting in the intro, torches in your bedchamber, and the hubbub of the streets from your throne room. The cheerful “Wey!” when happiness goes up is great. I’ve also much enjoyed the thought that the king is actually doing what I tell him, when I have him stand up suddenly in his throne room, declare that he likes his chandelier, then leave. But for all the time I spent making decisions, I felt let down by the ending – and the time and effort it would take to start again.
