I dont know why people that clearly don't play are bombing ratings. Dragoniding is amazing and feels noticeably different to Gw. The new profession system is incredible.. like imo that's the standout. The open world content is the best since legion. There is so much you can do that it's almost overwhelming

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The plot is excellent, interesting (compared to SHL in general bomb). The new flight system is wonderful, also with a talent branch for improving the dragon, they came up with a cool idea. There is a lot of content, there is something to do, the system of professions has been updated, which is ideal for me. I haven't tried the new class yet, I've seen how others play, there is interest. Do not listen to the whiners who bury wow and say that Dragonflight is another failure, this is a great addition! I get the feeling that Metacritic has bought reviews because I read bad reviews about this add-on and a lot of the same type of reviews accuse Blizzard of racism, which is nonsense, WoW Dragonflight is a great add-on! Definitely recommend to buy! (SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH) Expand

After many years of players feeling fatigued by systems that tried to keep them logged into the game, Dragonflight delivers a unique experience for WoW with a sprawling, dense world begging to be explored with the fun new Dragonriding feature, new raids that are generally really fun, and the talent trees making a return to the game; changing the way we all play our classes alongside a clean UI update that is long overdue. A great new endgame with the Proffessions overhaul shows that their new philosophy is to upgrade the base game and and as a longtime WoW player; I'm all for it. Along with a suite of very player-friendly updates like the Trading Post, a battle pass-esque feature where you are rewarded with store mounts and cosmetics just by playing the game, Dragonflight feels like a renaissance for World of Warcraft in the best way possible. Although there is still skepticism and resentment towards the developers, I'm just happy to finally be excited about WoW again, whether it's Dragonflight or Wrath Classic. Expand

Google the lore YouTube it to like the game more if you are into the lore. The lore of world of warcraft is slow pacing you need to know a lot of it to understand what's going

You need to finish the old content expansions if you want to visit old zones and see fights stopped. yeah some zones are out dated but not many go there anyway but i give you that. they should update those zones.

the game overall is great not much grinding like before. Sad no account wide reputations though which will help with the grinding.

to me overall is the best game the play style the dragon flying the zones are so big this time so much to explore.

Really an expansion worth to try.

First things first, WoW is still an MMO with all it comes within the genre, as in grinding, endgame content that you need to do with other people and all of that.

There's this sensation of "I can log in and there will be something to be done", instead of "let me wait in the capital city for a raid or an m+". Also, new talent tree, dragoriding itself and UI improvements were welcome (if not needed) implementations.

The new zones are incredibly beautiful and vast, with an amazing soundtrack. Both of these are reminiscent of WotLK which is very nostalgic. You can fly immediately at the start of the expansion, and once you finish the campaign once you never have to do it again on your alts and can get straight to doing what you want.

The narrative is so superior to anything else I've experienced in WoW, they really stepped it up this expansion to make you care about the characters and their situations more, which feels great.

Dragonriding is enjoyable and the races are genuinely fun when I didn't expect them to be at all.

Dragonflight definitely does not deserve the bombardment of low reviews that it's getting and it's a real shame that there are so many close-minded people out there who aren't gonna give this incredible expansion a chance because it has SOME gay MINOR NPCs.

The zones are far more beautiful and enjoyable than they were in Shadowlands. Dragon riding lets us get around quickly at the start of an expansion.

Now the bad things. Evoker and Dracthyr are pointless. All Dracthyr are evokers, they can't be any other classes. I don't care what "lore" justification is used, it's only because they didn't want to spend time with other classes and animations. Transmog is also terrible on Dracthyr, again because of lack of time or laziness. Also the performance has been utterly awful in this expansion so far. Constant disconnects when landing a dragon, servers down, stuttering and lagging on Blizzard's end and not from the user's end. Performance still needs serious tweaking. The reputation grinding is pretty bad this expansion too, there's a lot of it. Also group loot is utterly terrible, no idea why they brought it back.

Dungeons and raids are pretty "meh", same old thing nothing really improved or worth, so a neutral score there. Story also gets a "meh", I gave up caring about WoW's story after Legion. Also if the LGBTQ pandering that Blizzard is doing offends you, then you're just an easily triggered snowflake. It doesn't affect how good or bad the game is.

Great expansion overall, the best since Legion. The new dragonriding mechanic is too much fun, along with the dragon races. And we finally have solo rated arena! Solo shuffle is a great system, but could use a fix to the leaver issue which will hopefully come soon. All in all I haven't been this happy with WoW in a really long time.

The flight mechanics are smooth and intuitive, and the sensation of gliding through the clouds and feeling the wind beneath your wings is simply magical. The quests in World of Warcraft Dragonflight are exciting and diverse. They tell an engaging story that delves deep into the fascinating lore of World of Warcraft. Another plus point is the regular provision of updates and expansions for World of Warcraft Dragonflight. The developers take community feedback seriously and continuously work to improve the game and enrich it with new content. This ensures that players always have fresh content available and that the fun of the game is preserved. - Lots of cosmetics

    - Not a billion currencies

    - Brought the fun back into WoW (so far)

    - It's actually Warcraft and not whatever fanfiction was Shadowlands

    - The talent trees are amazing for most classes

    - The Dragon Isles feel and look great

    - Professions were updated, with cute showable gear

    - The lore is pretty decent too despite a few hiccups (so far)

    - Causes boomers to seethe when they see 1 gay couple (pretending anyone reads questtexts)

    - Not made by Jeff Hamilton who left Blizzard and suddenly it's 100% more fun

    - The dragon isles are a really charming and fun place to be in

    - The expansion seems to be focused on fun, not on "wasting as much time as possible"

    Negatives:

    - Dragon riding is an annoying motion sickness enducing minigame

    - The new race is locked into 1 class despite the community asking for less restrictions and Blizzard even gave in by making rogue, priest and mages available for all races

    - The new race is also in both forms incredibly ugly and in the dragon form you can't transmog armor

    - Night elf shamans among the primalists.... What? We can't even play those and night elves are not known to be very shamanistic so I am very confused. I could let vulpera being among them slide, but night elves? Why?

    - The game is still suffering from restrictions over all. All across the dragon isles you will meet NPCs that can mix their armor types or do stuff that we players can't. Dracthyr NPCs being able to wear a hat? Check. Vulpera mage apprentices being able to wear the witch hat from a seasonal event that we players can only wear then? Check. A blood elf with a two hander sword wearing a mix of class specific PvP hunter and paladin sets that is a mage? Check. NPcs can be classes that we players can't be? Check. We can't we mixmatch sets? Is this game made for the NPCs and we players are just a sideshow or what?

    - Steve Danuser is still in charge for the lore

    - Most of the sets are the most ugliest sets I have ever seen - If you're not on the Dragon Isles the game shows how outdated it has become, the old world still has textures from 2006 - Customisations are laughable and not evenly distributed across the races - The dragon isles are neat, but over all the game has still outdated zones everywhere outside of that and it's also suffering from the "no fun allowed" approach - Very expensive With everything being said... I would give it a solid 8 out of 10 so far. If you ignore that the game is outside of the dragon isles a huge ugly patch rug, then you can absolutely enjoy DF. If you plan to play any content outside of DF then you will notice the flaws incredibly quickly. I recommend playing it. Didn't had this much fun in this game since Legion.

I’m as cynical as they come about the hyper capitalist state of modern gaming, but it really does look like Blizzard has made a philosophical change on their WoW team, even if my cynicism still wonders if this is all from desperation. Either way the result is a game where you fight the enemies, and it never feels like the game is fighting you. It’s such a whiplash from the experience of the last 3 expansions, it’s hard to explain just how different it is, or decide where to start that explanation. The most obvious point is the end of the borrowed power era of WoW, so I’ll take that first. Gone are the days of nuggets of player power locked behind artificial time delays and content droughts, and instead what we get is a giant 15-way intersection that does more than ever to represent the vast and varied types of players that still play.

When I returned to Azeroth after a year plus break in 8.2.5 Rise of Azshara, I met someone who informed me of my task list I needed to complete just to have a “raid-ready” character, and boy it was a doozy. A steady diet of weekly mythic dungeons could get you Azerite armor, but unless it was the specific ones you needed you’d be weaker. The best essences required daily quest grinds, leveling up a follower in Nazjatar, and a number of reputation grinds. Then there was the Benthic gear, which gave you raid specific bonuses, and that’s all before you needed the azerite power to level up your heart of Azeroth enough to use all this. This was the norm for active players, but for me it was a completely reasonable thought for a returning player to think “this is more like Call of Duty than WoW”.

So many games today require you to do a myriad of tasks that engage you with game system5 It’s as though this new “optional” state of content has allowed the WoW team to make it much more varied and interesting. The professions feel like an entire occupation within the game, which has maybe never been the case in WoW compared to other MMOs. The dragonriding system helps you get to all of it with a brisk wind in your hair and a feeling of adventure, rather than the dread in your gut that flying from point to point is just a slowdown on your way to your next nugget of artifact power. The treasures and secrets are there to be appreciated, not just to give you more of a resource. I find myself once again falling in love with the World of Warcraft memories of my youth, but this time it actually feels touched with a modern polish that’s been badly missing, and a new story that has me salivating for the next events.

I’m not sure the other players of the last few years will find it satisfying. It could be that many of them don’t like World of Warcraft, and instead they like the competitive edge of the game and none of the “world”. Big damage numbers and looking cool while putting them up is a big motivation for me, but for some it’s the entire game. Those players may find themselves struggling to fill their newfound “free time”. There’s not much to do in terms of getting your character stronger, so unless that type of player decides to play more than one character now, they may just log off after they have had their fill of dungeons and raids, because they don’t enjoy the rest of the game. Is that bad? Is it still worth 15 bucks a month? I can’t decide that for them. If that kind of player asks me “so what do we do now”, I will simply have to give them the classic Eric Cartman line “what do you mean, now we finally get to play the game”.

I had such a blast learning how all her abilities worked while discovering the world and taking in WoW's story through its many, many quests -- as well as dying constantly! It really was a memorable time of my life. But, I have to be honest that I have been so, so let down by Blizzard's actions as a company, as well as WoW as a gaming franchise, in recent years.

With Dragonflight's release, however, I'm feeling hopeful about things again. I'm not sold on it in any sense, but I have been enjoying my time, and I feel that the developers have really focused on the nuts & bolts of WoW's fantasy, capably delivering the thrill of exploration and a new setting's wonders through a largely familiar cast of characters. I'll go over my highs and lows so far:

    LOWS
    - very shaky connectivity; sometimes getting chain disconnected while on slanted surfaces
    - profession knowledge points should be afforded respecs (at least some of the points invested). currently they are not, which can be rough without foresight
    - some events, like siege of dragonbane keep, are a bit faulty in that they "hang up" at the start, confusing players
    - too many trinket rewards! trinkets have great diversity, but how about shifting more proc/use effects onto other gear slots? it'd spice up otherwise boring gear, which is something i loved in classic -- the rocket helmet, harm reduction belt, various epic weapons, and all the others.

    HIGHS
    - dragonriding is incredible, and it is brilliant that it wasnt gated behind lengthy grinds. it has a very gw2 gryphon feel, and it's just a super fun system that enhances the game's pace. i hope they flesh out this system further. no more skyswimming!
    - talent trees are back! i main a healer and have so many talent loadouts based on our group comp and context. it's so rewarding to pick and choose, since many classes have great trees
    - the best parts of renown have been retained. reputation is no longer a barebones, grindy five-tier system. you unlock impactful rewards (or cosmetics, which are impactful for me lol) with almost every renown level
    - despite what i said earlier, the profession overhaul is fantastic and has a real fantasy feel -- i love that my potion mastery alchemist has to complete a decay/rot-themed dungeon to access "the altar of decay," a special alchemy lab required for brewing the most toxic potions. love that so much, so cool, takes me back to the scholomance flask-brewing days :)
    - the new crossfaction systems are lovely and i hope that factions become a purely cosmetic choice so that i can do even more with my alliance friends, like just hang out in stormwind!
    - gearing is remarkable -- the way pvp gear works now is great for casual and hardcore pvpers alike, renown is important for professions but neither professions nor renown are essential, world quests feel more accessible and rewarding than ever
    - honestly, there is just a lot more wholesome content now. calling back to the first part of my review, i remember doing the love letter exchange in goldshire as well as many other love-themed quests throughout the entirety of wow (an entire quest chain central to MoP's story was about a crush!). i really enjoyed doing those quests to get away from all the heavyhanded war tales every now and then. in all my years playing wow, though, almost twenty years, i can count maybe a half-dozen times at most that any quests or any content at all have referenced or involved lgbt couples or people. there arent many in dragonflight (i can think of 4 references), but the ones that were there were really tasteful and didnt feel forced or pandery like the very, very conspicuous 0 star raters have implied/seethed. seriously, its fine lol cmon now its just two characters in love. youll be fine
    - a lot of the quests are just very well-written, with good dialogue, cinematics, and familiar story elements for us old wow nerds. it's some seriously good storytelling. i was especially taken by viritistrasz's quest, and the tuskarr's life rituals.
    - valdrakken is a gorgeous city, maybe the best city design i've seen so far. it seamlessly incorporates so many of the game's new systems into its design, and has some fantastic story behind the valdrakken accord.
    - the evoker, which i am shamelessly maining because it's new lol, is wicked fun! i heal mostly and just dps to quest, but it really feels like blizzard nailed the reactive elements and ramp elements of healing, wrapped up with some nice mobility. cannot overstate how fun this new class is.

Anyway, that's all that comes to mind. Givw this one a try for sure! I don''t wanna get ahead of myself because it is still very, very new, but it shows a ton of promise.

Launch was largely uncomplicated, the bugs are few/far between, and the gameplay is seriously enjoyable.I really hope that Blizzard keeps this up because it feels like a return to form.

I honestly don't think it deserves the hate it is getting. Not sure why this whole "woke" thing has people so upset. The gameplay is fun so far, the dragon riding is a good compromise between no flying and being able to fly right off the bat, the quests are engaging, and the talent system is a nice change so far. The game probably deserves a 8/10, but due to the absolutely rediculous reviews I read here I had to bump it up to 10 to combat those.

If you missed a day there, let alone a whole week, you could aswell quit the game because you fell behind in the endless power grind. (At least thats how it felt)

Dragonflight now is the exact opposite. You can log in 30 minutes or an hour a day to just do what you want. There is no endless rush to meet expectations. Everything can be done at your own pace. For the aging and returning playerbase this is the most welcome change the game could have done. The returning skill trees, dragonriding, the new continent, artwork, etc. are the cherry on top that makes this expansion (so far) extremely enjoyable and worth every penny.
For everyone like me, who feels the slight itch to try it out, I can fully recommend it.

Dragonflight new feature is Dragonflying and it is really fun feature. In addition, it makes you see the new area, Dragon Isles in its majestically beautiful view up in the sky. Just like on all other WoW expansions, its new features is different from other Expansions to keep the game fresh.

WoW is a Massive game with a Massive World. New players would always be overwhelmed. They would whine becoz they are inefficient in the game due to their inexperience. They are the ones who would give bad ratings on this game. You know tourists... a little unpleasant stuff would get them irritated so easily.

If you are looking for a serious game with lots of things to explore and lot of things to do, this is the game for you. This comes from a WoW player who's been with WoW since the start 18 years ago. This is a game for hardcore and for Casuals.

TLDR: Dragonfight is a breath of fresh air. There is exceptional freedom and amazing quantity and quality of content for the part of the expansion offered compared to the past four expansions. This is a flawed gem. But it is a gem.

    (Mostly) Complete Review:
I will try to be balanced in my review, offering both criticisms were they are valid and praise where it is due and focusing primarily on the game itself. However, I must first address the elephant in the room, that especially in more recent reviews, is deceptive in the way it is presented. The races are being allowed to work together even cross faction now. In raids, dungeons and open world content. And as has been known now for a month as of typing this review, cross-faction guilds are coming.

Now, before I start I will say I am a veteran MMO player. Starting in and since 2005 I have played World of Warcraft, City of Heroes, Final Fantasy XIV, Elder Scrolls Online, Guild Wars 2 and Lord of the Rings Online to name a few of many.
My World of Warcraft history: Consistent player for the first game and first three expansions. Stopped playing with Warlords of Draenor except 1 month each expansion until Dragonflight.

Player versus player: I do not participate in this content in this game so I will not comment on it in this review except to say I have heard good things from friends who do participate in it. Beyond that I will leave it to others to review this feature.

Dragonriding. This is a fun system and while clearly inspired by Guild Wars 2, is distinct enough with far less restrictions to flight time and how often you can use special movement abilities to feel fresh and fun.
The only real issue here is the fact that you have to go out and collect special markers to unlock abilities and more stamina and while this only takes a few hours, it can make starting with the dragonriding system feel a bit slow.

Open world content. There is a surprising amount of this, with more being added constantly, more than in previous expansions and at a faster rate than ever. Activities on this front currently include world quests, daily quests, weekly quests, dragon racing, rare hunting, multiple special zone events, treasure hunting and little special events unlocked by quest chains that I will not elaborate on here for wanting to stay spoiler free.
Issues here. Not many to speak of. Unless you are logging in for 12+hours a day, there is more than enough to do without anything feeling too stale if you vary between the activities.

Instanced content. The raid is really fun. It's complex enough that it's a challenge if you don't use too many addons, but easy enough that you don't need to use too many. The dungeon system has continued on with some learned lessons, bringing a select number of previous expansions dungeons into relevancy by allowing people to temporarily bring them to modern levels of difficulty and reward for the current part of the patch cycle.
Issues. Oh boy, while the raid is fine, there's nothing to really complain about there, I have to address dungeons. The changing nature of the mythic+ dungeons via the affix system can feel nasty. Affixes add new weekly challenges to dungeon in the form of new mechanics. And some of them in certain dungeons can disrupt the mechanics already present and add damage spikes on top of the normal incoming damage spikes. This can feel very very bad sometimes.

The stories, both main and side ones have undergone vast improvements in how they are presented, offering far more emotional impact while being more down to earth than has been seen in World of Warcraft in years. There has also been a clear effort in this expansion to have a more connected overall story. Of late there has also been a trend in the quest to address the social issues caused by actions of races in the past. Contrary to what some other reviews have mentioned, old racial divides are being addressed.
Issues here. The story could be more connected than they have already made it

The looks. Okay, the graphics lag behind a little, or in some cases, a lot. But there have been and continue to be improvements made on this front. In entire zones of new expansions and piece by piece in the older zones with newer models brought in to areas over time to bring the game to a more modern standard. Character customisation is lacking in places, but again, this is being addressed patch to patch.
Issues. There is a lot of outdated stuff. But credit where it is due, they are addressing that.

The crafting system. The system is mostly fine. However problems arise in not being able to refund specialisation points and in the progression through the system not being made clear enough. Beyond that, it's fine.

There is so much more I could say in my review, but sadly, I am reaching my character limit, so allow me to wrap this up and say this expansion is the best this game has been in a long time.

    Anyway, back to the review.

No systems that force you to log in each day to keep up. Player power is almost entirely disconnected from rep and other grinds, it's mostly cosmetic with a bit of gear (can get that other ways).

Storyline is the only let-down so far. It has it's good moments, and even a few very good moments, but it is largely repetitive and a bit forgettable.

Class balance is fantastic, all specs are viable for casual players and most still are for above average players.

Dragonriding is amazing. Once you flesh out the talent tree a little (doesn't take long) it becomes a very fun and very fast way to get around, which you wouldn't normally see at the beginning of an expac.

Blizzard has done very well *so far* with this new expac, excited to see where it goes over the next couple years. I'm very much into m+ so will be interesting to see how gearing goes now that +15s don't award highest ilvl from the vault.

As an experienced 15+ years wow player, I’m fairly impressed. Listening to non toxic part of game community paid off and for now we have a very promising start of the expansion. Pros:
    - Dragon riding is actually fun and flying is unlocked from the start;
    - No grind systems built in such as legendaries, conduits, torghast, etc.; - Story and side quests are finally interesting to follow

    - Dragon riding is actually fun and flying is unlocked from the start;
    - No grind systems built in such as legendaries, conduits, torghast, etc.;
    - Story and side quests are finally interesting to follow again because they are focused around our old acquaintances;
    - Gearing system for pvp finally doesn’t include any pve related activity and provides even ground for participants - only skill matters;
    - Revamped professions system is deep and keeps you interested, especially because crafted gear is a viable option for gearing in pve and pvp content. - Design of locations is as good as always, but being back to Azeroth after SL feels cozy.
    - Auction house in the main city on Dragon islands - what a time to be alive.

    Cons:
    - Modern day agenda is something this game could do fine without, though it’s not to intrusive beside that body type 1 and body type 2.
    - Small technical problems related to expansion launch, but it’s totally solvable.

I saw a review bombing happening to this product and had to register to write my first review because I just think it’s quite unfair to review bomb this game. Unlike Shadowlands Blizzard actually listened to community feedback and seemingly made a great expansion. Let’s see how they will develop it. For now it’s very promising.

Imagine that, gameplay in a video game! There's so much to do, with so much variety, from traditional WoW reputation grinds to mountain climbing to exploration events, rare mobs to farm, dungeons to do, and that's all well before the M+ and raid season open next week.

The storytelling in this expansion thus far reminds me of the good story driven expansions - Wrath, MoP - and has been a genuine pleasure to experience.

A great innovation, like a breath of fresh air after the grim and dark expansion that was Shadowlands. Dragonflight, this years most anticipated release for me.

How does it stack up? It's the most fun I've had playing WoW since Cata and pandaland. Speaking of mists, Dragonflight has some serious mists vibe, along with some vanilla. Rather than dealling with big cosmic threats of the past few expansions, Dragonflight deals with exploration of a new land and the legacy of the Dragonflights.

Rather than dealling with big cosmic threats of the past few expansions, Dragonflight deals with exploration of a new land and the legacy of the Dragonflights.

The new zones are all beautiful. The waking shore, home of the Black and Red Dragonflights, possesses contrastic landscapes characteristic of the two flights, the desolate volcanic and lush forests respectively.

The plains, home of the Green Dragonflight and the Maruuk centaur tribes, the only friendly centaur faction currently in game. The plains really make one thing, "This is what Desolace must have looked like before Theradras ruined it"

The Azur span, home of the Blue Dragonflight and a new tribe of Tuskarr. Reminiscent several Northrend zones, mainly the Grizzly hills and Borean Tundra's Nexus sublocation.

Tge final questing zone of Thaldraszus serves at the home of the Bronze Dragonflight and home of the main player hub of the expansion. Thaldraszus has perphaps the least visually pleasing landscape of the expansion, but, still visually pleasing nonetheless. A mountainous region, that possess prestine architecture of both dragonkind and titan origin, where the architecture of other regions of the same origins were ruins.

The new race/combo of Dracthyr arefun to play, and have a good deal of customization in both their dragon and humanoid forms.

Dragon riding is also a blast, a new activity of dragon racing also offers a great competitive side activity to do.

There are other aspects of the expansion, like profession overhauls and representation that I don't pay attention to, so i'll let others factor thise into their reviews.

From here on out is largely spoiler territory.

The levwling story, centers around restoring the Oathstones of each Dragonflight, which Alexstrasza believes will restore the Aspects powers, and combating the Primalists, a faction akin to the Twilight Hammer that enslave elementals. Lead by the incarnates, ancient protodrakes who resent titan influence over the world. Lead by Raszageth, the only incarnate who has been freed from her prison, they serve as the current primary antagonists of the story. The first raid tier Vault of the Incarnates will center around this conflict. The interactions between Wrathion and Sabellian has brother energy that I just love, with similar motives but different tactics for what they do.

There is so many new stuff mounts, pets, transmog to collect so I'm not sure if I even will get all of this. That dragonflying is amazing idea and I love flying on my drake.
Graphic got a lot of updates, for over 18 years old game it looks better than some new mmorpg games. Playing WoW is like watching funny comedic cartoon. People who talk about old graphic have no idea how bad looks games from 2004 that have realistic graphic like that in New World for example.
In every new expansion wow updates engine and I can see that, game developers can even upgrade it more but, most of players don't have RTX 3080 to play it.

This time it's not an epic story about the Old Gods (hopefully), it's a nice adventure, full of vast variety of activities.
The fractions are different, their quests are different.
Dragonriding makes travelling from point A to point B more fun and engaging.
Now every new feature has it's proper timing, a player is not overwhelmed with everything from the beginning.

Of course, it would be wrong not to mention the problems still unsolved.
    The balance that doesn't exist.
    Still no new battlegrounds.
It's pretty difficult for people without guild membership to reach optimal item level. BG chests don't provide you with equipment, world quests do, but you won't be a match for a player who already could try the new raid, and LFR is one week late :')
And LFR is a problem, too. Why the ilvl is so low? I think it would be nice if LFR was available for different difficulty as well.

All in all, it's an expansion to have fun. I do not consider it as a cybersport discipline or something like this, but for an average casual player it has a lot to offer.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is somehow a breath of fresh air and a celebration of classic design principles in equal measure. The return to more dynamic, old-school talent trees enhances the class fantasy with a seasoning of new abilities across the board. At the same time, the retreat of pressuring, artificial power-gating systems promotes a more healthy gameplay loop. The game is also gorgeous, with a more promising storyline, elevated cinematic delivery mechanics, and deeper core systems which make for one of WoW's best expansions in years.

I appreciate the new interface (it needs getting used to though) and talent system (those dilemmas!), as well as changes to crafting that raise its importance. I enjoyed dragonriding a lot and found quests to be engaging, but was disappointed by dull dungeons and repetitive endgame content. World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is a pretty safe expansion and I expected a bit more from it, but I do feel it has a huge potential that could be fulfilled in the near future.
