I have about 50 hours played so far. I am not capped yet. So far however this game is extremely fun. It's the first MMO in years that has been a joy. Its got an amazing amount of content, the gameplay (combat) is refreshing, and its just fun. This genre takes awhile to really review but so far I am extremely pleased.

Though this game looked to me on twitch like "meh" and too "sci-fi", when you play it it is lot of fun, and the graphics are cool if you like cartoonish style. The fight system is amazing, plenty of lore stuff, paths are new features that enhance the gameplay, and characters are pretty customize-able. Definitely give it try.

Fun, for a little while... Then it soon seems generic, and the interest evaporates. There are few classes, and the difference between the two sides is only cosmetic. The Dominion quests and NPCs were much less irritating though; if you really want to try the game out, go Dominion.

Wildstar shares the creators of Vanilla WOW and offers a new spin on a traditional MMO. With the action packed combat, extensive housing, PVP warplots, arenas, dungeons and unbelievable hard 20-40 man raids this game has a lot to offer for those who a not happy with modern tumbled down MMOs. 10/10

WOW. That's all I can say..
This game has blown me out of the water, i have played every mmo, world of warcraft being the main one, with 190 days of game time logged that i can find. This game has it all though, it has the fluid motion and feel that actually makes you happy to travel, small ledges? jump over it, high ledge? double jump, no more walking around rocks like a peasant.

This game has it all though, it has the fluid motion and feel that actually makes you happy to travel, small ledges? jump over it, high ledge? double jump, no more walking around rocks like a peasant. Sprinting, its balanced, effective as a move boost and also helps with travel and has a decent enough regen to make it feel useful but not op. The story, being a new, non lore defined game they got to make their own, they put in interesting characters that you don't look too deeply into and are straight to it, because lets be honest, who reads quest logs unless you're lost. Now, the action combat is great, by level 10 i am switching skills and rotating spells when needed to beat plain old mobs and a 2 man quest boss? You're done mate, its a challenge, i cannot wait for 5 man instances. The graphics have a nice feel to them, they feel familar, as what i would call wow meets borderlands styling.
Honestly, if you are like me and tired of wow a long time ago and have been looking for an interesting mmo with a great feel to it but a challenging enough gameplay to keep you interested.

WildStar does a good job of taking MMO staples and making them fresh again. From combat to questing, dungeons, raids and housing they have put their spin on traditional conventions and IMO, it feels very fresh and fun.

Find a friend who has purchased the game and see if they have an extra 7-day guest pass for you, and play up to level 15 to decide if you like it. For me, it's a blast.

Housing on the other hand is a blast you can do so much with your plot I saw a guy make a puma with a golden ship for a penis and any game that supports that kind of customization in housing gets a + from me. PvP is pretty fun haven't done enough of it to really say if its good or not. It is fun though. All in all It's probably the most fun I've had in an MMO since WoW vanilla and I'm excited to experience new things in this world every day. I really recommend this game for MMO lovers. Expand

This game is probably the best MMORPG since WoW:BC. I have played WoW from vanilla to cataclysm, FF14ARR, GW2, Tera, and many other free mmorpgs. And most of them got REALLY dull. WoW was the best one, but it became TOO casual for my taste.

    Pros:
This game has a lot of content, and I mean A LOT. There is something for everyone, whether it be questing, choosing a specific path, working on housing, professions, etc. I have not gone to end game yet, so I can't comment on that.. but from the dungeons I've done, I can see a fun and exciting challenge awaiting.

    Cons:
Of course, not many games ever had the perfect launch... not even WoW. Server queues were pretty bad at the start, but only because EVERYONE was trying to get into a specific one (they made a few more realms to help resolve this issue). My BIGGEST complaint will have to be some of the sloppy UI. The questing system is a bit hectic, and not as compartmentalized as some of the other MMOs. I'm sure they'll fix it and make it better, just as WoW did... and for now Addons help with this problem. Another con people might have is the art style (a bit cartoonish), but the graphics are nice. If you can get over the cartoonish artstyle, this game is great.

TL;DR: This game is amazing in terms of content, gameplay, and game mechanics. Cons are sloppy UI and questing system, however just like any start of an MMO, give it time to be refined. Definitely a game made to last.

I'm already very disappointed, and I haven't even gotten near max level yet. The Dominion 'flavor' feels like they just think it's 'cool' to be 'evil'... and I feel no attachment to any of the characters or sense of why I should think that doing something ever matters. And why is the 'evil side' the only one with any touch of religion? Really? Over the top and heavy-handed.

I really wanted this game to be better, as I was looking forward to it for quite awhile, but it feels as though the game was designed by people with a ton of nostalgia for hardcore mmo's that never actually had to deal with the BS that went with that hardcore setup.

The player movement 'acceleration' is a huge issue for me, as well, as is the sprint 'resource' that is even applied to mount speed. I feel like my character is on a yo-yo when I have to change directions rapidly. 'Rolling' breaks auto run. Etc. etc.

The combat is decently fun (played Esper, Spellslinger, and Warrior), and the visuals are fairly intuitive. I like the flow of it, overall.

Add the BSODs, which I eventually managed to work around, and the memory leaks, plus the graphic bugs and I almost wanted to give up. Then I saw a video of someone saying, "try it up to level 20 and try the dungeons."

So I decided to stick with it. I am actually really happy I did. Carbine released a patch with game performance and graphics optimisation the day after the launch and the game runs smoothly for me. The combat is a lot of fun, and while the quests are nothing special, I found the paths to be interesting.

The graphics are similar to WOW but they have an added level of polish that is hard to describe in words, you got to see them.

I really like the music, too.

Dungeons are challenging and fun, something I have been trying to find since I quit WOW and since WOW went EZ mode. I got hooked to this game, although I am not entirely sure if this hook will hold, so far I really can't wait until the next time I play.

The quests operate similar to most MMOs, but I feel like they have more purpose and add to the storyline. Adventure mode is a lot of fun and I'm gearing up for my first dungeon. The housing is a fun feature and I like having access to my own challenges on my plot. The class/job system is great since every class can fit into multiple roles (tank, dps, healer). For those burnt out on WOW's content, WildStar is easy to endorse. Immediately familiar to anyone who's visited Azeroth and with enough new twists on the tried-and-tested theme park formula, Carbine's game is so overflowing with stuff to do that it's certainly justified in asking for a subscription - even if less people seem prepared to sign up to one.

Wildstar banks on hardcore raid and instance difficulty as well as its excellently implemented "dancing" real time combat mechanic to offer something significantly new and fresh to the MMORPG scene. Low server population and annoying hints of a "Pay To Win More" model hold it back in certain areas, but it has all the potential of becoming a well established and much loved setting for years to come.
