Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown DLC is a very nice complement to the main game. The story contained in the expansion pack is of the same caliber as what's in the main campaign, but it also does a great job of slotting itself into the campaign without feeling like a huge diversion. The environment is fresh, and the enemies are enjoyable to fight, especially those on mechs, but the gameplay mechanics introduced here and in the previous patches give Wasteland 3 veterans enough of a reason to return and try another run. It's good enough that we want to see what the next expansion looks like.

With a new engaging story nicely integrated with the main campaign, excellent writing, and new combat mechanics, Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown is a more than worthy purchase for all those who have loved the game. The new campaign's high challenge level and relatively short length of the main quest may put some off, but, everything considered, The Battle of Steeltown is the perfect continuation of an already excellent experience.

Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown offers enough content to intrigue even the most hardened Rangers. It doesn't last long, but the quality/price ratio is definitely excellent.

A fine DLC that adds some more hours of solid Wasteland 3 content, with the usual mixture of tactical combat, open-ended gameplay and more than a few choices that can alter the story. It's not flawless, nor is it the most ambitious expansion ever made, but if you're looking for an excuse to come back to the frozen wastelands of Colorado, The Battle of Steeltown can provide another 7-8 hours of good content.

Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown has a few notable flaws, and it's also a fairly short romp. However, there's enough content and tactical depth to make you want to keep adventuring in this post-apocalyptic landscape.

A worthy DLC to a very good game. Easy to follow storyline and lots of new quests.

Loved the base game but this dlc was pretty disappointing. The storyline was decently written for what little storyline there was. HonestlyLoved the base game but this dlc was pretty disappointing. The storyline was decently written for what little storyline there was. Honestly after doing all side quests, and finishing in about seven hours on supreme jerk, I realized that there was hardly any storyline at all. It might as well be called wasteland 3 arena seeing as how the majority of the time was spent mindlessly battling with hardly a reason. I was invested in the base game story which added to the joy of combat. The dlc was severely lacking this. Full Review »

I loved this DLC. Some people complained that it was too short for the price and that they got through it in three hours but honestly, ifI loved this DLC. Some people complained that it was too short for the price and that they got through it in three hours but honestly, if you're getting through it in three hours, you're doing it wrong. Either your difficulty is too low or you're not doing side quests and missing half the fun. Lots of interesting new storyline, multiple zones to play in, different endings and the difficulty scales with your party level. You can play it early on when your party is level 10 or so or even late in the game when you're reaching the Yuma County Speedway about to face down Liberty at the highest levels. Interesting new weapon and combat mechanics to play with and new crafting aspects make it a lot of fun. Full Review »
