    10 of 10. I rarely leave such a score.

I played it in 1999. I didn't finish due to bugs and a flickering screen. The mission "Two towers" always had some bugs when the game froze or dropped. The same happened in an ice mission of an ambush when you start at the bottom of the mountain pass.

I've finished it now. After 23 years. I am very happy I did it with no cheats, a second attempt on the last mission, and only three types of units left. Including buffed fire mage.

    Pros.
    - Cool story.
    - Amazing characters.
    - Cool missions.
    - The game is hard.
    - The book of units when you arrange the forces.
    - Dialogues.
    - The game punishes you if you fail even a bit.
    - You THINK when fighting. And each mission is cool.
    - I can't call the necessity to use some tweaks to run it smoothly. We have a solid fan community which helps to run it.

    Cons.:
    - None, except lack of the remaster or continuation.

Ha! The only review....I also played this on PS1...
--this game was my 1st Warhammer and it sure was fun....
-The Xbox 360 sequel was Battle March and I just couldn't learn it enough to enjoy it so I quit...

dark Omen allows you to take the Looong path to you're missions and on the way you pick up powerful squads. Ranging from a steam tank, to a squad of Dark Elves, to Militia with Musket style rifles...
-in the end you have a game that is fun 2 play..
--you set you're guys up strategically before you LAUNCH the game every time...then it's live action where you can pause to issues ands then return to real-time...you find an attachment you add to whichever squad...example is a trinket that's makes this squad immune to arrows,,or blast,,or this squad travels 3X's as fast,,or they have a special attack that has a timer then resets and it shoots medium damage lightning as you're engaged.....

This game is still fun today because it doesn't require graphics to be fun.....

I'm surprised GAMES WORKSHOPS NEVER REPEATED THIS STULE OF FUN GAME...I loved finding a squad of drunken dwarves who would just stop fighting Nd start drinking,,,or dark elves who would t care about friendly fire because they are in it for coin & cleavage.....Google this game and have fun,,,maybe it's not a 10 but I sure enjoyed it and it's the on,y PS1 game I kept all these years,,,
