    I never really believed in the new Warcraft 3 reforged and was just happy with the old client and all the custum maps. Now they really closed down the Battlenet servers???!! This is so **** up, so Blizzard didnt deliver anything good or even compareble to the old game, no they even closed the servers to a very popular and loved game.. they f*cked up the new game and the old one too. PleaseI never really believed in the new Warcraft 3 reforged and was just happy with the old client and all the custum maps. Now they really closed down the Battlenet servers???!!     If remaster is bad at least you can play old game you owned. If reforged your game is gone, and only way you can play it now its to pirate it.     Игра абсолютно не оправдала ожиданий. Это просто пиз.....ц. Наобещать столько всего и ничего из обещанного не реализовать. Сделал рефаунд и не сожалею. Очень разочарован действиями Близзов.

Words can not describe my disappointed in this "Reforged" version. I do not need to repeat every single broken promise which has been documented thousands of times by other enthusiasts. I will just share my personal experience with "Reforged".

    I only own the classic version and today was the first time I tried to play it since the Reforged release. My game was forcefully updated to the Reforge version and now consumes 26.5GB of disk space as compared to 1.3 GB before. When I launched Warcraft 3 I was met by a closed gate and a message saying "Error There was an error in handling the request." I clicked on OK and the game continued to show the closed gate for a while until it crashed. So I tried launching it again and the same problem occured. I am now unable to play Warcraft III Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne, games which I purchased at least 15 years ago.

    My verdict of Warcraft III Reforged is that it was an incredibly sloppy job done to one of the greatest games in history. Personally, I'd like to call Reforge an attempted scam and cash grab. A 30 GB malware which renders your previously purchased and perfectly working game unplayable.    … Expand

    5 meses han pasado y aún no hay cambios, no funciona bien el multijugador, no hay perfiles, clanes, etc. Ademas está mal optimizado y sinceramente los gráficos no dejan mucho que desear, las texturas del terreno eran mucho más naturales y creíbles en Warcraft de hace 20 añosnque ahora.

    Looks like a cheap and desperate cash grab, Blizzard we loved is no more. This is the first Downgrade to a game I have ever seen that you are forced to have and some people actually paid money for.
    Worst part is that old Warcraft is not available anymore.

    This game was the biggest disappointment ever. There is actually nothing new, some things are worse or are removed at all! What happened to multiplayer?! The only thing that is new are graphics but those make the game buggy, it looks weird and you can not really tell who is who in the fight unlike in original when you can tell what unit is who on first glance. Random battles kill hero's while on easiest mode, enemies hero's grow stronger and overwhelm my hero. I have won all quests but rarely win random game on easiest mode.     This is the absolute betrayal of fans, who just expected a polished, graphical updated version of their favourite game. Instead, Blizzard shat all over its legacy and managed to ruin the last pillar of RTS gaming. How can you fail an already perfect game which just needed a small graphic update? Thanks for nothing you greedy bastards.

    Biggest deception in my gaming life. This was made by people that don’t care about the original and absolutely did not understand what made the original so good. Even worse, they replaced the original game with reforged. As such they destroyed a 20 year old classic game that was still unmatched in its genre and to which there is no alternative.

    I registered on the website just so I can down vote this crappy joke of a game. I ended up waiting 1 year for it to be patched to enjoy the campaign (2 player custom coop) just to find out that they played around with the difficulty on the campaign maps and changed significantly the layout on some levels (for example the culling of stratholme). Sadly it's still full of bugs, what aI registered on the website just so I can down vote this crappy joke of a game.     after one year the game is still unjoyable, i think it is the worst remake ever done (Age of empire 2 DE, Demon souls PS5 manage to deliver an excellent remake).
    Reign of chaos was one of my favourite game, i played hundred of hours on it, and this one i still manage to not be able to play without FPS drop, lagg and other... (i can play TW W2, RDR 2 quite easily)
    This game is a    after one year the game is still unjoyable, i think it is the worst remake ever done (Age of empire 2 DE, Demon souls PS5 manage to deliver an excellent remake).

    This is absolute betrayal from Blizzard. They have promised a tons of things for this game and all they did is change assets - which was also done by some external company and you can tell.
    I guess the lesson from this game is: Never pre-order Blizzard game again :)

    Still waiting for ranked game in one and a half year, the worst remake ever by far, ruining the game and leaving it. The game was better before reforged i can tell you that, i love this game so much and they ruined the last part of it.
    Thire review is one and a half year after release, it's a shame. The game is dead cuz of a remake...

    The second issue I have is the changes in the company's approach to custom maps. Blizzard implemented rules so that they would own anything created in these maps. My opinion is this was so that they wouldnt "miss out" on the next opportunity which completely misses that they missed out on this one. if Blizzard had approached the DOTA team and said hey we want to hire you and buy your game idea for $50k i can pretty well guarantee that the team would have been all about it. Instead Blizzard now wishes it had done so missing that the opportunity was there but they couldnt see it and instead of appreciating that several highly popular game types are now available to enjoy they can only see the missed opportunity they could never have seen anyway.    … Expand

    I played Warcraft3 from launch on my Mac until the game stopped launching in that OS. I recently learned of this new version and gave it a try. The new menu is a bloated mess, the graphics look terrible, and the performance is sluggish.

    I wish they had just patched the old version of Frozen Throne to work on newer operating systems.

    Horrific remake that almost broke the wonderful community that been built around this masterpiece. It was so laughably simple for Blizzard to get a big win from this and a lot of kudos/love from the community. It was so laughably simple for Blizzard to get a big win from this and a lot of kudos/love from the community.     They sold us : cinematics....nothing
    Graphics are not that bad but its not enough these days. Reforged was not the appropriate name. GOTY was better...but without touching the old one. Nowadays, old is always better ;)

    Still bad, still no features available in classic Warcraft III. The unresponsive UI written in some web framework instead of native technologies, which causes lags, strange behaviors etc. still annoys af.

    This game was a big part of my childhood and I connect many memories with it.
    Reforged is the best example of how a masterpiece evolves to a trash bin. Seriously, Im pretty sure I wont buy any more games of Blizzard at all.

    This game is worse than the original. The worst thing is they removed the original so I can't even play the actual game I paid for ages ago. A baltant and pathetic cash grab. Bliz has fallen, no longer the company that used to make great games at all.

    The game generally has a terrible UI, barely remastered cutscenes, and it's super buggy.
    Seems like Metascores from big review companies are only for circulate money, and make you buy it.

    Downgraded Visuals:

    Broken Promises:

    As a 10yr old kid I worked my ass off to save the money to buy the original WC3. This game on the other hand is the first and only game I have ever refunded because it was so terrible.

    how did they manage to make it worse? AND charge you $80 for it? Insane.

    Not what we asked for or were promised. Reforged is a 100% loss and back step in every way. The only update they made was the models and it totally betrays the original art style. At least let us play the original and not force us to update to the unnecessarily large new version to connect to Battle.net.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
