    Warcraft III was a great game. It had been abandoned for years. And then in 2018 Blizzard decided they hated their fans. Why? Because their fans went elsewhere to play DotA. But why did that happen? Simple. Blizzard told Icefrog to go away. Stop bothering them about the bugs in THEIR engine he had found.    This is not a brigade. This is one individual writing this of his own free will.

    Warcraft III was a great game. It had been abandoned for years. And then in 2018 Blizzard decided they hated their fans. Why? Because their fans went elsewhere to play DotA. But why did that happen? Simple. Blizzard told Icefrog to go away. Stop bothering them about the bugs in THEIR engine he had found. Stop bothering them about how he wanted to push the limits of their game. He would even help them, for free. But they wouldn't give him the time of day. So he went elsewhere.

    And thus they felt like they had to take it out on those Warcraft 3 Classic fans. The very ones who had bought The Frozen Throne years prior were now in the crosshairs. Gone were the years and years of ignoring Warcraft 3. Now it had to be DESTROYED.

    And so they have. Forced updates from classic warcraft 3? Check. Now there will be no battle.net for classic warcraft 3. They have to suffer the NEGATIVE game that is reforged. All their features have been taken AWAY. And replaced by nothing but a graphics mod? Those mods existed in classic, by the way.

    They've done it. They've finally punished us for their distaste of Dota / Icefrog. They've finally killed Warcraft, just like they did to Diablo (Starcraft II barely survived).    … Expand

    I might as well throw in my two cents. I didn't even purchase Reforged, but the forced merging of the clients has effectively rendered my classic version useless. The amount of features gone are more than i care to count.

    Not only that, I'm experiencing getting a 30 GB or whatever download forced onto my hard drive, which according to rumors contains Reforged assets I can't even use as    I might as well throw in my two cents. I didn't even purchase Reforged, but the forced merging of the clients has effectively rendered my classic version useless. The amount of features gone are more than i care to count.

    They cut a lot of stuff from the OG, and just upscaled cutscenes, and f*up a lot of other stuf, also F U EULA now most of the fun CG's will die cus of it.

    Warcraft 3 is amazing. Reforged doesn't improve on anything, adds lots of bugs and crashes, and removes features from the original game.

    As a refuge from Bethesda and all the **** they've tried to pull on me over the past 2+ years, I can honestly say the now even tod the god would have thought of running a game that was released in 2002. (but believe me, he's taking notes)

The 'cinematics' aren't there, 0 clans, 0 profiles, 0 custom campaign functionality, 0 LAN functionality, 0 offline play vs AI, 0 friend list, 0 custom keybinds, 0 new voice acting and most important of all: ZERO MOTIVATION FOR CUSTOM MAP DEVELOPMENT SINCE MODDERS CANNOT PROFIT FROM THEM ANYMORE.
    Basically all    Horrid break of promises. Why would Blizzard allow this to even be released.     after released 3 days, no patch to improve the game yet god job at least you prove how you care your game and your gamers.

    Pretty all around dissapointing. The whole sign away the rights to anything you make in the map editor is pretty messed up. Most of my favorite memories of the original game were focused on all those crazy custom maps.

    This game offers nothing new. It's absolutely not worth the money. A quick cashgrab by blizzard. They are not about games any more.

    Worst experience i've had with blizzard so far. I tried to appeal for a refund and got banned from the forums after asking for it. I wanted to give them the opportunity of the doubt with all the drama km the company but its truly sad they just care for the money. Not buying again.

    The game is ridden with seemingly downgraded graphics, missing assets, shoddy animations, countless bugs, facets of multiplayer not working correctly, recycled cinematics, sketchy performance, and the absence of a UI refresh among other promised features.

    It's actually amazing how they can manage to screw up such a beloved game, the fonundation is there and yet the team at blizzard manage to make this abomination.

    Incredibly disappointed with the broken promises, false marketing, and the fact that they patched the ORIGINAL 2002 version to have all the flaws that Reforged has. Warcraft 3 is dead.

Took a game i had an intense passion for and promised to improve it......i waited eagerly to unveil the awesome gift blizzard had decided to bestow upon me even (considering how great the original wc3 was) BUT THEN i unwrapped my gift to find not a lump of coal but a steaming pile of excrement with some pretty decent visuals to distract me from how bad they had botched reforged so i thought hey its OK ill just play classic like before right? WRONG THEY RUINED CLASSIC TOO!!!!! all i can say is that if you have WC3 classic say goodbye to it OH and do do not buy reforged under any circumstance.… Expand

    Truly disappointed with this game. The game isn't delivering half of what was shown on the trailers, and it feels incomplete and buggy. The worse part is that it broke Classic by removing a lot of neat stuff. I don't know if the execs dropped the ball, but whomever designed this game is not a REAL Warcraft fan.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
