Me and my friends used to play the original at LAN parties but with the reforged edition ruining the online features of the original that´s no longer possible.     bought it at 12, installed 12:30, after 2 hours (where i FORCED myself to complete 1 mission) i applied for refund
    few days ago i hoped this game is first sign that mayby there will be Warcraft IV, now i hope it will never happen - not with this blizzard

    Let see, I bought the game on Wed, Jan 29, 9:46 PM and issued a refund at Jan 30, 2020, 12:26 AM.

    I waited for around 1 hour to download the 24GB. I started to play around 10:30 PM in hope to try the campaign - nope when I tried I got an instant DEFEAT screen. I tried 3-5 times and each time I got a DEFEAT instantly. I quit and entered once again but this time in Offline mode and    Let see, I bought the game on Wed, Jan 29, 9:46 PM and issued a refund at Jan 30, 2020, 12:26 AM.

    I waited for around 1 hour to download the 24GB. I started to play around 10:30 PM in hope to try the campaign - nope when I tried I got an instant DEFEAT screen.

    I tried 3-5 times and each time I got a DEFEAT instantly. I quit and entered once again but this time in Offline mode and surprise surprise the campaign worked now. There were few glitches but hell it was working now. There were some strange redirects each time you won but hell it's day two release there might be some issues, I understood, those can be fixed.

    Then after one hour I tried the custom game or to be exact I tried to create a private custom game, the client froze for 10-20 seconds and it didn't do anything. I tied this multiply times and couldn't play a thing. So the main reason I bought the game ( the Custom games ) were not working.

    So I come to the conclusion that this was not a small issue that the developers didn't see, they were fully aware that the game was not ready and they still published it at this state. For me this was the boiling point and I issued a refund instantly.

    I'm a web developer and I know that it's out of the question to deliver a broken website to a client. And to have the audacity to still charge them full price for it, now this is priceless. I can't imagine what were they thinking when releasing this... calling it a game will be too good for it.

    So to the developers working at Blizzard, please find a better company, a company that will take care of their users, a company that see more then the numbers at the end of the year, a company that will take their developer advice, because I don't believe that this is the developers fault here but the company money driven ideology.

    So the score given is based on the scummy practice of the company and the starterkit packaged they tried to deliver as a "game".    … Expand

    A complete embarrassment that is the perfect symbol for modern Acti-Bizz. Poor performance and connection issues, numerous broken promises and missing features from the original, and EULA changes that will stifle any creativity in custom games. This is just sad and angering to see.

    It is not the game that I grew up with from 2002. There are so many problems with it. The graphics are not easy on the eyes as one thing wrong. The big thing is Blizzard current policy regarding it all.

    Blizzard has ruined warcraft for my buddies and me. Now we are just playing my copy of the w3 classic using logmein hamachi. As long as i have my og W3 i guess we will still be able to lan. Maybe someday blizzard will fix this downward spiral of destruction.

    Just another failed attempt to repackage and resell my childhood back to me. Even though I have not played Warcraft 3 in years it breaks my heart to know that all the custom games I spent days of my life on in my teens have been snapped right out of existence by blizzard BS.

    WARCRAFT III is a 10/10 game for me, it is part of my childhood .

    I was a crazy fan of Blizzard, I own every Blizzard game collector's edition, but now The Reforged waked me up , it is a turning point for me as a Blizzard fan. I may not going to apply for refund.

    Incredibly disappointing. It’s such a shame this was rushed and not done in-house. The game’s festered with bugs, and has this unfinished look and feel which is really not what you’d expect from a Blizzard game. As a huge WC3 fan, this is just sad.

    Side note they patched the 17 year old game to be as **** as this "remaster".

    Since the release, I've gone back to college, I have a great job, my wife and Fred is back home, I'm not drinking, life is just great. It's all thanks to Reforged for steering me back on the right path. For that, I'll never be able to thank you enough. All I can do for now is give you a zero, because if you weren't a zero, you never would have been my hero

    They’ve massacred my boy!
    I mean seriously guys, the game is so buggy I even wonder if they playtested it. Had a few hard crashes on my 2019 config PC. Good job activision

    False advertising.
    Cancerous anti-creative terms of use.
    Disappointing delivery.
    Refusing to grant refunds.
    Banning people for helping others to get their refunds.

    This is so Activision that it hurts to see. But Blizzard...
    You were wizards back in the day. You made legendary games. You made such epic experiences.
    Look how far you've fallen under Activision's BS.

    This is the textbook definition of false advertising, and what makes it worse is that its still being false advertised 3 days after released..... 4 hours of reforged cinematics? more like 2 minutes and a stale fight scene AT THE END OF THE GAME. Everything else is the same RTS still camera shots as they were 15+ years ago.     Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
