    TL:DR Game bad, me no wike. The game has problems with Sluggish movements for a CS clone, horrible monetization practices, flat graphics, no actual characters(They are empty husks) or story, no basic casual play, and only 5 maps to play on with the same basic weapons as CS but only like 3 primary of any use and the secondary being more balanced then them, and gameplay that is boiled downTL:DR Game bad, me no wike. The only reason this game seems to have been created was for the soul purpose of creating profit.

    Intro-
    Where to start with this game. I genuinely was trying to like this gameAs an FPS veteran(going on like 11-12 years) and CSGo veteran with over 1000 hours, I hopped onto this game hoping for something to revitalize my dying soul and after playing it for about a week let me say this game failed to do so.

    1_Monatization-
    First, this game caters exclusively to pure comp, and that's it. there is no incentive to continue to play this game casually as you do not earn anything post-match. Games like Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, and dare I say CS, do this by giving post-match rewards at end of each match or when you level up. The cosmetic items are utter trash and cost way too much for a basic skin to be purchased with the decent skins costing more than a brand new game or a game that is fun to play(Upwards of 70-100 dollars for ONE skin). The monetization schemes that are in this game are worse than that of any CoD, Fortnite, or other popular shooter game.

    2-Graphics
    They are bland, unappealing and there isn't much to look at on each map, based on the reviews on this thread, I'm not gonna really beat a dead horse, but the game is not good looking/

    3-Characters
    When I hear "Hero Shooter" I expect a level of depth in the characters. Siege does this more in the bios and lore outside of the game and the same with overwatch. This game attempted to do it as well but, It didn't work out. There isn't any story as to why the characters are doing what they are doing. Overwatch it is because of Talon, Siege it's because of the white mask terrorist and the teams are training, Apex is because its a tournament that the competition is in. Valorant has no story and doesn't follow up on anything. Like they have all these character quotes but in the end, they mean nothing.

    4-No Casual play
    I realize that they released deathmatch and had a spike rush, and that's a good start, however with only like 5 maps that gets old real quick. They don't allow us to customize the game in a way like CS does with us creating whole other games within the CSGO engine or creating. There isn't anything like this and the game is just boring.

    5-Weapons/gameplay
    Weapons are trash and have like 3 good weapons. the others aren't fun as they can not be used in a comp sense. Vandal, phantom, op. That's all the usable weapons in this game. past that any other gun, except for the more expensive SMG that I can't be bothered to remember the name of that doesn't have 3 round burst and the judge if you want to have fun, the other weapons aren't even worth using. Bucky isn't good past like 2 inches from your face, Stinger is meh, the bulldog is trash the dmr is trash and the other sniper isn't worth buying. Also, why is there only like 12 guns in the game. CSGO has 34. Valorant what is your excuse, and if you say free I am going to blow my head off because a fully upgraded skin costs like 300 bucks. Do you know how many TY plush toys I can buy with that money theoretically? But yeah weapons are bad.. The gameplay is repetitive because only 4/5 of the game is playable and boils down to spam flashes/smokes and then push. Oh, you don't have smokes? well, Eat a dick you should have had smokes. Other games allow for other characters to carry other gadgets and tools to have utility and is plentiful throughout the game. Where is this in Valorant? non existant. Then let's not even talk about the server problems the game has where someone will not even be on your screen but your dead to them or they are still sliding around as the piss poor servers attempt to place them at like 4000 ping in Malaysia in you suburban town in Michigan.

    6-Conclusion
    I really tried to like this game. I even gave it more time than I give most games to play in a week, however, it didn't hook me and I can not say for the reasons above, recommend this game to anyone as it feels safe and built from the ground up as a scheme to generate cash. I mean **** they made rank queue for a game that was like 3 weeks old and only had a bunch of LoL players that haven't touched an FPS game in their entire life play it and call it a good game. This game is a complete and utter mess and after a year of it being out, It should have never came out in the state that it is in and feels rushed out the door. I really don't know how big streamers such as Pokimane and others endorse a product like this as it genuinely isn't good.    … Expand

    The worst game that mankind ever made. Stolen mechanics and gameplay from other games. If you want to get one step closer to the suicide, than you should play this game for sure. Thanks Riot games for made the second worst game in human history. The first was league of legends ;)

If you decide to close it, you will have to restart your entire windows operating system for it to load again and obtain the kernel level access it says it needs.

    The movement is like really slow. It feels like you are walking but you are actually auto running by default. Moving through the map feels like you are slowly sliding over the floor because of the lack of animations and weight to the movement, there is no acceleration curve, no momentum to moving in this game.

    To shoot you first need to aim and to be completely dead still, no moving while you shoot. Recoil is still not reduced enough while aiming with the sight and hits are not marked clearly with a hitmarker sound or visual feedback. You just have to guess how much damage you have done and bullets don't register properly most of the time, it doesn't depend on your connection, they sometimes just go through and deal no damage.

    Games are long, graphics look like washed out rubber and animations in game are a joke. The game looks and feels and has the same feedback as a cheap indie game. No responsive, smooth and satisfying animations and sounds for you, not shooting feedback, no sprinting mechanics, no interactive and original map design, plain boring abilities...

    For you to like this you have to love CS so much you are willing to play a downgraded version of it and literally suffer for months while you get used to ignoring and compensating it's flaws and just be good and maybe, just maybe you keep playing it out of addiction from winning. The game is trash on any level deeper than that, you are not missing anything if you don't play this.    … Expand

    This game is just a Joke. Matchmaking is so unbalenced and its contaminated with smurfers. The Graphics are better as CS:GO but the Gameplay and Gamedesign is worst. I think its not worth to buy skins or what else from the store because everyday is the same skins in the Stores.

    Many cheating players have been reported, but the overall game situation has not improved. The official should be more considerate of the players’ voices. Increase the rp system so that players can clearly point out the weird behavior of the cheaters.

    Useless Matchmaking, downloaded for the first time, on my first game got match with LVL 88 players that got negative with me because I didn't know how to play! Do better with your matchmaking! , I was just trying to have fun, end up uninstalling useless game -.-

    Great overall, I just hate how when you have to get off of the game immediately, you get a punishment because you have to go. It doesn't make any sense! I am trying to literally play my game, but if I have to get off, I have to abandon my team. Riot should allow you to leave without any punishment AT ALL. I would have made my score 10/ 5 stars if they just let me leave when I HAVE TO.Great overall, I just hate how when you have to get off of the game immediately, you get a punishment because you have to go.     It's an alright game. I like the art style and the design but there are some major balance issues. I don't think there should be any one shot kill weapons imo.
    But the worst aspect of this game is the pricing on cosmetics. A bundle for just 3 a handful of guns (not all) that is TEMPORARILY available is priced at well over 80$, it's ridiculous.

    Riot games launcher is hands down the worst out of the 20 your forced to download these days. I don't understand why they don't just let me download through Epic games. I can't imagine how much money valorant have lost through the buggy launcher.
    Epic games take half as much as all the other launchers so I don't see the issue if they were to allow me to download there instead.     It's a solid game that mixes hero shooter and tactical shooter, although initially compared to CSGO and Overwatch, Valorant charts its own course and builds its identity and story step by step. The game is not for casual players, but it is for beginners, if you stick with it you can get a good level (if it's the competitive scene you're interested in). It doesn't cost anything to try

The Vandal for example has a "spray pattern" only on the first 7 bullets and then it completely gets randomized, and the ADS somehow makes the guns more inaccurate when spraying, the max inaccuracy on Vandal is 1 on hipfire and 1.02 on ADS, again what the hell Riot was thinking when adding ADS to every gun, just to make it worse than hipfire, also I don't even need to talk about its community, I know, every online game has a toxic playerbase but Riot's games' playerbase is one of a different kind, they're starting an argument, just to bait you to answer and get you banned and Riot doesn't gives their smallest **** about that, some person just started to flame me for no reason and we reported each other and I got banned for a whole month meanwhile they didn't received any ban, how is that even fair? The game gets updated regularly and all it does is just ruin the already bad optimization and add more bugs to the existing ones, and lastly even in 2023, the graphics in this 2020 game looks like it's from a 2004 game, thank you rito indie game company for making this unplayable game, it's been 3 years and you guys are still refusing to add a replay system because you don't want to expose your **** anti cheat and non-existent smurf protection.     Buena sensación al matar, se juega totalmente diferente dependiendo del personaje con el que jueges, no muchos personajes y pocas armas y encima no van a meter más armas (aunque en mi opinión no hace falta meter más).

    This point might have been debunked, I'm honestly not sure, but Riot's Vanguard has full rights to your computer and can do basically anything to it. Vanguard is always running unless you tell it to quit, which will need a restart if you wish to play again. This becomes an issue if a hacker manages to get into Riot's database. Be aware of this before installing incase you have any sensitive files that need to be protected.

    Now, how I feel about the gameplay. I think this game has a lot of issues. While it is fairly balanced in it's characters, much more than a game like Overwatch, the game suffers from poor gunplay, movement, and map design. The gunplay is rather clunky because the spray is pretty random and unpredictable, unlike CS:GO where skill determines how well you handle recoil and spray. If you move just a little while using a rifle or an awp even while crouching, the spray is random. Gun damage makes little to no sense. 3 shots from an AK-47 to the body does not kill but one shot to the head from a revolver is an instant kill. Movement is definitely not as snappy as it should be, and bunnyhopping is too easy.

    The map design is quite bad. There are so many angles and random spots that someone can be or hold. So simple but so problematic. This way, you can play in a "dumb" manner and be rewarded for this. I feel that CS:GO is better in map design by a lot, at least with maps like Inferno and Mirage.

    I would also like to make a point about abilities. Mostly flashbangs. Many of the flashbang abilities in this game are overpowered. You have little to no time to react, and they can be spammed. Sometimes an ultimate from Brimstone or Viper can easily win the match with little to no risk or skill required.

    I will say I enjoy this game with friends, otherwise I would not play it at all. I'm not sure how many hours I have as Riot doesn't include that as a feature as far as I know, but I played most in the beta and this review is a product of how I feel now.

    I hope that my review is in some ways helpful. This game is not bad but it is not good. It does not accomplish what it is trying to be and therefore gets a 6 from me.    … Expand

    Riot a creado un gran juego, buen graficos, una jugabilidad tactico-agresivo y una variedad de personajes muy utiles. Eso es lo bueno, ahora voy a lo malo. El juego tiene problemas con el input lag, me compre otro teclado porque pense que mi teclado estaba roto pero el juego tiene problemas con este tema, a veces se crashea y aveces cuando disparas a un enemigo y lo tienes en la mira comoRiot a creado un gran juego, buen graficos, una jugabilidad tactico-agresivo y una variedad de personajes muy utiles.     bloat Vanguard software made it impossible to play, so I'm not going to get addicted to it and spend a bunch of money on Valorant. I got to experience absolutely none of the game because my computer that runs every game on Steam and runs nicer-looking games than Valorant (Like the Witcher 2) can't open this garbage.    … Expand

    Pros: Private matches, unrated matches, and ranked matches all have a 128 tick-rate. This is a huge step up coming from csgo.     Private matches, unrated matches, and ranked matches all have a 128 tick-rate. This is a huge step up coming from csgo. This allows hit registration to feel much more smooth and consistent. There are many things in this game that are absolutely frustrating, but hit registration for the most part is definitely not a problem in this game.

    Although vanguard is a heavily intrusive anti-cheat software, it is highly effective in keeping cheaters out of games. CSGO's VAC anti-cheat software is largely ineffective in comparison. I have only ran into one cheater in the entirety of my time playing this game. More FPS games in general need an effective, solid anti-cheat software. The intrusiveness of a kernel-level anti-cheat may detract a lot of players from even downloading this game, however.

    The game is decently optimized and easy to run. Minimum requirements for this game are very low compared to other FPS titles out right now. Frame drops are very rare in my experience and the game runs smoothly.

    Cons:

    The agent abilities are gimmicky at best and absolutely frustrating at worst. Although there are agents with actual skill based abilities such as Raze's blast packs and proper utilization of Jett's dash, most of the abilities feel extremely frustrating to play against and completely ruin the integrity of a competitive tactical shooter.

    Sova's recon arrow, Sage's entire kit, and Killjoy's entire kit are the best examples of this. Who the hell thought wall hacks, automated sentry turrets, and a literal full health revive were a good idea in a competitive tactical shooter? All they do is reduce the skill gap of the game. Positioning and individual skill no longer have as big of an impact due to these abilities.

    Valorant's maps are large with too many angles on each bombsite. This game design decision also reduces the skill gap of the game by forcing players to rely heavily on agent abilities to clear the map rather than actual fundamentals of FPS gameplay. Its like the developers tried way too hard to re-invent the wheel and ended up making a frustrating, gimmicky gameplay experience.

    The gunplay of Valorant is much easier than csgo with less mechanics to learn. Running and gunning is highly prevalent in this game, even with the meta assault rifles such as the phantom and the vandal. Hitting headshots is way too easy in this game and counter-strafing is heavily nerfed in an attempt to appeal to as many players as possible. Appealing to a wider audience of players isn't always a bad thing, but interfering with the fundamentals of FPS games just to gain a larger audience completely ruins the gameplay experience for a lot of FPS players. Spray patterns have been replaced with a bloom mechanic, adding much more randomness to gunfights.

    Overall, this game is exactly as I expected. A boring, generic tactical shooter with unoriginal mechanics and bland, frustrating, unsatisfying gameplay.    … Expand

    In its current state, this game is plagued with horrendous network and server issues that make it literally unplayable. Absolutely shocking for a game that's been out for 2 years. The base game its self and its mechanics seem fine enough, but when you're unable to even progress past the tutorial because of how garbage the servers are, it makes you wonder why this isn't even still on the market

    Movement: Linear movement. Whenever you move it doesn't have the feeling of realistic movement. It's way too linear as if moving on a segway or something similar to that.     Weapons: The weapons aren't always accurate. Yes there are spray patterns, but mostly the gun just overemphesises the pattern way too much.

    Gameplay: Gameplay wise it's really important for you to understand how important composition is. It relies way too much on the composition and not alot on how you play. There are counters to specific agents but... it just doesn't feel equal.

    Artstyle and landscape: The art looks good but ingame it just feels way too stale. It's like New-York. It may look interesting from the outside but it just feels like a plastic landscape.

    Personal feeling: It just doesn't sit. Every game feels empty with no real feeling of completion. I may sit as the topfragger on the scoreboard, but at the end I just dont feel joy.

    Things to add:
    1) Playermodel fov or just fov in general, cause why does the weapon have to sit so close to the camera, it blocks most of the view.
    2) More flexible movement. When looking at everyone except Raze's, Jett's and Neon's frag movies, they dont look as impressive since it's basically just aim clips rather than aim and movement.

They say smurfs are the least of the problems then how is that possible if your system suggests to find always an alternative email instead of just resetting a current user's email!!
    Now there is not a single game that you can find without toxic behavior or even taunting, let's make this clear. But in Valo? you will find a different level of toxic behavior. You can get bullied and taunted even threatened and let's say you are the type who stands his ground, be prepared for a ban regardless of who's fault is it, or who even started the manipulation. Your best choice, is to always mute the opponent's text, and cross your fingers that the MRR matches you with good ppl, otherwise your guaranteed for a screw up from both sides coz the amount of players who wants to de-rank, is crazy.
    Yes they do upgrade and update from time to time, with bundles and season acts and so on, but that won't cover the blemishes that you are going to face in this game. Your only choice is to find a group of ppl whom you can trust and know that you can level together, because without them, you will be stuck with wherever they choose for you, and still that won't mean easy peasy, you have a good team then voila I'm in the upper league with the immortals, lol hell no. You still have a long journey, coz some ppl started playing this game since it came out, and are now Bronze 1 level in the new Season.
    If you never played or heard of this game, its an alternative to CS:GO but with abilities instead of flash bombs, smoke grenades and fire bombs. The bomb is the Spike in Valorant.    … Expand

Another talking point for Valorant would be the microtransactions. Now given that the game IS free to play, I can't justifiably flame them on including microtransactions, they have to make a profit after all. What I CAN flame them on is the egregious price of these microtransactions. $30 for a knife, $20 for a sniper rifle, $90 to almost $300 on SKIN PACKS!!! Even though Valorant feature some of the higher quality and detailed skins for a fps, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! The only positives I can find in this game is that (again) it is free to play and it doesn't require a beefy computer to run. All in all, Valorant lacks the charm of Overwatch or the shooting of Rainbow 6 Siege to make itself worth player's time while simultaneously shoving disgustingly overpriced skins in the player's face as a final f*** you to players.

The game queues you up with some kind of degenerates while the opponents have like 2 to 3 pros in their roster i swear the matchmaking system is more **** than my mother! The competitive system is completely trash... makes you win 20 elo per good game and makes you lose 50 per good game its not even a thing to grind if u are in the lowerValorant is a completely bad game in all its colors!     Valorant is a great game in opinion ,the reason why is because like 90% of all shooter games are blanned,boring and **** they have no character or personality and I think Valorant done this well with all character have some personality relasonship and more.

    The weapon balancing is terrible, nothing can beat the vandal. Also, other weapons than the Vandal are getting worse, which benefits the Vandal even more. In addition, more bugs are added with each update. Play it yourself and you can see what I mean. Almost every time the Vandal headshots, I don't know if it could be the hitbox or that the bullets are more forced to the head but it is annoying.

    Can you find me the exact competitiveness of this game? Another FPS fan service for kawaii anime colsplayers, uwu, *O*. Graphics and game modes look like a beta game with no finished content. The thing that impresses me is that kids from the 90s who grew up with Unreal and Quake are also playing.... God save us and forgive us from this

The guns get very boring, the maps are just as boring, the utility is also just as boring. It may not have a replay viewer, but for the most part I have not encountered a single cheater in my games which is very nice. The graphics also look pretty good though.     You can turn off audio chat, you can turn off regular chat, even tags. But don't worry, allies will still be able to throw blinds, barriers, and deal damage to you, because it's all very fun * and not at all toxic

    I have made it to level 100 finally, and after all this time, don't waste your time, I can't stop playing the game, I'm to far gone, I can count on one hand how many times I've sat back after a valorant game and said "wow that was a lot of fun, I want to play again."     Sometimes it won't even let me pick a agent to use then it gives me a penalty and it also closes the game sometimes after a match and won't give me my xp.

    The game balance is really really SUCKS the movement speed were tooooo damnnn slowww the characters ability is broken and the map design was soooo baddddddddd and the spray control is not as good as cs and yes the worst gun in this game is a F###### operator why did they nerf it though and this is my "RANT" about this game 3/10 for me riot pls take care of ur damn game

    Great for casual gameplay, however it is defeated by CS:GO in terms of gun play and tacticality, the skill ceiling is simply much higher in counter-strike. This game also has quite a bit of a learning curve, with so many agents and abilities to get a hang of. The anti cheat works well.

    Valorant has a high-quality and clean release without any problems. The game will definitely please fans of the competitive FPS genre. The eSports potential of the shooter has only become established over time, and the first tournaments are already planned. However, a high entry threshold requires serious skill training. But this only makes the game more interesting.

    Overall, Valorant is a great game to play if you're a fan of first-person shooter strategy games. But it is also something that someone without experience with games like CS:GO can enjoy and pick up quickly. The Agents are, for the most part, balanced, and the planned addition of more should keep the game fresh. The overall style doesn't really land and the sound design needs to be fixed.
