Oct 6, 2015As a lifelong gamer, I have experienced gaming highs and lows. I have played games and made me jump out of my chair and exclaim "AWESOME" and games that made me weep like a child. Games have become an important part of who I am and I can say without reservation that Undertale is a game like no other.

Oct 6, 2015I'm honestly against a lot of indie games nowadays. Mostly because they're all the same thing. 8 or 16-bit graphics, and some sort of RPG where you're stuck somewhere. But god damn is Undertale isn't one of the best games I've ever played in my life.

Oct 6, 2015A fantastic deconstruction of traditional JRPG tropes. I absolutely adore this game. Great twists and turns, fun non-standard "combat" mechanics, and some very meaningful choices and easter eggs.

Oct 5, 2015WELL. This is different. Finally an indie game gets to compete with AAA titles... maybe for GOTY? All hopes for that ^.^ all though it should be GOTY it probably wont be, because who knows, Fallout 4 could be the best game ever made.

Oct 5, 2015When trying to describe Undertale, the word "lovely" comes to mind a lot. If you fancy retro RPGs and all things lovely, you'll love this game. If playing something that can be described as lovely sounds absolutely horrid to you (so in other words if you're a total killjoy in life), you'll probably not enjoy this game so much.
...Just play it already, will you? -

Oct 5, 2015This game is the best I've seen . Characters , the story , the gameplay ... all very good . This game proves that graphics don't should be great for a good game .

Oct 5, 2015Undertale was a wild emotional trip from start to finish. While to some the graphics might be too simple and played out, they do a perfect job of representing the world as well as being charming and reminiscent of those from Earthbound, as well as the music, which sets the tone perfectly for each scene.

Oct 5, 2015An amazing game, with great puzzles, brilliant story and beautiful soundtrack, this game is bound to be one of the top games this year. The only reason it didn't get 10/10 was just the old-school graphics, but its completely forgivable once you delve deep into it.

Oct 5, 2015How is tired when indie projects put pressure on nostalgia, these pixel games are just annoying! where progress? already in 2015, and people are still happy indie games are bored after 2 days. I think the game is not worth 97 points, because "Half Life2" really deserves greater estimation, as it has brought a huge breakthrough in the gaming industry.

Oct 4, 2015Great game made by a great writer. I honestly could never have believed that a songwriter for Homestuck could have come this far.
The only thing I can say is this: Play this game. It's worth the money, and all the low user-scores are practically bots trying to get MSGV above this gem. Don't take it from me, though. Play it, and judge for yourself. -
Oct 4, 2015Undertale takes everything wrong with traditional JRPGs (bloating, grinding, mind numbing combat that relies heavily on pressing the same button over and over until special enemies or bosses come around) and turns them on their heads. The game is relatively short, but in this short amount of time, every character is fleshed out making every little decision you make that much more important.

Oct 3, 2015Mediocrity that makes blatant use of nostalgic love for much better games. Sold entirely on the word of hipsters that want to be in on the ground floor of the newest hit. Do not buy or play this game. Don't even play it even if you didn't pay for it. Leave the steaming turd on the sidewalk where it belongs.

Jan 16, 2017Undertale is absolutely unique. It's a RPG masterpiece full of weird characters and a moving message.

Mar 4, 2016With multiple endings based on how you choose to play out your run, set pieces that can play out very differently based on your actions and so many incredible moments that we’d love to share but daren’t do so for risk of spoiling anything, Undertale is easily one of the indie standouts of last year.

Feb 23, 2016Through a combination of often relaxed but sometimes tense gameplay, a dreamy atmosphere, and genuine characters that feel like they’re actually alive and all living together in this isolated society of longing, Undertale transcends its medium and becomes a genuinely moving experience I would recommend to anyone who is open to a sometimes sorrowful, sometimes hilarious, always bizarre and engaging emotional journey.
