    Amazing characters, amazing story, and awesome OST. Undertale is a complete package for me. This game doesn't depend on a high marketing budget, nor on violence or complex gameplay to be on the top. This aspect alone makes it a unique game by itself. Undertale is also unique by its fourth-wall-breaking and missing with the player in a way that is uncommonly done and rarely done right. SomeAmazing characters, amazing story, and awesome OST. Undertale is a complete package for me. This game doesn't depend on a high marketing budget, nor on violence or complex gameplay to be on the top. This aspect alone makes it a unique game by itself. Undertale is also unique by its fourth-wall-breaking and missing with the player in a way that is uncommonly done and rarely done right. Some people might not like the game because of its fanbase (actually, it's only a small portion of it that is being the loudest) but I don't get them I won't dislike a food because of people who eat it, I eat for myself after all. Some other people would argue about the graphics or the way it looks, I also don't get them... after all, Undertale's beauty is all about its simplicity. People must remember that the game was *mostly* created by Toby Fox alone, so give him some credit for the work he has done, competing with triple "A" games is not that easy on your own, you know...
    Anyway...

    Great addictive fun, and a timely palette cleanser amongst all the other battle royales. Mediatonic have a slam dunk on their hands, now the question is can they keep it fresh and interesting moving into the future.

    A beautiful game considering it’s bit style, probably my favourite video game score of all time, each area has so many unique elements and are all equally interesting, and a good story with many great and memorable characters (although papyrus and especially alphys got on my nerves at times).     My favorite game of all time. Amazing soundtrack, solid gameplay and a masterpiece of a story, the characters all feel real and are extremely compelling, the multiple endings give a new perspective on the world, the lore is the cherry on top. Seriously, play this game.

    Where do i even start? This is simply a modern masterpiece. It has a phenomenal story, interesting and memorable characters, beautiful pixel art graphics and fun gameplay mechanics. It has a special emotional value to me and i would definitively recommend this game to everyone.

    Undertale is a story, quite a unique one at that. However, it's also one of these games that you just HAVE to play to its end, otherwise you're just not going to get "it". "It" being the whole vision behind this game, the whole essence of it. Some people may mistakenly assume this game is a weird spin on the classic RPG: where you kill mobs in order to get stats in order to kill strongerUndertale is a story, quite a unique one at that. However, it's also one of these games that you just HAVE to play to its end, otherwise you're just not going to get "it". "It" being the whole vision behind this game, the whole essence of it. Some people may mistakenly assume this game is a weird spin on the classic RPG: where you kill mobs in order to get stats in order to kill stronger mobs until you can kick the BBG's butt, and think Undertale simply flips the script around "just because". This isn't the case: the game is about realizing that making friends is much easier than one could think, and needless violence never leads to good things. One can make friends and tie bonds in the most unexpected way, simply through an act of kindness or through a smile and pat on the back, it's not just "subverting expectations", or "relying on guilt". Undertale is an entire story, that should be savoured and enjoyed, and is simply not "overrated" or "overhyped". You MUST get to the end, and possibly play through the True Pacifist to experience some of the most clever and touching moments in the game, together with the best tracks in the game. Is it cliché at times? Sure. Some jokes are just straight up corny and sometimes the humor is a bit out there, but it's absolutely worth it. This was easily the most discussed and influential game of the last decade, and it just deserves it all. This game is an act of love from Toby Fox, and if there are some games I absolutely think one MUST play at least once in their lives, Undertale is one of them.… Expand

    This game isn't even a game to me. It utilizes the medium so well that it feels more like a life experience more than pixels on the screen. The friendships you'll make and the lessons you'll learn last even after playing. The puzzles and bullet-hell aspects are used as more of narrative objects than objects to slow you down, and I understand why people may dislike this but I personally LOVED it. Toby Fox continues to use these commonly found aspects of video games and twist them on their heads- to tell a captivating story that will leave players in tears. The characters are amazing and lovable; going through the pacifist route of the game it feels like you're actually growing with them- like you, the player, is receiving character development as well as the characters. The art and visual aspects are simple for the most part: it's in a nostalgic 8-bit kind of style; but in my opinion this ironically adds so much life into the game. The simple style breathes life into the characters and environments akin to the old RPGs like the Mother series. Of course, there's some parts which have amazing art and animation that completely sneak up on you, especially in the key moments and fights, that add to the sincerity of these events. Temmie Chang does a brilliant job in conveying the game's emotion and character through the art and animation. My favorite part of this experience has to be the music because oh my freaking gosh THE MUSIC. It doesn't take any sort of musical genius to know that the soundtrack is the main storytelling device of this game. It's complexity and use of leitmotifs give the game so much character through giving each character their own themes, for giving crucial moments of the game heart-wrenching music that will leave an impression on your mind after playing. The music is so genius that even the most simple background tracks, or even the lack of music at all, fascinatingly weaves the story as well, which is something not a lot of games can accomplish. In conclusion: please for the love of God, buy this game. This game changed the way I look at life and the people in my life, while also helping me discover my passion of video game creation. I'm not going to try to influence the exact route you take, but please, choose the right one.    … Expand

The bullet-hell-shooter type combat system is decent, the puzzles are okayish, wandering around the world is sometimes a little dull. The greatest things in this game are the unpredictable story and that choices matter. Just play it through and you'llThe retro vibes of this 2D adventure/RPG is really good especially the music. The seamless blend of multiple themes into single songs, the sweeping synths and hilarious oddities, Toby Fox has absolutely nailed the world-building music that still tears across the internet to this day. These characters immediately grab your attention never let go. The story is well-crafted, introspective, and one of the most memorable I have ever played. The combat is fun and challenging, and while it’s not my favorite, it gets the job done.

    What I can’t talk about here is what you need to experience for yourself, which is basically everything else. A must-play gem.

    The story is great, the characters have really marked personalities and the music...

    Genial, apenas. Undertale possui uma história boa, lutas difíceis e emocionantes, uma das melhores trilhas sonoras da história dos videogames, e pra completar, finais que variam com a escolha do jogador que são muito bem pensados. Apesar dos gráficos fracos e duração curta, Undertale é com certeza uma ótima experiência.

    Undertale is beautiful. Everything from it's story and character writing to it's soundtrack is absolutely incredible. There is no game I recommend more then Undertale.

    This is my favorite game of all time, The fun and lovable characters and amazing story. its short enough to not overstay its welcome and long enough for you to get attached. these factors really make it my favorite game of all time.

    You know what. After 6 years of this being my favourite game, i will finally write a review. It's perfect, it's emotinal, it's funny, it made me cry, it made me laugh, it's hard tto beat, it has lore and it has secrets.

    This game changed my life with its comunity and i hope it can change yours too. I will probally look back at this one day and laugh at myself but this is a perfect    You know what. After 6 years of this being my favourite game, i will finally write a review.     Honestly, this is one of my favorite games off all time. This game has done everything perfectly for its purpose. The story is heartwarming, the characters are very well written and since it has a lot of endings, you can replay it and still have a great time!

    It was a very good game with good humor. This game is made with love.

    Undertale is absolutely mind boggling if you can find some way to experience the game completely blind. I personally did not get the luxury of that, however even I have found some enjoyment in this game despite partially knowing what I was getting into. Despite all of the memes, it is genuinely good and cheap, if you're a gamer and haven't played this, you're doing something wrong.Undertale is absolutely mind boggling if you can find some way to experience the game completely blind.     Despite being a single player game, the difficulty is in the right place for most people to get into it and not feel frustrated but also not easy to the point you lose interest. Even if you are a hardcore gamer, you will still have to focus on avoiding attacks.

    The story is completely unique and very little can even compare to it's design. I will not spoil how it works, but almost everyone can find some sort of meaning to Undertale's story.    … Expand

    I rarely vote 10/10 . This game actually express my thought about VIOLENCE . it is not a good idea to kill and rob living-being . and it is not good to enter someone's house steel theirs Safe Box .
    Another great thing is that the game allow you to choice what to do , that is a big deal . many game designers have no idea what this mean .     This game is phenomenal, I am so fond of this game. It has changed my life. Its soundtrack is amazing, Its story is amazing, its gameplay is amazing, and it has multiple endings! If you haven't played this game you definitely should.

    It's a really great game from my experience, the writing is really good, the character designs are well thought out, and the best detail is the routes. I have not seen a game this great in my life, you need see the story for yourself and not look at spoilers if you want the best experience.

    Everything about this game, wow. I've played this game in full three times and got all the endings, so I won't be going back for a long time. Not that it matters, as I'm stuck on a black screen and literally can't do anything...

    With multiple endings based on how you choose to play out your run, set pieces that can play out very differently based on your actions and so many incredible moments that we’d love to share but daren’t do so for risk of spoiling anything, Undertale is easily one of the indie standouts of last year.

    Through a combination of often relaxed but sometimes tense gameplay, a dreamy atmosphere, and genuine characters that feel like they’re actually alive and all living together in this isolated society of longing, Undertale transcends its medium and becomes a genuinely moving experience I would recommend to anyone who is open to a sometimes sorrowful, sometimes hilarious, always bizarre and engaging emotional journey.
