With the most sophisticated character development system in existence today and many features to make your characters unique, you have a sure winner here.

A decent boost to the already feature-packed gameworld. [June 2003, p.86]
  3. Introduces significant gameplay changes and breathes new life into Ultima Online. Unfortunately, these changes have also reintroduced problems that had previously been addressed.
  4. The animation is average and the special effects are nice, but this game really does lack the eye candy sported by its competitors.

But if you've never played "Ultima Online," this expansion pack won't give you much of a reason to give it a go. You're better off saving your hard-earned gold on an MMORPG that doesn't look and play like it was created in the century it's set in.
  6. Two new character builds, customized housing, and a new area seem like a big enough change to warrant new players, but they are executed in such a poor manner that this expansion will likely scare off more players than it could possibly draw in.

Between destroying the core Ultima feel and the addition of needless elements, in addition to removing the heart of the game, it also caused a rift in the community that can never be healed - Publish 16 and its community-dividing game changes.
