    I realize the game had problems when it was released. I was lucky enough to have registered my purchase, and got the updated cd mailed to meI realize the game had problems when it was released. I was lucky enough to have registered my purchase, and got the updated cd mailed to me just as I was going to remake my character anyway, so it worked out for me.

    It was rather revolutionary for the time, probably too much so. It's open world with a unique spellcasting system, many weapons and special attacks, and alchemy. I got countless hours of fun out of it.    … Expand

    Better than Diablo 3, that's for sure! I was totally disappointed in this game when it was released. Ultima is the greatest franchise inBetter than Diablo 3, that's for sure! Ultima is the greatest franchise in CRPG history, and all 20 years of it's successes came tumbling down with this horrible and insulting title. If given the time it deserved, there is not a single doubt that Richard Garriot and his team would have made a classic. Since it's release, i've black listed Electronic Arts and never purchased or supported any of their video games. In any case, I truly hope that the day comes when an ex-Origin employ will leak the true Ultima 9 Bob White version of the game to the public and re-establish the greatness that is known as ULITMA.… Expand
