It is hands down Game Of The Year! The game offers great story, though it has many repetitive quests. The combat feels great and has a lot of viariety, steel and silver swords, fast and strong attacks, crossbow, bombs, spells, amnd potions. The loot is great and that is the resean that you will want to play the game after the main story.

This game is absolutely amazing. This is why:
-The graphics are amazing (if your graphics card can handle it).
-The game has a lot of content (you can easily play this game 120 hours). -The story is really good. In the end everything comes together really good. -The combat system has really improved a lot since the witcher 2. It now is really good now. -There haven't been much bugs

-The combat system has really improved a lot since the witcher 2. It now is really good now.
-There haven't been much bugs (if at all) and everything was updated fast

    Now the cons:
-The control is a little odd with keyboard and mouse (can easily be fixed by connecting a controller to the PC).
-The cut-scenes are rendered real time and are uglier than the game itself (I don't know why).
-The mouth doesn't move perfectly with the speech. Facial expressions are sometimes a little off.

This is definitely the best game of 2015 so far (but fallout 4 hasn't come out yet so that can still change).

No game deserves a 10 because no game is perfect. But Witcher 3 deserves a 10. I only played an hour of The Witcher, but Witcher 2 was one of my favorite games. The only things that hinder the game are the inevitable glitches of an open world game, and minor issues. Interacting with the environment objects when trying to loot, Roach not wanting to go over bridges, and difficulty looting because your not in the exact right spot. The quest have not devolved into "Collect 5 of these" like Inquisiton somewhat did. Many complained about Inquisiton that the opening area was large, and all subsequent areas varied from slightly smaller to much smaller. Witcher 3 does the opposite. The opening area is relatively small. My first thought was, " Oh **** Im going to blow through this in a week if it's this small. Then as soon as I finished the starting area I realized how immense the world was, and how filled it was with things to do. Every quest has character and importance to the local populace. I can go on for hours. Or at least an hour or two. The simplest way to put it is that this is the greatest Role Playing Game created to date. A must play for anyone who enjoys RPG's. CDProjekt accomplished what they set out to do. Now they just have to clean up the bugs, create some good DLC, and hopefully begin working on their next masterpiece. Expand

The Witcher 3 is exquisite, like looking at a beautiful woman (which there are a few of in the game) you cannot take your eyes off it. The story is captivating and memorable, it invokes feelings that I feel no other game can and takes you on a emotional roller-coaster. The characters are very relatable from the witty remarks of Dandelion to the sweetness of Triss to the fire of Yennifer you go through the game and develop relationships with the characters so that you can relate to them in more ways than one. It also does something that many games fear to tread... it is truthful to the world, with aspects of racism and prosecution, to abuse and sexism its all there but the good thing is that it does it tastefully and in ways that are subtle and dont offend the player.

I love this game to bits and recommend this any gamer who is looking to a rich and tasteful experience that I feel has been a once in a lifetime experience.

Great game, you play it like you read a good book. The picture is beautiful, and along with the soundtrack it creates unique atmosphere and immersion.
There were some initial probles with character controlling, and e.g. lack of personal chest to store loot in, but they were (at least partially) fixed in the patches.
    Really good, solid game.

Basically what any modern day RPG should aspire to be, and improve upon. Story, characters, lore, game world, graphics, side questing, gameplay, audio, overall production: you name it, Witcher 3 has it all.

Yes, some aspects of the game aren't the absolute best in the gaming world (combat for example is still far from being as good as Souls game, but is much improved over previous entries in the series and doesn't impair the player in any way; difficulty gets much lower the more you progress; once you have access to the Witcher gear looting loses some meaning) but the overall package is mind-bogglingly good.

There's plenty of much better reviews about the game, so I'll just highlight 2 things that impressed me the most:

    1) Side quests. It's just absurd how despite many of them starting in about the same fashion (Geralt helping people out), every single one of them is so good it makes you wonder why former RPGs couldn't present such good content outside of their main quest. Pretty much every side quest manages to tell a different story, covering different themes in a meaningful and thought provoking way, and presenting different situations, while never, EVER being about just fetch-questing or other MMO-ish/hollow activities (there are some activities of that nature, 'treasure hunts', but you'll just skip those, or embark in them if you need some cash; it's for those who love looting and exploring, think of TES games).

    2) Game world. This is easily the biggest and most credible world created in a video game. NPCs have their own schedule, lives, and activities. They react to the environment, they talk with each other; other games have done that, but it never felt to me like they're actually part of the world. The map is absolutely huge, but is so rich in details I found myself stopping in my tracks and looking around like every 10 minutes, in the less relevant places . And my goodness, Novigrad is insane, it's like a real goddamn city, bustling with any sort of activity.

Overall, doesn't matter what kind of RPG you're fond of (Bethesda's sandboxy approach, Bioware's focus on characters etc), Witcher 3 is an RPG for the ages, something you must play if you're a fan of the genre.

I can't express how much I love this game. It succeeds in many of the ways that other RPG's fail by giving the player meaningful choices and an expansive world in which to tell a story. Unlike traditional good-neutral-bad response systems it creates dynamic paths you can create that shape the story and change major plot-points in meaningful ways.

Aside from being given almost total control of the path you choose, it also has a great combat system. At lower difficulties it's easy to mash a button to win, but if you truly desire a challenge turn that difficulty up. It forces you to change your strategies for enemies and fully utilize your skill system and timings for attacks.

And lastly, it looks amazing. Granted, PC's have a ton more horsepower than most consoles but when those settings are turned up the game blows you away. I feel like I did playing Crysis at Ultra settings 7 years ago, so utterly blown away by how real certain textures look when compared to other AAA titles like Dragon Age: Inquisition. Layered clothing looks real, swords look like swords. Nothing blown out of proportion and made to be as accurate as possible within the bounds of the supposed time-frame the world is set in.

I encourage anyone who likes RPG's to give this game a shot. It sure makes every other RPG I've played look bad.

The map is 30 times bigger than in the previous part. Crafting and Alchemy are more important, we also can upgrade swords, armors and signs. These sandbox gives many, many opportunities. Fight feeling is pleasant. Sometimes we are blocking on a small obstacle but in comparison to other games it is not very annoying.

We also can choose the path of the main character. Character (mainly Geralt's) and monsters doing really great feeling, details are amazing.
