Apr 26, 2015What a great game, until paid mods completely ruined it. What were you all thinking? This game is a great example of an excellent game ruined by greed.
-
Apr 26, 2015Fantasic game, what with all the free mods that you can get. It would be a crappy game if, I don't know, you had to pay $2.99 for each of the 50 mods you want to use.
-
Apr 26, 2015Paying for mods.
fuggin character limit REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE -

Apr 26, 2015I sure do love all this third party DLC! Yessiree, paid mods was a FANTASTIC IDEA! If you want to play this game I'd recommend you get it from Kickass.to or something. Don't give Bethesda or Valve any money, the retards don't deserve it.

Apr 26, 2015Paid mods...without mods this game just does not hold up. It is not where near as good as oblivion or morrowind. Thanks valve...for screwing this up.,

Apr 26, 2015Valve and Bethesda say they are supporting modders on steam by allowing people to put a price on mods when actually they're leeching off them. mods on nexus are being taken down and put on steam severely reducing the modding community. 0/10

Apr 26, 2015Paid mod is the really bad idea. this completely destroy free mod community. i think donation button for supporting modder is a good method. Sorry for my English.

Apr 27, 2015Hiding user created content behind a pay-wall is absolutely disgusting behavior. Bethesda is a greedy company that wants to suck the life force out of the vibrant modding community. Do not buy this game, even if it's free.
-
Apr 27, 2015
-
Apr 26, 2015A middlingly good RPG which became something incredible with the help of its strong modding community - as Oblivion and Morrowind did before it - now crippled by Bethesda & Valve's attempt to monetise that community. A textbook example of how to turn the whole market against your series and your company.

Apr 26, 2015I like this game a lot, but paid only mods are going to divide the modding community and a damage can already been seen.
I will never support this kind of practice, donations would be better option. -
Apr 26, 2015Disgusting by Valve and Bethseda to bring in the paid mods scheme. Shame on you. Will no longer support such greedy tactics. Horse Armor ruined gaming with the introduction of DLCs (also by Bethseda), now this... this will end modding and bring in much darker times for gaming. I am sadden for what's now ahead for future generations of gamers.
-
Apr 26, 2015Paid mods aren't the way to go, Valve and Bethesda. You should've known better. I will never buy a mod and support them. Way to kill your game. ggwp
-
Apr 26, 2015Great game with mods. Cannot be recommended under paid mod model. Vanilla game is just not up to it and not Bethesda wants you to pay extra to finish their work. Don't support this model.

Apr 26, 2015A game that was kept alive by the modding community now spits in their face while making a profit on it,
Don't be a slave stand up for your hobby do what is right. -
Apr 26, 2015Bethesda has been showing that they don't care for years now, they release broken buggy messes then rely on modders to fix it for them, problem is, now that those modders can now charge up to $100 (should they wish) for these fixes you might as well not even worry about buying the game until this policy is reversed.
-
Apr 26, 2015This game's developer, Bethesda, in conjunction with Valve, has begun to enforce a paid mods system. This is reprehensible. The game was barely worth playing without mods, and to force them behind a paywall is mind-bogglingly greedy.

Apr 26, 2015I won't support pay mods , your game last this long because of free mods but now you want to earn some money from it. I could support if modder get decent cut from the sale but 25% you give for modder is screaming Greedy from your end.
-
Apr 26, 2015Paid mods are unacceptable. I hope they choke on their failed TES. Its not about the 75%. its about profiting from something you have done no work on.
-
Apr 26, 2015Great game, ruined by greed with micro-transactions. A horrible, horrible ending of the open and lovely community of modders. PC gaming would never be what it is today without mods, and Bethesda ruins this in a single day.

Apr 26, 2015I just created an account to say that this game now sucks with this greedy mod paywall.
Now you can pay 2€ for a mod that adds a **** sword, while the game itself could be bought for 5€.
Avoid it at all cost. -
Apr 26, 2015They collaborate to create paid mods. so no this deserve nothing more than 0 .
mods was the things that make me buy this game. same for friends.
now you have to pay for mods ... mods that use other mods without paying sometyhing. limit illegal .
don't support paid mods.
they can add a donation button with % share between creator, valve and devs . .. it w -
Apr 27, 2015Game was OK at best vanilla, but full of bugs. The only way to fix bugs and make the game enjoyable was to add mods, which now the developer feels we should pay for, To fix their shortcomings, Its a joke really.
-
Apr 27, 2015Paid mods with only 25% of the money going to the creator?
As a bonus most of the mods aren't even worth the cost anyway.
Needs to be replaced with an entirely option donate button not this promised 'pay what you want' nonsense. -
Apr 27, 2015hiding mods behind paywall is disgraceful. Its a scam and they all need to feel internet hate machine back in action. If you want to reward modders donate. no shekels for bethesda
-
Apr 27, 2015Paid mods. Terrible. There's not a consumerbase on earth who should have to put up with this kind of blatant price-gouging anti-consumer practices. Ever.
-
Apr 27, 2015This game without mods - 4/10
This game with mods - 10/10
This game with paid mods - 0/10
Congratulations for destroying the biggest modding community in the world in one day, Valve. -
Apr 27, 2015This game would have been long forgotten if it weren't for the faithful modding community.
Creating paid mods not only destroys the spirit of the community, but also destroys the one truly good reason to play this game.
This blatantly shameless money grab has not gone unnoticed and unfortunately, causes me to give a game with great potential a pass. -
Apr 26, 2015
-
Apr 26, 2015A once loved game that now includes paid modding, encourages modders to steal from one another and threats consumers like cash cows.
All that so Bethesda and Valve can take their 75% cut of the pie.
Do not support this anti-consumer *** -
Apr 26, 2015After **** up The Elder Scrolls Online Bethesda had the incredible awesome idea to introduce paid mods for skyrim , not only that but they and steam take 75% of the profits.
-
Apr 27, 2015Free the mods. **** you. RIP modding. I will avoid Valve and Bethesda in the future and i will never spend any money on a mod. Greedy ****s. Cant spell ValvEA without EA

Apr 27, 2015Paid mods are bad for consumers for games for mod comunity. Until retracted bad rewiev will stay intact. Dont bow down to this new form of DLC. Have some decency
-
Apr 27, 2015Skyrim - 0/10
Gabe - 0/10
Bethesda/Zenimax - 0/10
I can see what they were trying but blimey, could they have got it any more wrong?
This all needs to die. -
Apr 27, 2015Game was mediocre in every aspect and its only saving grace was modding. Now with Valve being greedy merchants, there's nothing redeeming qualities to this game. It's even worse on console as well solely because of the fact that they're limited machines made to be worse than PCs.
-
Apr 27, 2015WIthout mods this game is boring, bugged and blurred. That's why you need at very least 50+ mods to even start enjoying this game - and now you need to pay for mods.
-
Apr 27, 20157/10 for the game. It's about as an RPG it's about as deep as a puddle of muddy water, but with mods?
10/10 for the game with mods. Skyrim is a testament to how much the modding community can improve a game. Of course having to pay for mods means this is a 0/10. Enough is enough. -
Apr 27, 2015This game is pretty good without mods. It still holds up as a solid 6/10. With the right mods, it's right up to a 9.8/10. Basically perfect. With paid mods, I'd give it a 4/10 just for the money grabbing on the part of Valve and Bethesda.
-
Apr 27, 2015Mods brought a vast game to life. Between the split of the money, and the sudden massive split in the community, this was one of the worst ideas I've seen executed.

Apr 27, 2015No to the paid mod, f**** you stEAm and Bugthesda
Skyrim i nothing without FREE MOD, they just just want to control somethign that give them MOOOOOOOOOOORE money, they have only money in the eyes, only this count for them
Rise up master pc race, rise and fight them, go boycott them and attack them where that make them really hurt
In he pocket. -
Apr 26, 2015Paying for mods? The only thing you should pay for is the base game, and the base game is not really that great without mods. I've been playing beth games since morrowind, i couldn't imagine paying for the thousands of mods I've used, or getting paid for the dozen or so mods i've released.
You have to be insane to think this will result in anything positiive. -
Mar 1, 2015After Oblivion, Skyrim pales in comparison. Streamlined and boring as hell. All the missions are repetitious and while the missions threads differ, the MO of each is identical and get's boring after the first two. TES dumbed down for Console gamers.
-
Dec 8, 2011Incremental improvement on Oblivion. I've had no game killing bugs, but a few crashes which is better than any other Bethesda game I've played. Grind, grind, grind is the name of the game. Flat main quest line that offers little in the way of re-playability. Addicting, yes. Engaging, no.

Nov 16, 2011This game looks amazing. It's worth the money and I feel it has that replayability to it. There are lots of things to do in Skyrim. You can smith your own armor, enchant your weapons, train in magic AND use swords, axes, hammers, bows and more. I'm going to play this game til 2099.
-
Dec 15, 2011Best RPG of the year. Big open world. Many quests - many gaming hours. Old school RPG with new style. Design of game more better than graphics. Waiting for addons!

Dec 3, 2011I didn't like SKYRIM, until I GOT HIT BY AN ARROW IN THE KNEE, y'know made me open my eyes then i was like what a beautiful game?, i shoulda bought Oblivion but i have skyrim now it dosen't matter the game is a very well done piece of RPG Western at it's finest, can the other RPG's knock Skyrim? who know's but only complaint is the world feels empty as times.
-
Dec 3, 2011A huge game in the tradition of Bethesda's memorable previous works of art. I have barely scratched the surface of Skyrim and have already gone through tons of immersive content. Truly an alternate world for one to lose himself into. I cannot understand how some users are giving it a 0 score. I think they are on the pay role of Bethesda's competitors. Sore losers!

Mar 31, 2013The best RPG ever made. I have been playing for 500 hours and still haven't done everything there is to do. The world is immersive and fun and the mod community make for almost unlimited potential. This might be the best game made, ever.
-
Apr 27, 2015Paid mods - Enough said. Valve and Bethesda have gone TOO FAR. I know their all about money, but they must be run by idiots to think they can get away with spitting in the face of a good portion of their player-base.
-
Apr 27, 2015This game was great to begin with but with Valve deciding to ask money for mods (75% WTF?!) i will have to give this game a poor review. I do not appreciate this valve.
-
Apr 27, 2015Nobody likes paid mods.
That was the point of this review. Bethesda and Steam are two money grabbing whores.
At this point it's like trying to come up with bs to fill an essay.. stupid 150 word min. -
Apr 27, 2015This game is a rough diamond that really needs the polish added by some good mods.
Now because of Greedy Bethesda and Greedy Valve, you could have to pay 100s of $$$ to make a 5year old game functional and worth playing...oh and only 25% of that goes to the modder, the rest gets taken by these greedy bar stewards.
Way to go guys, you've erased a decade of good will in one day
END PAID MODS! -

Feb 29, 2012Unfortunately, Skyrim trips and falls on its own (most probably, to make the cool-sounding deadline of 11-11-11) and just before it reaches perfection as the ultimate specimen of its genre, it self-destructs in a crucial aspect of game design: the interface and the peripheral components (inventory, journal, map, etc)... but that is not to say that Skyrim is anything but a truly majestic, epic RPG that will suck you right in its cosmos.
-
Feb 14, 2012Skyrim is definitely one of the best games of 2011, but if the DLC holds out, it might just be one of the best games of 2012 as well.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 19, 2012Skyrim is the best open world RPG you can get. A true evolution of genre is not flawless but still it is the game you love to live in. [Christmas 2011]
