It’s a great addition to the Elder Scrolls Lore and a lot of fun to set foot upon those lands again with higher quality visuals and game mechanics. If you love your open world gaming mixed with a bit of sword and sorcery, grab a copy and don your armour… it’s time to save someone from something…. oooh what’s that quest icon over there for…..

The Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind is a triumphant return to the island of Vvardenfell. It looks stunning, the story line is interesting, the new Warden class is cool and diverse and there is loads of content. A nearly perfect expansion.

Zenimax Online’s inaugural Chapter is a fresh start for game that’s already proven itself as one of the genre’s best titles. It didn’t need to get as good as Morrowind, but here we are. Morrowind, along with all the rest of the DLC we’ve received, has made it so that I don’t care to ever see the basic content of ESO again. That’s profound.

ESO: Morrowind is a fantastic addition to the base game, including exceptional writing in quests, a new class and PvP battlegrounds. Despite some minor issues, the game is worth your time.

As a first real expansion to this unconventional MMO, Morrowind goes out of its way to pay homage to the 2002 hit game bearing the same name. Fortunately, it succeeds in evoking just the right amount of nostalgia, while maintaining its own storytelling identity, with its only shortcomings in those features expected of an MMO.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is a solid, well-written and fascinating expansion of an imperfect game. If you loved the original Morrowind and you wanna come back to those lands, characters and lore, you won’t be disappointed.

The Elder Scrolls Online still has a split personality, in which the single-player side seems to be winning. Morrowind is an amazing place to discover and the quests are written very well. This truly is a solid RPG experience.

I can still say without a doubt that I have enjoyed Morrowind better than the initial release of ESO. The world seems a bit more alive and explorable. There also seems to be more polished adventure/quests going on in the initial release of Morrowind, which tells me that ZeniMax has learned a few things from past ESO lessons. Despite my disdain for some of the boss fights that are incredibly difficult when going solo in the game, the overall package of Morrowind really does provide an upgrade to the ESO family in several areas. If you haven’t played ESO, but have enjoyed The Elder Scrolls series, then this might be the right time to jump in to see what it is about.

The release of TESO: Morrowind is the perfect time for fans of the Elder Scrolls single player games to jump in and give the MMORPG a try if they’ve been hesitant so far. Even if you just play as a lone wolf and want to experience the game’s stories and quests as well as explore past Vvardenfell, it’s worth the price of admission. Whether you stay for the long haul, or convert from a different MMORPG is going to depend on how much you enjoy the game’s PvP and end game structure, which has both its strengths and weaknesses. If you’re already playing, you’ve likely figured that out already and don’t need this review to tell you. If you’re playing something else, the only way to know for sure if you’ll like it is to try, and TESO: Morrowind is an expansion worth giving a shot.

Morrowind is yet another quality expansion released for Elder Scrolls Online, with a nice mix of both nostalgic and novel content. This game is in my opinion worth your time whether you are a long-time veteran or beginning player of this MMO.

The storytelling and writing are taken to new heights, continuing a trend of improvement in each content release since Orsinium in 2015. The addition of the Warden class gives new and returning players alike a fresh and versatile way to play through the 25 hours of content. While the Warden’s bear companion skill disappoints and the Battlegrounds need work, what Morrowind does well has kept me enthralled in the world of Tamriel.

The writing is excellent, though the overall presentation can feel a little dry at times. The new Warden class needs a second look as well, but overall Morrowind is an excellent welcome mat for new and returning players.

Maybe this will not get more new players, but Morrowind is what every expansion should be. Featuring plenty of new content, a great new story and nostalgia for The Elder Scrolls’ veteran players.

A great repository of nostalgia-heavy stories, but it doesn’t make the most of being an MMO.

Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind certainly offers some great quest lines and a fantastic nostalgia trip for those familiar with Vvardenfell. However, it feels a lot emptier, with monsters being simply unexciting and the new PVP being abysmally balanced. The new Warden class, however, offers an interesting new way to play.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is a great return for the MMO made by ZeniMax and Bethesda Softworks. A standalone add-on for a brand new adventure, in the legendary island of Vvanderfell.

Morrowind's a bit worse for wear in 2017. It's hard to capture that same magic, to get back into the headspace of 2002 and forget everything that's come since. It's not just that it's ugly, it's also clumsy in many ways. That clumsiness endeared it to me way back when, but nowadays it's an obstacle.

This is MMO storytelling at it's best, and if you're a vanilla player like me returning, a real treat. Full Review »

When you introduce a newI love Eso but this content is trash I hate the fact I have to drop another 15$ to pay for an slot to make a warden. When you introduce a new class you should get a slot free with the purchase of Morrowind. There is very lack luster content in this game and everyone thats giving this update a +10 never played a real MMO that respects its customers. Stop supporting this greedy company that puts out content thats AWFUL 1 trial and a questing zone is utter garbage and BG's should have already been part of the game. So initially you should only be paying for the class and trial so it should be 20 usd not 40.

Make your content better cash cows Zenimax
