Jun 29, 2017It’s a great addition to the Elder Scrolls Lore and a lot of fun to set foot upon those lands again with higher quality visuals and game mechanics. If you love your open world gaming mixed with a bit of sword and sorcery, grab a copy and don your armour… it’s time to save someone from something…. oooh what’s that quest icon over there for…..
-
Jun 6, 2017The Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind is a triumphant return to the island of Vvardenfell. It looks stunning, the story line is interesting, the new Warden class is cool and diverse and there is loads of content. A nearly perfect expansion.
-
Jun 6, 2017Zenimax Online’s inaugural Chapter is a fresh start for game that’s already proven itself as one of the genre’s best titles. It didn’t need to get as good as Morrowind, but here we are. Morrowind, along with all the rest of the DLC we’ve received, has made it so that I don’t care to ever see the basic content of ESO again. That’s profound.
-
Jun 6, 2017Quotation forthcoming.
-
Jul 18, 2017ESO: Morrowind is a fantastic addition to the base game, including exceptional writing in quests, a new class and PvP battlegrounds. Despite some minor issues, the game is worth your time.
-
Jul 12, 2017As a first real expansion to this unconventional MMO, Morrowind goes out of its way to pay homage to the 2002 hit game bearing the same name. Fortunately, it succeeds in evoking just the right amount of nostalgia, while maintaining its own storytelling identity, with its only shortcomings in those features expected of an MMO.
-
Jun 9, 2017The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is a solid, well-written and fascinating expansion of an imperfect game. If you loved the original Morrowind and you wanna come back to those lands, characters and lore, you won’t be disappointed.
-
Jul 9, 2017The Elder Scrolls Online still has a split personality, in which the single-player side seems to be winning. Morrowind is an amazing place to discover and the quests are written very well. This truly is a solid RPG experience.
-
Jun 23, 2017Morrowind is a good additional chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online, that surprise for the quality of it story and it great missions design.
-
Jun 19, 2017I can still say without a doubt that I have enjoyed Morrowind better than the initial release of ESO. The world seems a bit more alive and explorable. There also seems to be more polished adventure/quests going on in the initial release of Morrowind, which tells me that ZeniMax has learned a few things from past ESO lessons. Despite my disdain for some of the boss fights that are incredibly difficult when going solo in the game, the overall package of Morrowind really does provide an upgrade to the ESO family in several areas. If you haven’t played ESO, but have enjoyed The Elder Scrolls series, then this might be the right time to jump in to see what it is about.
-
Jun 8, 2017The release of TESO: Morrowind is the perfect time for fans of the Elder Scrolls single player games to jump in and give the MMORPG a try if they’ve been hesitant so far. Even if you just play as a lone wolf and want to experience the game’s stories and quests as well as explore past Vvardenfell, it’s worth the price of admission. Whether you stay for the long haul, or convert from a different MMORPG is going to depend on how much you enjoy the game’s PvP and end game structure, which has both its strengths and weaknesses. If you’re already playing, you’ve likely figured that out already and don’t need this review to tell you. If you’re playing something else, the only way to know for sure if you’ll like it is to try, and TESO: Morrowind is an expansion worth giving a shot.
-
Jun 6, 2017Morrowind is yet another quality expansion released for Elder Scrolls Online, with a nice mix of both nostalgic and novel content. This game is in my opinion worth your time whether you are a long-time veteran or beginning player of this MMO.
-
Jun 6, 2017The storytelling and writing are taken to new heights, continuing a trend of improvement in each content release since Orsinium in 2015. The addition of the Warden class gives new and returning players alike a fresh and versatile way to play through the 25 hours of content. While the Warden’s bear companion skill disappoints and the Battlegrounds need work, what Morrowind does well has kept me enthralled in the world of Tamriel.
-
Jun 6, 2017The writing is excellent, though the overall presentation can feel a little dry at times. The new Warden class needs a second look as well, but overall Morrowind is an excellent welcome mat for new and returning players.
-
May 23, 2017Maybe this will not get more new players, but Morrowind is what every expansion should be. Featuring plenty of new content, a great new story and nostalgia for The Elder Scrolls’ veteran players.
-
Jun 8, 2017A great repository of nostalgia-heavy stories, but it doesn’t make the most of being an MMO.
-
Jun 6, 2017Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind certainly offers some great quest lines and a fantastic nostalgia trip for those familiar with Vvardenfell. However, it feels a lot emptier, with monsters being simply unexciting and the new PVP being abysmally balanced. The new Warden class, however, offers an interesting new way to play.
-
Jun 6, 2017The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is a great return for the MMO made by ZeniMax and Bethesda Softworks. A standalone add-on for a brand new adventure, in the legendary island of Vvanderfell.
-
Jul 14, 2017The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind surprises in his quest to enhance the solo experience, but after completing the main adventure few incentives remain to continue in his world.
-
Jul 20, 2017The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind is a great nostalgia trip for those that experienced the original main series game. Other than that, though, what it has to offer is outclassed by better, more popular games. However, if you do want to experience the oft-talked about Morrowind setting in a more modern game engine with more modern gameplay mechanics, and are able to look past its flaws, this might be a good time-waster for you.
-
Jul 17, 2017Morrowind is a capable add-on to an MMO that's a leader in story and questing, and is only improving with age.
-
Jul 1, 2017Morrowind is a good expansion, very enjoyable, and its single player content is very solid, even though once we finish the story we would be missing something more.
-
Jun 29, 2017First and foremost, Morrowind is a captivating place to land and an interesting island to explore, rich with lore and content but hobbled by some dull writing and bland storytelling. Like the Elder Scrolls Online base game, Morrowind feels static, lacking imagination in its mechanics and design. Fans of the 2002 RPG will enjoy the visual upgrade to what is now a very old game and current players of Elder Scrolls Online will certainly appreciate the new content as well. Gamers who became disenchanted with formulaic MMOs will have their disappointments confirmed in Morrowind, and should probably set sail for Vvardenfell with modest expectations.
-
Jun 29, 2017TESO: Morrowind is a fine experience packed with some nostalgia. Aside from some new stories, new characters and new excitements, overall, it doesn’t do quite well expanding the universe. Plus, the development team should really eliminate the old gameplay mechanics.
-
Jun 9, 2017The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind feels more like a DLC than a MMORPG. The main campaign isn't very long and the new features such as the Warden or Battlegrounds don't really add that much to the game itself. Fans of The Elder Scrolls III will probably feel nostalgic when running around there where everything started but then everything will become The Elder Scrolls Online again.
-
Jun 6, 2017The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is a clear-cut attempt to spark its longing, longtime fans’ excitement as well as gaining new ones. Are you ready to get back to Vvardenfell and 2002 to the places that left us spellbound ever since?
-
Jun 6, 2017A fun experience. It didn’t quite recapture the old feel of Morrowind, nor did I expect it to. Nostalgic imaginings never quite get it right, relying on the hype of previous entries. It was, however, a good-faith effort with a strong focus.
-
Jun 6, 2017Bethesda has done a great job of recreating one of the franchise's most iconic locations in the Morrowind Expansion for ESO. It's also a good showcase for just how far this game has come in the last few years.
-
Jun 6, 2017While Elder Scrolls Online has improved through the release of Morrowind, it still isn't enough of a jump to warrant a resounding recommendation (the 4v4v4 PVP mode here still isn't enough to get me into ESO PVP). If you already own it and are coasting by on free-to-play fumes, you should still think about upgrading and exploring the pointed, more focused land of Vvardenfell.
-
Jun 6, 2017It provides just enough to encourage previously disheartened players to return and see how the world has changed, but not quite enough to win over the soul of the average MMO player.
-
Jun 8, 2017Compared to the first release of The Elder Scrolls Online, Morrowind is far more balanced, the overall quality has improved and it has the right amount of nostalgia. Probably not the best MMO around, but if you ever wanted to give it a try, now is the right moment.
-
CD-ActionSep 25, 2017I tried, really tried to like The Elder Scrolls as a MMORPG, I gave it a fair number of chances. Now I hoped the Morrowind will be a game-changer, but unfortunately it will not convince those who were unable to embrace TESO earlier. [09/2017, p.50]

Jun 6, 2017Morrowind's a bit worse for wear in 2017. It's hard to capture that same magic, to get back into the headspace of 2002 and forget everything that's come since. It's not just that it's ugly, it's also clumsy in many ways. That clumsiness endeared it to me way back when, but nowadays it's an obstacle.
