    Great game for people that watched the first two movies in the early 90s. I just couldn't stop till the ending. This game is better than most of AAA-crap big publishers release nowadays. It made me feel a kid again.

    As a huge lover of the terminator franchise this game is everything I hoped it would be. The game play is smooth and flows nicely and the soundtrack is amazing. The graphics are a bit out of date but this is Gold when compared to the previous terminator games that have been released.     Everything you could possibly want is here: T-800s, Infiltrators, HKs, miniguns, and yes--purple lasers.

    Terminator: Resistance could best be described as a first-person shooter with light RPG elements. There's experience and leveling, crafting, inventory management, lockpicking and hacking, dialogue choices, quests, and more. None of these elements are particularly deep or well-executed, but they're serviceable nonetheless.

    The world isn't completely open ala Fallout, but rather broken up into several districts (think Homefront: The Revolution or even the Metro series). Each district is open and non-linear enough so that you can take a stealthy or guns-blazing approach to complete your objectives. There are all sorts of nooks and crannies to explore, too, and Easter Eggs to find.

    The shooting itself is nothing special and the ho-hum AI results in an experience that's a little too forgiving (even at higher difficulty levels), but the tremendous atmosphere and surprisingly strong story help make up for it. The decaying, robot-patrolled environments paired with the excellent soundtrack make for a haunting atmosphere that's unrivaled when it comes to Terminator games. The fleshed-out, well-written characters shine too, even despite their mostly mediocre voice acting. And the main plot is engaging from start to finish, complete with an ending that's determined by your actions throughout the course of the game.

    Overall, this is one of those games that's greater than the sum of its parts. If you love the Terminator universe, I'd go as far as to say it's a must-play. Just don't expect a AAA-quality product (especially by way of graphics and voice acting), because you certainly won't find that here.    … Expand

    the game is pretty good felt like close to fallout style, the graphic is very nice, sound effects look good and amazing soundtrack. the story and other stuff were ok at least the game was very playable.

    Ok, just beat the game and am here to give an honest opinion. As it is, this is the second best terminator game, I have played. There are tons out there, and the overwhelming majority are bad. This is a close second to Future Shock. There is a skill system that is sadly very basic. Its effective, but so basic it feels like it was a last minute slap in. As it stands, this is very good and it closes the story arcs of T1 and T2. This is what dark fate SHOULD have been...

    The bad, the graphics are really outdated, a lot of the textures are very low resolution, etc. I did notice it only because I was exploring thoroughly. There are a finite amount of terminators/skynet units on a map, the rest is just finding stuff for crafting ammo/explosives, health kits, finding journals, etc. There are some side quests too. I feel like this game could have been so much more. I would love to see a sequel/remake to this that includes a fully open roam world with a better rpg and equipment system, as well as better character development. Also the romance scenes were kind of... there? I never saw them coming, nor did anyone really need them... You don't see anything with the characters and it really leads nowhere, plotwise. So... why did they need to exist in the first place?

A semi-open world survival horror post apocalyptic stealth shooter that brings the future war scenes of the Terminator to life. Superb game-play, story and writing. The game's characters feel three dimensional and give you choices which matter. Apart from theI guess the critics weren't paid enough to shill for this one.     Game mechanics are not great but better than some AAA games I played and given this is a budget game and the graphics I'm not complaining they are okayish everything else is great. Bottom-line If you're a Terminator fan this is a MUST just forget about the mainstream reviews!

Открытый мир тесный но наполненный различными моделями роботов , Которые к слову не сильно умные, К сожалению разочаровало отсутствие Русского языка. В общем соглашусь что это лучшая игра воИгра не лишена проблем, но те кому нравится франшиза Терминатора (первой и второй частей ) то вы оцените. The developers put alot of heart into this. T2 is my all time favorite movie and i am as picky as they come when it comes to the lore and mythos of the first two movies and i can say, this is a love letter to fans like myself.     Cons: There is nothing new a shooter , we have rpg elements, weak points in enemies, taking picture of enemies, blowing up stations of enemies it borrowed alot from far cry. if you get excited when you watch movies you will definitely enjoy this game.     Terminator: Resistance campaign is worthy enough for gamers to enjoy some mindless action in killing terminators and other robots, this game has been great fun for me and I can highly recommend a BUY it's well worth your time..

    Good game about terminators. The atmosphere, an interesting setting, a variety of mechanics, scenes as if from a movie. If the game’s budget were larger, the game would easily become a hit.

    This game is AWESOME. The story is outstanding, the music is very immersive and original from movies, the optimization is very good, the firing is very good, the terminator models are perfect, the animations are good, but not perfect, the graphics is good, but not perfect. I will definitely play this game once more someday.

    So heres the deal, the game isn't a looker, and AI in the game is... not bad, but dumb so play the game on the hardest difficulty. Overall the game doesn't reinvent the wheel but nor does it really do much wrong either gameplay is pretty fun with some tense moments, the story and characters are good and for the most part I didn't mind the voice acting either though some delivery and performances even I found cringe-worthy. Theres a lot of fan service in the game, and most importantly it sounds and feels like a Terminator film (the good ones, that is).

    On a scale of 1-10 if you are a general gamer with no appreciation of the Terminator films then this game is likely a 6, not bad, not good, has some nice moments, but ultimately not much beyond that. For Terminator fans however it is a solid 7 (8 is generous, and I feel what some people are giving it to offset the unfairly harsh critic scores) for all of the aforementioned reasons. The few areas the game does really fall down is graphically, some more polish here really would have paid off, smarter AI, and levels that had more life to them, respawning enemies for instance. On PC I also have high hopes that modders will give this game some improvements which if you are a Terminator fan would then likely bump it up to an 8, if you can find this game for £25 or so and you are a Terminator fan it is certainly worth a play and you'll have fun but theres not enough here to be paying more than that.    … Expand

    I will try to make it simple as always - Teyon, what you did left me in awe... I guess I was never gamingly so pleasantly surprised before and I play games since Terminator: Future shock... (wink wink). Trully a love letter to the Terminator franchise, very much respecting the source material (T and T2). Have its flaws but they are minor things and can be fixed later and its nothing gameI will try to make it simple as always - Teyon, what you did left me in awe... You can fly through the game in about 6h but if you are willing to explore the maps you will spend MUCH more time in this game. I spend those 6h only on the first open area not even meeting the T-800 yet and having all the equipment! Also has a replay value since there are multiple story options and endings and ways to talk to other NPC's. You really can see that the developers actually had huge respect to the source. Btw, if you hide from the T-800 in the vent thinking you are safe - think again! They may crawl towards you and Phase Plasma rifle you in the face :) Take my word on this, that if you are a fan of the first 2 movies like me (I have been huge fan for about 25 years now) this game will caress your soul :) Also what most "professional" critiques are showing so far is just unbelievable and the top of ignorance.     First of all, this is a genre classic game which based on story of it's origins. The developers made this game on a very low budget and I believe if they had some opportunities like Ea, Bethesda, Blizzard etc. they could be created an absolute over 9 point game from it!
    Why?
    I always consider those elements when I play video games.

    1st Story! Which must be connected to players as emotional with ambience. Not a dull or empty story like Fallout 76 or Death Stranding did. Game shouldn't make players to be feel playing in an empty world. But Terminator Resistance have a good story telling which is a way to connect to Terminator 1&2 movies. I really liked it. I recognized many areas like in these "Future War" scenes. If they hadn't the lack of budget, probably these area details could be immensive. (9/10)

    2nd is about game play mechanics! I must confess that game mechanics were decent to simple build for a decent FPS game. Game menus, inventory and option etc. were simple. That's enough to play a FPS game but always can be better some way. (7/10)

    3rd is about atmosphere! Honestly, I really like to hear classic Terminator soundtracks even at very intensive fights against Terminators. But Brad Fiedel's Love Scene themed song was the only one did hit shot on my heart! Map areas also fine but again lack of details were only problem. However still it's enough to get to high points by it's own for a low budged game! (8/10)

    4rd and last thing about graphics! I always consider graphics as a last resort in my priority. I really don't like Motion Blur effects and not only this game, several couple of games are not giving a choice to completely OFF these blurry graphics. I had to play the game at low details of Post Processing. There is not many games success to prevent Motion Sickness with their intensive graphics lately. So, I was not happy about low detail of graphics. Graphics feels like I was playing this game early 2010. So, I will give this to budget issue again. Could be better with better opportunities if Teyon had. On this point (6/10)

    So, my final verdict for this game is about between 7&8 But I would like to give a credit to this game and it's deserving it. We need some decent story based games more than dull made, empty open world games.

    Note: I'm still waiting for an adventure FPS/RPG Jurassic Park themed game as well. Last time I played these "Dino Crisis and JP Trespasser" back then earlier 2000. These were only good dino games that I remember.    … Expand

    Story is good, graphics are decent, guns are satisfying and the soundtrack is good. However the animations are very questionnableand the voice acting is very cringe-worthy most of the time. Not an awful game considering it's from the people who made the Rambo game.

    It's basically Fallout in the Terminator universe.

    I'm shocked this turned out to be good, but it did.

    These guys did a better game than any of Bethesda's offerings from 1/100 of Bethesda's budget.

    I really hope this sells well and we'll get a AAA+ budget game from Teyon later.

While graphically it could look better, the story is good - with your choices affecting the ending - and I'll say it, no microtransactions! Sound is great for the weapons, weapons sound as you would expect and know from previous films, ambience is brilliant. Voice acting is up and down, in both volume and delivery but doesn't really detract from the overall story. The only problem I really have (which I've read is being fixed) is there seems to be minimal difference between difficulty levels.

    The side missions are a nice little touch and a reason to explore the map more, or kill more tin cans, whichever you feel like. I have done two playthroughs so far and considering I already know most of what happens, it's still fun. It's enjoyable to be in the future war, to be a soldier fighting Skynet.

    "Review Websites" may not enjoy the game because it's not a AAA title that's entirely polished, or may be missing "current gen features" - it has Aim Down Sights, ability to use medkits, and an unlockable health regen system. I think the player rating says it all, in this case. Great game, some flaws, nothing game breaking. I would gladly play this repeatedly and gladly buy a sequel or DLC should they ever materialize.

    Edit: This is a pre large patch as I understand it, will update after patch. Would also add the characters you tend to actually care about, rather than having them as just throwaways, especially if you learn their stories.    … Expand

    Graphics is not everything. Story good. Gameplay decent. Musics awsome! Give this game a chance.(Especially if you are a Terminator fan) Its the best Terminator game out there. More enjoyable than most AAA games.

    Yes this is the BEST Terminator Game since T2 Arcade and Robocop Vs. Terminator. Combat can be quite enjoyable when you have to weave stealth strategy with balls to the wall gun-play. The story is par for the course for post-apocalyptic RPG's, but with the familiarity of the Terminator/John Connor Saga its not a complete snore-fest. Some characters have some sad backstories, and IYes this is the BEST Terminator Game since T2 Arcade and Robocop Vs. Terminator. Combat can be quite enjoyable when you have to weave stealth strategy with balls to the wall gun-play. The story is par for the course for post-apocalyptic RPG's, but with the familiarity of the Terminator/John Connor Saga its not a complete snore-fest. Some characters have some sad backstories, and I really thought about the choices I had to make to ensure that they survive.

    Graphics are nice, however I cannot look away from the facial animations. I've seen PS2 and XBOX 360 games with better facial animations. It occurs to me that the facial animations are better(not by a lot but slightly over the "uncanny valley") during the sex scenes, which remind me of watching soft core movies on HBO 20 years ago.

    Music isn't varied, but you do get the classic songs from Terminator 2. I really got into it when the Hospital music from T2 started up the first time I had to figure out how to escape a building crawling with T-800. Gets the job done....

    Game is way too short, there is also an XP cap which kind of sucks, and the game doesn't reward you for exploring, chests just have supplies and materials, you can get through the game without having to craft much, I found myself only crafting like maybe 7 times total the entire time I played the game. Right when I felt like I got the combat down and I had the ability to take our HK Aerial the final quest was upon me.

    If you love Terminator 2 and want to have a game to complete over the weekend without having to invest much time into grinding, then this is definitely worth the purchase.    … Expand

Since those flashback scenes in the firs Terminator movie and the beginning of judgement day. Finally this is that game and more. It delivers the same menacing atmosphere with a goose bump inducing soundtrack and the irresistible and iconic sound the Plasma rifle makes. TheDo not trust the professional reviews on this one.     Terminator is back! The One from the 80s. Is it a prequel or a sequel? Who cares if a temporary loop is out there... Works more or less fine on Ubuntu 18.04 (AMD Ryzen 7 2700X + Nvidia GTX 1080 + QHD + 32 GB) + Proton 4.11-13.

    An engaging and surprisingly polished 15 hours. The game does not particularly excel at any of its combined gameplay elements, but it's solid nonetheless. It's also frequently on sale, and definitely worth the asking price if you are a fan of the Terminator franchise. I think the developers did the best they could with what they had, and I appreciate their effort.

    Need much more resilient Terminators, the fight against the infiltrator was the best part of the game, he just kept coming on, and soaked a ton of fire! -I even died once there, but only once. Id rather have the Terminators being more rare, but really tough so you need to kite, lure into ambushes ex.
    More stuff to buy - I never bought much other then best chips, chips also kinda meh.

    Overall though- VERY enjoyable game, and as a "old boy" who was hot on T2 as a kid Id say this is by far THE BEST terminator game to date! - its well worth my money! I hope they will do a nr 2 or lots of DLC or modding community picks up on this and make more content.

    That said this is still one of the better titles in a year of pretty crummy games.

    The game is surprisingly good! It has a brilliant atmosphere, also the graphics is quite decent. Night missions look great and scarry (very nice lighting and fire effects - just like in the movies). You can feel the atmosphere of fear all the time, a mission in the hospital, where we have to sneak between Terminator patrols, without having a weapon that could damage them, is great! I alsoThe game is surprisingly good! It has a brilliant atmosphere, also the graphics is quite decent. Night missions look great and scarry (very nice lighting and fire effects - just like in the movies).     Graphic ain't the greatest, the game is quite linear to someone used playing games like Witcher 3, Fallout series games and such. So why the high score......the game is very FUN despite being a budget game compared to the tripple A's and it also ties in with a good story    I only enjoyed one other terminator games other then this and that was Terminator Future Shock back in the 1990s.

    Graphic ain't the greatest, the game is quite linear to someone used playing games like Witcher 3, Fallout series games and such. So why the high score......the game is very FUN despite being a budget game compared to the tripple A's and it also ties in with a good story into the first two movies while ignoring the series of mediocre movies after them including the latest abortion of a movie.

    But most important to me.....the atmosphere in this game IS terminator cannon to 100% which makes the good story even more fun to play through.

I give it 10 out of 10 in all areas except some of the dialogue which is a little cheesy and the some of the outdoor graphics look a little dated at times. However, the game play, story, progression, audio, respect of the source material of the first two Terminator movies and the overall atmosphere is utterly perfect.     My only problem with the game is, although it's fun, it's too easy. After 2 hours you'll become an unstoppable killing/sneaking machine, mowing down terminator after terminator. Hopefully in future patches they can increase the difficulty of the game because right now it really needs a bit more challenge.

    Also, considering these are the guys that made the horrible Rambo game, they've come a long way. Good on them.

I could not finish the game, and watched the walkthrough on YouTube, because at some point I realized that I just could not bring myself to sit down and play further. But a couple of years ago I finished first parts of MassProbably the only game in this franchise that didn't fail. Reliable atmosphere, recognizable music. Interesting story... So the point is not in the graphics itself, but in the fact that mentally I cannot accept that such "wooden" graphics are not from the past, where I missed the game, but from 2019, and that the graphics is not compensated by some interesting mechanics(map is raw and don't have any techno features, shooting and weapon recoil are "flat".

    Great game for fans. Even scary sometimes. The skilltree is fun and the sidequests are entertaining. The game is not overloaded with quests and decisions matter. The graphics are solid mid range.

    O jogo conta com MUITA ação, mas há momentos que podemos agir com furtividade. Ele tem algumas escolhas, mas as grandes tomadas de decisões acontecem no final do jogo.

    O jogo conta como e o motivo da Skynet ter elaborado os ciborgues (infiltradores) e a criação da máquina do tempo. Em forma de referência, também descobrimos quem era o cara "original" que deu seu rosto ao T-1000, com o rosto do próprio Robert Patrick.

    Uma coisa que eu digo, não leve em conta as análises de "sites especializados", a maioria que eu li sequer conhece a franquia e não entendeu o contexto do jogo, que é canônico, dentro do universo dos filmes. Se quer referência de análise, utilize a análise dos jogadores tanto no Metacritic quanto no próprio Steam.

    This game got such unfair bad fame after the launch. Yes it’s not the best shooter but it’s a great Terminator game. The IA is bad and the game got clunky fell but that part is also so much terminator vibe. Give it a chance it was a nice game for me.

    Also there are romance scenes, you don't see anything. I don't really think they are needed, but who cares.

    Movies are trash-terminators since "Terminator 3", but this game made it!
    For "Terminator 1 & 2" fans, I would say game worth it, at least because of story (take Easy mode if needed).

    I like the stealth, I like the action, I like the hidden loot.

    The skill trees not too deep but still has some depth at least early on.

    Crafting is the same way not too deep but avaliable and direct.


    The story starts a bit slow but I enjoyed it. its another time jump terminator style story. So if you can follow the movies then you understand whats going on.

    Terminator Resistance is one such game and I ask why are "pro reviews" averaging 6.0 and Users 8.1? Maybe they are annoyed that some big developer didn't throw loads of money at making a true AAA Terminator game. But ultimately I don't know and I don't care but what is important is that Terminator Resistance is actually a gem of a game. It won't win awards for graphics and doesn't push any boundaries or do anything new. But what it does it does well.

    It is a Semi open post-apocalyptic world that captures the atmosphere of the Terminator series well.

    Graphics and animations are fine for a 2019 cross platform game and while they could be better I can't complain because I have seen worse in some so called AAA games.

    Decent RPG aspects that are not convoluted or overly complicated. It is nice to have skills logically presented, like increase health, increase weapon damage and that is perfectly fine and all that is required. I don't need fancy graphics or animations when I'm selecting a skill to increase.

    Decent storyline with some decisions that affect the final outcome and you do end up caring about some of these people.

    Combat is fine as long as you accept it is an action RPG arcade style shooter. No it doesn't have weapon recoil or ballistics and thin bits of wood stop bullets etc.

    Audio is great and again captures the sounds of the movies perfectly.

    Coming against your first Terminators with ineffective weapons is a genuinely cool and tense moment. The developers stuck very well to the lore of the first 2 monies and the story does make sense when taken into the context of these movies. So if you are a Terminator movie fan you will enjoy finding the little Easter eggs like the Tech Noir nightclub etc. You can forgive the dated but more than decent graphics for a 2019 game and just enjoy the experience of playing the best Terminator game that has been released to date.    … Expand

    - El juego no genera tensión, cuando aparece el primer T-800 no puedes dañarle al no tener armamento avanzado y crea una atmósfera casi de terror, lo malo es que eso dura 10 minutos ya que enseguida consigues armas para hacerles frente y ya es una ensalada de tiros hasta el final del juego.
    - Debido a la facilidad de conseguir munición y lo rápido que consigues armas potentes, el juego resulta fácil aún en el nivel de dificultas más alto.

    Los fans de Terminator lo disfrutarán a medias y verán una oportunidad desaprovechada...los que no son fans que ni se acerquen a esta propuesta.    … Expand

    1) NO LGBT
    2) A man is shown courageously
    3) Women are feminine
    Nothing could be worse for critics!
    This game is better than the latest Hollywood Terminator movies!

    The game is far from perfect, with good fan service and a weak ending. 8/10

    On the beginning I did not have expectations for this game, especially with they previous abomination Rambo : The Video Game, but... surprisingly this game is good/decent :) atmosphere of future war is here, T-800 looks great, story and other stuff is ok. As an FPS/RPG game is has its flaws, but even with their low budget they made very playable game :)

    For all whining kids about graphics/old models/boring story, etc. - it's not an AAA game title, with 500 mil budget, with Red Dead Redemption 2 graphics and phisics that will have some huge impact in game industry.
    If you want to play a decent FPS with RPG element, with ok graphics, good atmosfere, with some different story than current generation its game for you - especially if you are the Terminator fan (we waited a looong time to see another T-based game).
    I hope they will add some DLC to this game or maybe made another game in this universe !! :)    … Expand

    It has been said before.. For fans of the first two Terminator movies, this is a fantastic game. The attention to detail is incredible. You can feel the passion devs have when creating this game. The story is fantastic and the characters are very likable and for me, this is the true T2 successor!

    I'm giving it a 10 for taking Kyle Reese's future war PTSD flashback, and making an entire game out of it. It lacks polish, and the RPG mechanics are really unnecessary, but damn when a hunter killer does a flyby over you... they nailed the atmosphere

    It runs very well too. I'm able to use DSR at 1440p on all Epic settings besides shadows with a consistent 60fps using a stock i7 4790k and 4gb 980.     The game looks atmospheric, good soundtrack. The graphics are not at the level of RDR2, but not too bad. Animations, physics, shooting are certainly not very good, but for a small budget it looks pretty good. With their budget, they would not have enough money for everything at once.

I have set the difficulty to hard so fights are more dangerous and I love there's no quick save but you have to find computer. I don't think it's that bad. Go and try demo or watch a gameplay to see. for me it is great game. Terminator is back and I hope there will be other projects coming up in future.… Expand

    Huge fan of The Terminator and Judgement Day and unlike most terminator games before this you are trusted into an immersive world which is achieved with an amazing soundtrack that's impossible to overstate, amazing atmosphere and a cohesive story that makes you care for the characters. Unfortunately one of the first things wrong you may notice with this game is the stiff animation of theHuge fan of The Terminator and Judgement Day and unlike most terminator games before this you are trusted into an immersive world which is achieved with an amazing soundtrack that's impossible to overstate, amazing atmosphere and a cohesive story that makes you care for the characters. Unfortunately one of the first things wrong you may notice with this game is the stiff animation of the human NPCs (thankfully the terminators are animated beautifully). The hit and miss voice acting can be distracting but this can all be overlooked because you can see, hear and feel the love for the source material and lore the developers had.

    All that is well and good but no game is perfect and this game definitely has it's flaws, for starters it's to damn easy, for some reason the devs thought the players were idiots and needed all sorts of annoying HUD elements such as detection meter and min map along with floating icons above enemies that see you its just frustrating to see such an immersive world but get pulled out because of red bars and floating triangles, and for some reason the super smart AI that took over the world can't see you from more than 50 ft away combine that with slow reactions and weak searching for the player then stealthing is a joke even on the hardest difficulty (the only difficulty worth playing in my opinion) and i'm not even going to talk about wall hack vision. i think it's important i also talk about the very generic skill tree and basic loot system both of which i feel like were there just to artificially fill in the game with more content, loot isn't needed because there's a trader and a trader isn't needed because there's loot (if that makes sense) on my first run (hard mode) i was on the last mission with 50 first aid kits and about 20 medkit II and 2000+ rounds of ammo and at least 50k supplies because i would just pick up terminators guns and sell them repeatedly (I never needed to buy from the trader once in the entire game) and if lockpicking or hacking didn't have varying difficulties you would be able to play the game without spending any skill points (if you don't care about those 2 things then you probably could get through the game with no skill points spent).

    Pros:
    +Amazing Soundtack
    +Amazing Sounds in general
    +immersive atmosphere
    +faithful to source material
    +Plays fairly well
    +good story

    Cons:
    -Voice acting is hit and miss
    -stiff animations (sometimes)
    -seemingly useless mechanics
    -Game is too easy

    Surprisingly not a bad game, actually it maybe the best terminator game ever made. But on its own without the terminator fan blindfold its pretty bland and characters are not all that interesting, story is predictable but not bad yet still average and cliche. Gameplay can be fun at times but has a lot of problems too. Overall the game is fun and pretty short.

    IGN is trash, this game has 90% on steam and it's a really good game. Game looks like what post apocalyptic should look like, much better than metro, game-play is fast and fun. Would love to see this game as open world though. But for what it is, it's great entertainment for a day a two.

If you tried to be stealthy it was very difficult to sneak around since it's very linear. You move very slowly unless you sprint and the enemies move around fast so sneaking around objects felt frustrating. You could only use thermal vision if you didn't run...and made walking even slower and you couldn't see your objective markers while using it so it was very annoying constantly clicking it on and off. If they focused on making it either a real shooter or a real stealth game it could have been good but trying to make it both and doing it poorly just felt like I was in a straight jacket and couldn't do anything. The mechanics might have worked if it was open world like Fallout because at least then there'd be plenty of space to sneak around.

    It seems most people are comparing this game to other Terminator games...in that case, it's probably kinda good.    … Expand

    The graphics are decent but we all know there are better graphical games out there so I won't belabor that point. If you're skulking around in the dark with no plasma weapons and T-800's are patrolling you don't have time to check the license plate on a destroyed car to make sure it has California tags.

    The crafting is weak, basically you pick up junk and make way more equipment than you need. The weapon mods are ok but I was more entertained with the different weapons than the actual mods. It's bad ass when you finally get plasma weaponry and can start attacking the Terminators.

    The throwing system for pipe bombs and canister grenades is terrible, you better aim straight or it's coming back in your face.

    The characters are weak, I mostly skipped through their BS talking.

    Some of the music is awesome such as the old school Terminator theme and the T-1000 chase music from the 2nd movie, and some sucks. Very repetitive. But it fits with the game.

    The sounds are great and totally nail the Terminator movies. Plasma weaponry = PERFECT sound and totally captures the feel of the game. Overhead HK's can be heard through the fog so you have time to get to cover before they are on top of you.

    And of course, SkyNet. There are some basic enemies that I'm not sure needed to be in the game and they aren't anything to write home about. The first time you see a T-800 however, it is freaky as hell and at the same time you can't help but smile. They capture the the slow, deliberate movements pretty damn well and it's fun to watch them during fire fights. The Infiltrators are bad ass and tough to beat without advanced weaponry. There are some huge enemies I won't mention that were not in the first two movies that are tough to get around and you really don't want to fight them either. HK Aerials are bad ass when attacking you and fun to hide from, makes you feel as if you are in the movie. HK Tanks and gatling plasma = BAD ASS, nothing more needs to be said.

    The only thing we need now is to expound upon this series and have a multiplayer style, Terminator vs Resistance game. I'm sure everyone that plays this wishes they could be the Infiltrator laying waste to a hideout, or the HK Tank gunning down a platoon of weak-stick humans only to get blown up by a canister grenade under their treads.

    All in all, I was happy I bought the game. The few minutes of each T1 and T2 movie that showed the future war was what we all wanted to play and see and this game delivers. HK Aerials overhead with spotlights, T-800's advancing on the resistance fighters with their slow, methodical killing pace, sneaking around buildings to do objectives.. it's all here.    … Expand

    This is the best game in the terminator universe. The atmosphere, music, and plot presentation are simply excellent. Yes of course there are shoals of clumsy animation, bad textures, etc.. But the game has a small budget. All rights reserved. This is what it means when talented people get involved. Money doesn't decide everything.

    Don't get me wrong. Terminator 1 and 2 is one of the best action movies ever made and I really like the lore and apocalyptic theme. But I think this is a missed opportunity here. I would really liked to have seen a Alien : Isolation type of game. More hiding, sneaking and really feel that the Terminators are dangerous and scary for real.

    My advice is to wait for a price drop before buying. 20-25$ seems resonable.

    Game Describes events in "Future" of original 2 movies when you play as Rivers, the Resistance Soldier, later member of Tech-Com (basically more offensive detachment of Resistance) and you will fight Tons of enemies along this journey filled with Easter Eggs and References on the Movies, for example you can find Old Medical Prognosis from Dr. Silberman (T1 & 2 Shrink) which is direct quote of Prognosis from T2 on Psychic Status of Sarah Connor from 2nd movie (image in my Screenshots).

    Enemies have many different classes starting by small Drones through Armored spiders similar to those from Terminator Salvation game, Turrets (which you can Hack), you also encounter the T-800 series Combat Endoskeletons, which from start are really hard to Destroy, Later with better Weaponry not much an issue, unless you meet the Infiltrator unit or some other more specialized models. You will Also meet with Heavy walkers in which line of fire you really don't want to stand and with Iconic Hunter-Killer Tanks and Aerials known from movies and Hell these are sometimes hard to kill.

    Audio in this game is Great, well at least for the fan I guess. Soundtrack is very based on similar track from the first 2 movies, but no direct copies from movies, one example for all is the main theme which is basically Rock version of T1's Main Theme and it's great.
    Pulse Weapon sounds are taken from the movies and remastered, so yeah they are going heavily on Nostalgia wave. Pulse Weapons are based on Movie Counter-parts, well mostly, the first Plasma rifle you get is based on Kyle Reese's Rifle from Movie, but it's rearranged and well it doesn't look as good as it could but overall nice looking weapons.

    Animations are Clunky and facial animations are ... well dead, really worst thing on this game are conversations mostly because of those Dead expressions on Characters.

    Summary:
    So far the best game based on Terminator Movies, but overall nothing special in gaming Spectrum.
    Classic action filled FPS with few RPG elements with Great Atmosphere.

    Bit above average game for a fan (7/10)
    Average shooter for someone who don't like or don't know Terminator Universe (5/10)    … Expand

    It's just ok. It's mainly the enemies that let this down. The enemy mechanics and graphics are pretty poor. I've played for about 2 hours and I already think I'll move on to something more fun.

    Fan de la licence Terminator, j'ai été satisfait par quelques éléments sympa de fan service :
    [spoiler] modélisation de Robert Patrick en humain, avant que Skynet ne le transforme en T1000 [/spoiler] , certains décors familiers (l'hopital psy, les balançoires du parc, le refuge du 1er film)

    Le jeu se place dans le futur dépeint lors des deux premiers opus ciné, et chronologiquement avant le premier film. C'est un long couloir, doté d'une technique en retard de quelques années (ce qui est raccord avec le scénar, au passage), certaines textures sont un peu baveuses, du glitch de textures est souvent visible si l'on colle trop les murs et qu'un angle passe par là, l'optimisation est .... perfectible, pour des graphismes de ce calibre (100 fps de moyenne, mais d'inexplicables chutes récurrentes à 38 fps font tâche)

    Я не знаю как можно было выпустить такой слабый проект . В игре все плохо ,начиная от сложности и заканчивая технической составляющей. Графика очень мыльная ,ФОВ ниже плинтуса ,весь мир выглядит пластмассовым ,анимации удручающие ,геймплей скучнейший до получения плазменного оружия .После его получения слово "скучно" будет слишком скудным чтобы описать происходящее .Никакие механики в игреЯ не знаю как можно было выпустить такой слабый проект .     If you ever wanted to explore the nuclear wasteland that is the terminator earth, this game lets you do it.
    I realy dug this game, we dont get many horror games with a good combat focus anymore. This game has elements of Dead Island , RE7 and Alien isolation, in my opinion and mixes aspect from those game very satisfyingly..

    The production value is low unfortunatly, but they still msnage to make the world look artisticly awsome and the characters interesting.
    I had trouble finding how this game performed on consoles.. PS4 its 1080p smooth 60 fps.. Xbox 1X its 4K very unstable at 60 , but fine at 30 and PS5 and PC it runs best.

    The rest of the game is such a slog with mindboggling design-choices that left me shaking my head. I guess the positive reviews are just desperate attempts of wishful thinking. Maybe the reviewers just remember the actually good short last part of the game? Or the intro? Because after the good first 30 minutes or so the game takes a total nosedive.     Forced dialogue and annoying babbling kids are bad enough, but what the hell did the design-team think, when they decided to play a big portion of the game during DAYLIGHT?!

    The daylight-sections look just plain ugly. Really really ugly. The strength of the game, are nearly all sections that play at night.

    I mean: People wrote in their Reviews how the game is like they've always imagined an original terminator-game would look, after comparing it to the first two movies.
    But didn't the flashbacks show us battles during THE NIGHT?!

    Weapons and hit-detection feels kinda off (it gets a little better though, when you get your hand on some futuristic weapons. - Unfortunately you'll get them very late in the game!).

    The stealth-mechanics feel very clunky, maybe thats the fault of lacking real alternative routes. There are airducts and small reroutes at some scarse points, but so many ways are just artificially blocked or funnel you right through enemy-positions.    … Expand

    Terminator: Resistance shows a bunch of potential, even if it doesn't always meet it. I was happily surprised with deeper than expected progression, and great dialogue and relationship building. But playing the game I feel stuck in the past, with visuals from yesteryear meeting good but standard gunplay. The worst part is watching the newest piece, the Annihilation Line DLC, take a step back. The Wolfenstein series does better in this sub-genre, but Terminator: Resistance is still a lot of fun to play, which says something about where it could go if Teyon gets another shot.
