    Syder Arcade is visually incredible and the music and sound effects only add to the atmosphere that it generates.

    Syder Arcade is a beautiful shoot'em up inspired by some classic Amiga 500 titles, like Project X and Uridium 2.

    For the asking price of $7.99, anyone would be hard pressed to find such a quality shmup within reach, especially one which seems to not only to celebrate, but actually relish in the difficult roots which birthed it. Naming itself a love letter to the ’90s, Syder Arcade is a great ride to a glorious, and well earned, death.

    Don’t expect anything fancy. This is a run-of-the-mill arcade style action with no frills and a cool soundtrack.

    While I never owned an Amiga, I have always loved Shoot 'em Up games. The game videos tell everything. This game is well made. The campaign is varied (but haven't finished it yet), the enemies are fun, the controls are sharp (both keyboard and controller), and aside from the nifty graphics filters is a simple no-frills game. But that simplicity is the basis of it's charm. Not the best that I've ever played, but definitely the number one option from steam.… Expand

This game creates a sense of nostalgia and it has over 20 different retro graphic flavors to choose from. This is an old school love letter and everyone should definitely try it.

    Pros: old school flavor, fast paced, nice modern 2.5d visuals, various graphic options ranging from Amiga to C64, survival mode is addicting and fun, 3 space ships to choose from which feel different and unique, music tracks are excellent, No bugs or glitches experienced after 9 hrs of gameplay. Difficulty is just right and challenging (not very easy but also not very hard like some Japanese shmups). You can also choose between 4 difficulty settings.

    Cons: very short with only 6 levels. You will need approx 2 hrs to complete the game It could have use more enemy variation, more bosses and more environments. 2 achievements are impossible to get (you need to score first at the leaderboards)

    PS:Developers support and show love for their game, they talk in (steam) forums with users and they also promised more free content in the future.

I am only rating this so high because it's cheap and has nice graphics ( and no bugs). They really need some dlc's or something.… Expand
