The expansion also enhances your ability to interact with other races – something I’ve given the series criticism for in the past.
-
All in all, Sword of the Stars: A Murder of Crows is a worthwhile expansion to those who are already infatuated with the series, but it doesn't alter things enough to convert non-believers.
-
A Murder of Crows offers some nice new features for vets, but is still pretty complex and unwieldy for newcomers.
-
While it undoubtedly expands the options of the core game and brings in an inventive, engaging race, the lingering interface problems still frustrate out efforts to uncover the undeniable joys to be found inside. Despite its flaws, the game has earned its fans and they will undoubtedly enjoy the added options found here.
-
With two expansions under its belt, Sword of the Stars is finally catching up to its rivals. Galactic Civilizations 2: Twilight of the Arnor is still light years ahead, but on the other hand, Lost Empire: Immortals and Space Empires 5 are now just a stone's throw from here.
