Street Fighter 6 is the new milestone of the genre. A mass of content never seen in fighting games, two distinct single player modes and an experimental and innovative online component. All seasoned with a dry and harmonious combat system, perfectly balanced in every part. Capcom's latest effort is an essential purchase for anyone who wants to approach fighting games. So it's time to put on your kimono and step back into the ring: the King of fighting games is back!

As the series that pioneered fighting games, each new Street Fighter comes with weighty expectations. Street Fighter 6 confidently meets this hype, catering to neophytes and genre veterans by offering the most extensive array of offline offerings the franchise has ever seen alongside a flexible set of core systems and a diverse cast. Between its cohesive aesthetic, the bounty of clever features, and crisp central gameplay, it’s one of the most impressive entries the genre has seen in some time.

Street Fighter 6 simplifies its gameplay systems without losing depth. It allows players to perform moves with just one button, providing a sense of freedom. It also features a replayable single-player mode that will attract casual gamers new to fighting games.

For every great thing Street Fighter 6 does — and there’s a lot of them — there’s some flaw, some annoyance, or a ridiculous microtransaction system. If you’re looking for a 2D fighting game to play online or with your friends, Street Fighter 6 is one of the best around. But almost everything around the fighting itself is flawed in a way it probably shouldn’t be. The fight is all, but we shouldn’t have to deal with all of this other stuff to enjoy it.

Capcom learns from its mistakes and delivers one of the most fun Street Fighter games in the series' history.

It takes a lot to reinvent a 30-plus-year-old franchise while keeping step with tradition, and Capcom has succeeded admirably. Hopefully the still-to-come monetisation schemes are reasonable (details hadn’t been fully announced at the time of writing) and the netcode remains smooth, because the king of fighting games, Street Fighter II Turbo, is on notice: here comes a new challenger.

Street Fighter 6includes everything you could want from a modern fighting game, and the mechanics at the game’s core are complete at the time of release. The World Tour campaign suffers from an uninteresting story and battles that feel like a slog, but overall, Street Fighter 6 will satisfy a wide range of fighting game fans.

Street Fighter 6 is an undisputed masterpiece. From beginner-friendly game design to distinct visual combined with heavy hitting sensation, the overall experience was near perfect. In particular, World Tour mode gives you the unique feeling of Final fight meets GTA, have proved itself as a key content with respect for the original characters, tutorials and fun.

Street Fighter 6 is open like never before, yet balanced enough to leave no one at ringside. In short, the set is superb and we can't wait to see what Capcom has in store for us for the follow-up to this nugget.
  14. Street Fighter 6 is a great game and it erases the bad memories Street Fighter 5 left in our memories. Although the World Tour mode is weaker than I expected, it is a great game that has managed to exceed my expectations in other aspects.

Not content to keep its promises to hardcore gamers, Street Fighter 6 can be a good experience for neophytes. The game does, however, make a few mistakes, some forgivable given that it's a fighting game trying out new genres, or that a balancing patch can fix, and others less so, such as the lack of dubbing in some directions (even though the dubbers are generally good). The game may find it hard to get casual gamers to invest a little more, but whether it's a question of dosing out the online mode or having a good romp, the mission is accomplished and this opus has the weapons to bring everyone together around a complete versus fighting experience.

The new incarnation of the historic Capcom series is exceptional in practically every aspect, a sort of extraordinary "mea culpa" for the problems of its predecessor at launch. The combat system is deep and layered - as well as offering a truly competitive option even for beginners - the tutorials are so complete that they represent a small encyclopedia of the genre, the single player modes will occupy hours of your time without effort, and the online competitive experience seemed more solid than ever. Negligible defects in the World Tour and a balance still to be defined are nothing at all, if faced with a title of this frightening quality.

Minor technical issues and questionable monetisation scuff what is otherwise one of the best fighting games we've seen in the last decade.

Street Fighter 6 is the complete package and offers heaps of content, whether you're competitive or casual. World Tour is a surprisingly strong addition to the single-player experience, and the series has never been more approachable. If you ever wanted to 'get good' at a fighting game but never felt you had the tools, now is the time.

This is the first Street Fighter game in a long time where it feels like players of all skill levels are welcome. While World Tour mode is disappointing, the sheer scope of SF6 means you don’t need to wait for the inevitable Ultra Edition before jumping in.

Street Fighter 6 represents the many lessons that Capcom learned from Street Fighter 5's rough launch. Its option-rich mechanics and community-centric features make it a fighting game that casual and hard-core players should look forward to.

Capcom delivers a delightful fighting game with Street Fighter 6. The gameplay is top notch, the presentation is excellent, the game is well-stocked with modes, the roster is extensive, the online experience is flawless and we could go on and on. Every self-respecting gamer and fighting game enthusiast should get Street Fighter 6.

Street Fighter 6 is a superlative fighting game with its robust online, amazing single-player content, gorgeous visuals, and sublime gameplay. It might be one of the best launch packages for any fighting game ever, and is a game of the year contender.

What speaks volumes about Street Fighter 6, in a sense, is the length of this review. It’s long, and yet I barely feel like I have scratched the surface. World Tour is a slightly ropey debut for a really strong single-player format – but SF6 is ultimately more than the sum of its parts, and the core fighting system alone justifies a high score and a strong recommendation. The previous entry launched with potential, but was racked with problems. This is a worldie from minute one. It’s a must-have. And it might just be the most compelling overall fighting game package of all time.

Street Fighter 6 is the culmination of the experience CAPCOM introduced to the video gaming world back in 1987. With extremely solid gameplay mechanics, a wealth of excellent single-player content that teaches the basics in an extremely fun way, flawless online experience, amazing character design and attention to accessibility, Street Fighter 6 is in a league of its own, and one of the best fighting games in decades.

Street Fighter 6 delivers a deep, complex, and satisfying fighting game bristling with fun new characters and an excellent multiplayer mode. Unfortunately, all of that's shackled to a truly terrible single-player RPG that stands as one of the most embarrassing things Capcom has released in years. If you're here for online play, you'll love it. If you want single-player action, stay far away.

Street Fighter 6 is an exceptional entry in the franchise that reminds me why I love fighting games. Freshly introduced mechanics shake up the familiar dance of previous titles and notably improve the moment-to-moment gameplay. Capcom continues to demonstrate precisely how a team can triumphantly transform established IP. The blood, sweat, and style pouring from nearly every moment in Street Fighter 6 will delight newcomers and veterans alike.

Street Fighter 6 succeeds in its ambition to cram some big things into one fighting game. Battle Hub may be silly, but it has a lot more personality and more to do than most other titles with their own online lobbies. Fighting Ground does a great job of showing off the new roster and improvements to the fighting engine, while placing an equal amount of attention on both offline and online players. World Tour makes for a somewhat nonsensical yet addictive adventure that can serve as a good basis for a full-fledged Street Fighter RPG. All of this is tied together with a presentation that does well in improving what came before it, only with more fidelity and flash. As stated at the beginning of this review, fighting game fans are going to have a good year, and Street Fighter 6 is an excellent component of that.

SFVI’s launch marks an impressive effort by Capcom, having learned from previous failings and while the lackluster World Tour mode and gross battle pass stains an otherwise spotless package, it still shines brightly as the new standard for fighters to come.

There’s something for everyone here. If you’re an old-school Street Fighter player like me, the game is alive and well, waiting for your return. If you’ve never really felt like fighting games were accessible to you, this might just be the game to welcome you in. [Approved]
  3. Although the performance issues take the shine off things, I can still comfortably say Street Fighter 6 is the most fun I’ve ever had with any fighting game on release. After the disastrous launch that was Street Fighter 5, seeing Street Fighter back on top form again just feels right - and I’m extremely excited to see what the next year of content updates can do for a game that already feels this mechanically polished at launch.

this game doesn't feel like street fighter most the time, feels like a react to drive impact mini game, a bit like one of those rhythm gamesthis game doesn't feel like street fighter most the time, feels like a react to drive impact mini game, a bit like one of those rhythm games where you have to react the moment the prompt appears on screen. If you're not good at this mini game you kinda won't be very good at SF6 regardless of how good your normal street fighter fundamentals might be

then you have the honda headbutt and blanka ball spam which turns into a parry the spam mini game, a unique mini game for these 2 braindead characters

then you have JP who's playing mortal kombat within SF so you have the mortal kombat mini game inside of street fighter, enjoy trying to parry that spam too

I mean this game is weird for a street fighter. Just too many bad design choices in general, with combo timing so lenient anyone can be a combo god I just don't get what they were trying to do with this game.
