  • Summary: Play as a hereditary medium with a lifelong interest in technology who, despite her lineage and advanced knowledge of ghosts, has never actually seen one. How is she to carry on with her business as a medium with no connection to the spirit world?

    In a stroke of genius, she uses her technical know-how to invent a device to identify spirits, if they really exist. Unfortunately when she tests her new invention at a session, she summons a real spirit for real and terrifies her client.

    After the incident, the council of mediums bans her from her practice, but when she returns to her shop for the last time to pick up her things, a mysterious figure appears at the door with a contract. He promises big money if she travels around the city finding and catching the ghosts that awakened after she used her device.

    Reasoning that even if this person is just a wealthy fan of the paranormal, she could use the money, and the job seems harmless enough... or does it?
