    This is a short, simple, yet fun game. I'm really glad Obsidian and South Park Studios didn't try to pad this game out with too much filler. Instead, we're treated to what feels like an interactive episode of South Park where you play as a new kid in town with the power to make a lot of friends. This allows you to immerse yourself in the game's world and enjoy all the jokes, classic SouthThis is a short, simple, yet fun game. I'm really glad Obsidian and South Park Studios didn't try to pad this game out with too much filler. Instead, we're treated to what feels like an interactive episode of South Park where you play as a new kid in town with the power to make a lot of friends. This allows you to immerse yourself in the game's world and enjoy all the jokes, classic South Park references, and absolute absurdity of the South Park universe.

    The game plays like your standard turn-based RPG. However, it's certainly much shorter than most games in this genre which might seem a tad unusual, especially for players who are familiar with this genre.

    The graphics are absolutely beautiful, with an animation style on par with the actual show. Apart from one area that is stylized around 80s/90s era RPGs. Overall still impressive nonetheless.

    The soundtrack borrows a lot of tropes from Lord of the Rings as well as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which makes sense considering much of your powers are meant to parody the "shouts" you unlock in Elder Scrolls (this game came out a few years after Skyrim so makes sense I suppose)

    Apart from a slightly clunky blocking system, a lack of much side content, and little difference in your decision whether to join Cartman or Kyle's factions. I'd say this is a great game to sit back and relax with. It's short, it's simple, but at the same time, it's charming, funny, witty, and enjoyable.

    My best recommendation is to buy this game at the sale price and not MSRP as the $30 price tag is a bit steep for such a short game.    … Expand

    Great sense of humor combined with great turn based combat system. If you like South Park, you should play this game.

    +I think this game's story is better than Fractured But Whole.

    I never heard or watch South Park in my whole entire life because it was never shown in my TV channels as a kid until I discovered this game.

    South Park Stick Of Truth is the most derogatory but still a great game to play. South Park maybe South Park by its nature and I am not much of a fan of South Park but there are pros and cons that I can say about this game.     The character creation is very simple and very good for making my South Park protagonist. The combat is absolutely amazing that is both turn based and interacting moves to know how effective its is, the comedy is really good even though there are offensive parts and the animation in the game plays absolutely just like South Park like I am playing a video game while watching TV.

    While they are some very offensive parts like Cartman's faction name which good thing I am from the Philippines. Ally summon assists felt very useless because it won't let me use in boss battles and collection spots like Chinpokomon will always be permanently locked when going to different locations. And a very rude forced name.

    If you are a true South Park fan game then this is one of the great games in the South Park franchise.    … Expand

And there're tons of unpredictability within this game, and if you're some sort of achievement, perfectionist hunter, this game will keep you busy for awhile.

    $60 is a bit too much asking price if I may say. It''s very SHORT. Finished it within 2 days (about 20 hours or so) and there aren't much replayability after you finish the game.

    The game is basically an interactive episode of South Park. Story is funny and if you like South Park I'd recommend the game. If you don't like South Park then I wouldn't get it. The game is short and as a game it's pretty basic. I only encountered one small game freeze while playing. The game is ridiculously easy so don't expect to much from the game side of thing.     It`s hard not to be torn by The Stick of Truth. It is a relatively terrible (J)RPG, with simplistic combat, redundant gear and upgrades, illogical and (temporarily) game breaking mini games, no meaningful class distinctions and more farts than have been in all previous video games combined. Despite all of this you just have to keep playing so you can see it all, and you so want to love itIt`s hard not to be torn by The Stick of Truth. Despite all of this you just have to keep playing so you can see it all, and you so want to love it you forget to even look for what you would normally look for in an RPG. It is offensive, crude and hilariously funny for 15 hours or so, with hundreds of references to the show, all the familiar characters and a funny plot running through it.
    Exploring the map of South Park was a rare joy, so much so that I regularly forgot what it was I was supposed to be doing. There are a lot of puzzles to do, hidden stuff to find, many side quests and collectables to look for, mini games and a perk system of character upgrades linked to the amount of friends you can get on Facebook. Almost everything is a blast on the first play through and the writing up to the usual SP standards. For me the highlight comes early, when Cartman gives you the option of playing either a wizard, a warrior, a thief or a Jew. If only this choice made any difference...

    But it does not. You get four abilities depending on what you choose, but everything else stays the same. And since you are basically perma OP anyway you could probably squeak by without even using most of them. This also makes the combat repetitive and mostly boring, weirdness aside, and it also makes gear almost entirely cosmetic, since you don`t really need it. Some of the mandatory mini games are also amazingly poor and either broken or so poorly translated from Xbox they are essentially impossible to pass, unless you look them up online to discover that the instructions you`re given are misleading, to say the least. Without this help I would have gotten stuck somewhere in the middle and been very annoyed.
    It is a shame that the gameplay doesn`t quite match the quality of the design, writing and satire, in what is in essence an open world South Park not missing a thing from the TV show. But when the best part is exploring the town and talking to all the characters we`re not dealing with a very good game in itself.

    So in conclusion, The Stick of Truth is a must for anyone who likes South Park and is basically a season of content all by itself. It can not be recommended to RPG fans though, unless they also like South Park. And after you`re done with it you`re done, since there is basically no replay value at all.    … Expand

If you're playing on PC, just wait until it goes on sale for $20 or less, as that's around where the value of the content is. My other complaint is that the size and scope of South Park is too small. The South Park map is the size of a small neighborhood, which is underwhelming for an RPG. I know I'm being a bit harsh. but the game is being sold as a full retail game, so the bar is set a bit higher as a result.… Expand

    If you are a South Park fan like me, this is a must buy. It's like being in the most disgusting, offensive and funny episode ever!

    The score is only 7 because it is very short and the combat is quite easy even on hard core.

For a game that has 0 replayability and absolutely horrible combat mechanics, you get away easy with just about anything just because it looks and feels like a South Park episode. Funny how ironic this is considering how South Park makes fun of idiots. Maybe it's a hidden messageThe price tag is absurd.     Visually it's as close as the TV show as you can get.
    Voices are of course the same as the series and great.
    Jokes although not new, still funny.

    Cons:
    The fighting mechanism is so bad I would have preferred just not having any fighting at all.
    Nothing new, almost every joke is just a reference to something that happened in the TV show.

    Mainly my biggest gripe is the saving. I willl save my spot in the game and it refuses to save right where I am at. I am pretty sure this has nothing to do with my computer, and I hope this is patched soon. My roomate tried starting a new game and it does let you have multiple save files but even though i never saved over his file it will magically dissapear, so I think there is some issues technically with the saving system. I will say this is more of an issue if you are sharing the game with a friend or you wanted to create another character but keep your old game.

    The fighting system has some minor snags. The time the "block" icon comes up and when you push the buttons on a hooked up controller, has delay so pretty much just block when something makes contact don't pay attention to the block icon. You just have the time things yourself which is fine but it's irritatiing to have the icon even in the game if you'll never pay attention to it.

    I beat the game on normal difficulty but I highly suggest lowering the difficulty to casual for your first playthrough so you can just enjoy the story and have fun. It gets quite difficult at the very end and instead of laughing with the game I was kind of just glad it was over because of how frustrating the final boss is.

    The story is the glowing part of this game. You will see many characters some you may have not thought about in a long time. I don't want to go too into it, but I will say it's an overall good story. I will be honest and say the ending is not as good as it could have been in a sense that I felt very little pay off for beating the final boss at the end of the main story. It wasn't awful, it was even decent but I think it could have been (should have been) way more over the top like the rest of the game was. A boss fight in the middle of the game is way more of a shocking and interesting moment then the last boss is. I think that's a flaw.

    Anyways I'm glad I played the game and I don't want to come off the wrong way but I did have some issues with it that brought me out of the game. Again lower the difficulty on the first play. Overall I'd give technical parts of the game a 7 and the story an 8 so overall a 7.5 is fair I think. I'd also wait to buy it until it goes on sale unless you just have 60 dollars to drop like I did. I have to salute Obsidian and SP Studios for making a game that looks just like being inside an episode of South Park.     The story is amusing and does its job at establishing the setting and plot while pushing the game toward its conclusion, but it felt less fresh to me after the "The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers" episode and the "Black Friday" trilogy. I understand why they chose it though, it's an RPG and it makes sense to use those themes. Call it a personal bias - in a world as rich as South Park, I would have liked an RPG without elves and zombies, even if they're LARPed or Nazis. They're overused themes in videogames, even if done in parody.

    The combat is alright. The humour in the boys' attacks is great. Their banter between turns and actions was a nice touch. Pretty standard JRPG turn-based combat, nothing revolutionary but fun to play and watch. I did feel like the level cap was too low. I hit max level long before the game ended which made fights less rewarding for two reasons: enemies other than bosses don't drop anything worthwhile and no level/stat progression through gaining XP. There should have been another 5 levels, then it would have felt more complete. Other than that it was pretty good.

    Now for some negative things. Some of the tutorials are confusing or outright misleading, namely learning the fart attacks and the goth dance. The tutorials tell you to do actions that don't correspond to what you actually have to do. The entirety of the game is played with WASD, but for the goth dance you have to use arrow keys without anyone telling you to. The fart attacks say to alternately hold A and D, but you're supposed to tune a pointer to a specific frequency by tapping those buttons, not alternately holding them. This lead to some useless frustration that could have been avoided with better descriptions of what to do.

    The game is WAY WAY WAY too easy. I'm pretty sure you can play through Hardcore without upgrading any perks, abilities or using equipment patches and it would still be a total breeze. This hurts replayability badly. There's only one tough fight in the game and it's not even the last boss.

    The game is also way too short for the pricetag. It can be completed with all sidequests in around 15 hours, less for a more experienced playthrough. For $60 I was hoping for at least a 20-30 hour game. Like I mentioned before, it felt like it needed another 5+ levels, and it definitely could have used another 10 hours of content. $30 would have felt like a fairer price to me.

    Overall, this game is a great experience and filled with Matt and Trey's patented humour. It's probably the best TV show to game adaption I've seen. It has faults, and the pricetag is high, but if you're a big South Park fan you'll want to pick this up sometime, maybe when it's a little cheaper.    … Expand

I had to reload my save a few times due to character flickering or totally disappearing. I also think some of the controls were poorly implemented to pull off attacks (some I found near impossible to get perfect on pc).     The exact moment Eric said this is when I knew this was going to be fun game for me. Why? Because I love South Park. This game feels like another episode that is interactive. People who don't like the South Park series will not like this game because it is the only thing that stands out. The RPG system is very bland. There are no special mechanics that separate this RPG system from anything else. The mechanics of this game may be nothing special, however, the South Park atmosphere (ex. comedy, voices, characters) does make up for it.

    Conclusion: Solely relying on the elements from the South Park series can not make me consider this as a great game. By only having this element, it narrows the audience of this game. I personally enjoyed this game, however, I will not consider it a solid game when it does not appealed to more than just its' fanbase. I give it a ~6.5-7.    … Expand

    Why is it not a perfect score or an 8 or higher?
    First off: It's short. Im talking like 10 hours of gameplay. Dont get me wrong Ive enjoyed all 10 hours I was playing it. But it was really short. I wasn't expecting to put as much time in it as I did with Dark Souls or Skyrim. I hoped I'd be close but no where near. With little decisions to be made to change the ending, there is no real replay value unless you wanna try and snag all the friend requests/Chinpokomon/Side Quests.
    Second: For a game with such simple graphics I encountered quite a few blips. During cut scenes my character would just vanish at times. So NPCs were talking to no one. As well, at the very end, the whole group of guys disappeared during a cutscene leaving only Jimmy in the background looking like the game's video froze.

    It's a pretty good game. $60 worth? Not at all. I would have waited until the price drop if I wasn't so amped to play this. Again it's not a bad game, I loved when the game took us to Canada or going to Tom's Rhinoplasty to look like the Hoff.
    If you love South Park and RPGs and dont mind $60 then by all means go for it. and have fun. If you only like one of the two wait for a price drop    … Expand

    Great game if you like south park would give it 10/10. But with out the aspects from the series i cannot give it that high a score. It's RPG elements are a bit old and slow. All the special attacks take a rly long time to cast. As an RPG a 5/10 so i settle somewhere in between.

    Feels like being in the series, playing while watching if you can put it that way. Its fun when you start playing the game ,but after 1-2 hours it kinda gets boring, in my opinion, i did 75% of the game, and i quit. Its good, but it lacks at the end...

    The game is extremely fun and has an interesting combat system, it's just WAY too easy! I played on hardcore difficulty and had very little problem defeating the opponents. Especially later in the game, the special moves are way too powerful. Would be a 9+ if designers bothered balancing the game better.

RPG's are my favorite type of games and when you put a good show with my favorite type of game I'm going to buy it no matter what. I liked the game and it was funny and you should buy this game really buy it when its on sell.     okay this game is very fun to play and a lot of hilarious moment , but with 59.99 $ Price Tag the game should be playable (a lot of side quest) even the main quest finish.... , the game still great though it's just very easy too finish.....

    Solid game. Little expensive for the content you get. Fun for one play through. Some replayability i suppose if you want to try a different class but only found 1 class to be much fun personally. Some really good jokes as you would expect, but also some really bad/go way to far jokes that you should also expect.

    I bought the game on sale because I like rpg's, love Obsidian games, and because I'd heard it was funny. I'm not a Southpark devotee but appreciate how difficult it is to make a game truly funny. Cartman's quips are laugh-out-loud funny but much of the references are merely smile-worthy. I'm not a Southpark devotee but appreciate how difficult it is to make a game truly funny. Cartman's quips are laugh-out-loud funny but much of the references are merely smile-worthy. I really felt like I was hanging with a bunch of potty-mouthed 12 year olds and I guess that really is the game.

    It's not really an rpg, more like an rpg spoof. Inventory has no weight, etc. But that being said, I really was looking forward to leveling up each time so I could start using more powerful weapons and armor.

    Overall, it's a fun 12 hour romp in the park for $10 but as I'm not really into Southpark, I wouldn't pay more for the game.    … Expand

    While the RPG elements is quite simple, the creativity applied during development is what makes this something to check out, especially if it's on a huge sale.

    Bought the game on sale recently for dirt cheap and got what I expected. It has a surprising Fun combat system but I was disappointed by the lack of any real challenge, even on hardcore. The story was what to be expected from south park, but in a few parts it felt like it was trying too hard. Most of the quests have the same structure and were somewhat boring.     The game’s core attraction is its branding and story; the game shows South Park’s standard quality of humor, for better or for worse. The characters have lots of funny things to say, and the interactions between the main characters – Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and Butters – are all pretty fun. Pretty much every major character from the show makes at least a brief appearance, and Stan’s dad plays a fairly substantial role in the plot.

    That said, while the game can be funny, it also is extremely crude. While South Park is often crude, the game revels in its crudity. The protagonist’s “magic” is his farts, Cartman’s own “spells” are his farts, there is an enormous amount of scatological humor, one of the standard status ailments (which many characters will inflict every battle) causes enemies (or allies, if you’re struck with them) to vomit, the protagonist can **** his pants if he eats too many burritos (which restore your mana)… the list goes on. While ordinarily this would be more of a side thing, this plays a central role in the plot, and using your farts in the world is a major aspect of gameplay. The game also features a visit to the abortion clinic (in a sequence which crosses the line twice), Nazi zombies, full frontal nudity (non-sexual – in fact, deliberately offputting), and a trip up Mr. Slave’s ass. There are a lot of references to sex (though the kids don’t really seem to get them) and, of course, copious amounts of swearing.

    The overall plot itself is kind of nonsense, but it is deliberately so – the kids are making up a plot, while random, weird stuff goes on in town around them. Of course, it is possible that some amount of it is taking place in the children’s imagination, and it isn’t always clear how much of what is going on is real, and how much of it is the game within the game.

    Frankly, this game doesn’t have much for you if you aren’t a fan of South Park, and even if you ARE a fan of the show, if you aren’t a fan of crude humor, this still might be offputting. If you aren’t a fan of the show, this game probably holds little for you, and if you’re easily offended, or don’t like scatological humor, you definitely don’t want to touch this.

    The actual gameplay itself is hit and miss. Actual combat is pretty dull; while early on it is quite difficult, after you’ve gained a few levels and gotten some equipment it becomes progressively easier, until by the end of the game you’re often curbstomping the enemies so quickly they don’t even get the chance to attack. You get summons which can instantly end non-boss battles which just don’t end up being worth using because all of those battles are over so fast, they just don’t have any purpose. Even the bosses are weaklings; most of the bosses can be eliminated in 1-2 rounds of combat, and even the final boss goes down in fairly short order.

    The out of combat stuff is actually okay. You have eight abilities which allow you to interact with the environment in various ways, and they’re used to solve various simple environmental puzzles. While it isn’t anything amazing, it can influence the battles and also allows for a bit more variety than just “run down the halls into combat.” The environmental interaction makes the game feel much more interactive, and without it, I doubt it would even be all that interesting to play. Alas, bypassing the battles is mostly pointless, seeing as they’re so easy anyway, but still, there’s some feeling of satisfaction in taking out every enemy with the scenery when it is possible to do.

    The game is full of sidequests which serve to get the New Kid to wander around town and do more stuff, adding friends on the in-game facebook and gathering equipment and cosmetic items to change your character in-game. Ultimately, though, the game is pretty short; the core story just isn’t very long, so unless you do everything, the game itself is likely to end up being only a bit over 10 hours long. Even 100%ing it as I did stretched it only to about 21 hours of gameplay, and frankly, at that, it was too long.

    There's a good amount of the TV show character voices - you get to meet most of the cast, and they have 2-3 phrases they say, plus they can send you some messages on the in-game facebook equivalent.

    Gameplay wise, this is a lite version of RPG, and while there's a lot of outfits you can wear, all of them are level locked, meaning that you cannot wear all the stuff you find, and after you level up, some stuff becomes totally useless.

    In terms of combat mechanics, the game tries to be an action RPG, but kinda fails at it. You get to use skills and can tap some keys to make your skills better, you tap keys to block. There's armor, shield, maybe 8 different buffs and debuffs, but all of them feel rather extraneous, and even on hardcore mode, most bosses and enemies die in just a few rounds.

    There's a fairly small number of side quests you can complete, and sometimes that requires the use of party members and their special abilities.

    After a few hours, the gameplay gets repetitive, and the challenge disappears. This game is not worth the hype and 60$ price tag. Maybe for 20$ this would be a cool game to play over a weekend.    … Expand

    If you're a hardcore South Park Fan, add an extra point: the game is definitely one of the most faithful games to a franchise I've ever played. Otherwise, if you're an Obsidian Entertainment fan hoping for something deep and meaningful (without jokes about someone's anal cavity), you'll have to look elsewhere.

    The story and humor was great if you were already a south park fan. the gameplay lacked some challenge to say the least, it was fun to get through the story but honestly didn't see the point in making it into a game rather then just make an episode or a movie.

    Game is great for parties but there's not enough content to be considered amazing.

    The main draw of the game is the voice-over and story, which you'll see and hear all of within a day. Most people will probably finish the game around 6-10 hours.

    If you are a southpark fan, this game have lots of things to offer you. Funny scenario, interesting missions and characters etc.. But unfortunately this is not a game, this is an interactive movie which only may satisfy southpark fans. If you ar a southpark fan my score is 9 if not it is hardly 6.

Game is now so difficult that one doesn’t get any enjoyment from it whatsoever which ruins the playing experience entirely.     After finishing up the game and seeing what all I had left to be done. I would like to update my review. The game has too much sexual content like characters showing off their privates. The game is mainly about farting because its the only way to beat it plus its a high attack ratting. It's funny but after five hours of seeing it / hearing it, it gets old. There's a mission or two where it requires jimmy and when he starts to talking, he can't stop studdering and the player cannot skip through it so it's like listening to a broken record player. Uses same jokes more than 10 times.

    I was beginning to think it was going to be worth atleast $30 but now i don't think its even worth 20

    I didnt enjoy that game much. Sure, the beginning is very funny, because the story is funny. But then the boring and arcade gameplay is taking part and the game cant hide their weak sides. The saving system is frustrating too, because it is not free. In addition the graphics is extremely low. After few hours I deinstalled and played another RPG....a real RPG ;)

    Game wouldn't progress after I got grounded, and my last save was about 3 hours earlier. I don't even want to load it because I might just end up back at this same bug. This game is linear enough that the testers should've caught all the gamebreakers. Which is a shame because I got a lot of laughs from tSoT. My advice is to wait a year and buy it on the cheap. Maybe it'll work by then!

    However, my beef is with the fact that at some point it became ok for game developers to charge $60 for a game with no replayability and can be completed in ~10 hours. Why and when did this become ok? I make a policy to average any game score I play with a Zero simply because of this.

    I would rate this game a 8-9 with the only knock being that it's controls are a bit awkward and they don't allow them to be changed. But I cannot, not for 10 hours of gameplay at $60. So you get a 4 and Ubisoft gets another strike in my book.    … Expand

    The controls can seriously get in the way at times (to those having frustration with learning the "spells", keep an eye on the little device that orbits the oval - this was completely non-obvious and frustrating to me until I saw it - and it's not very prominent at all. Later on, there's a dance you have to do with the goth kids that will fail 100% of the time until you realize you have to use the arrow keys instead of the WASD keys the way you play the rest of the game. I only had one quest completely fail on me and it was the first quest, so loading the most recent save point was pretty benign.

    The entire experience is level-ramped, which means that whatever you encounter will be at the right level for you to find it challenging. The problem with rigorous level ramping is that it effectively ends up not mattering whether you level at all. Level ramping feels cheap in an RPG. The gameplay mechanics are very simple, and there is absolutely no replay value.

    It ends up being mildly amusing, which is a real shame, because it starts off being hilarious. The plot is about four of the TV series plotlines stitched together, and it definitely feels like it. The plot ends up feeling like a checklist:" "Did we include aliens? Check. Crab people? Check. Mr. Slave's rectum? Check. The double-cross from the most recent episodes that led up to the release of this game? Check. Al Gore? Check.

    If this were a $20 game, I'd feel it pretty much satisfies, but for $60, I expect a lot more depth, and I certainly don't expect level ramping.    … Expand

    I found myself bored and unamused at how little there was to do. It is possibly worth it if you get it on a massive discount. However, even then I'm just super unimpressed with the lack of effort put into this game. Disregard the positive reviews. They are hype. Sorry, South Park. I do typically enjoy some of your stuff, but this was pretty lame.

But then as i continue to play its still the same, the combat is the most boring thing ever, i could play original Pokemon NES games for hundreds of hours, but i just cannot finish this game because of the boringIn about 5 first hours i had a lot of fun in this game. Over the course of the game, I was disappointed to discover that this game was a disordered collection of clips from old episodes mixed with decent gameplay, and perhaps a single episode's worth of new content. As a long-time fan of the series, the endless references grew tiresome.

    I love South Park, which always been a series which has balanced profanity with profundity, but this game upsets this balance. The best example of this is that when outside of combat, your right-click is a fart button. It does not affect the environment in any way other than causing the person you farted on to say a line of dialogue.

    The episodes leading up to this game's release were an excellent parody of Game of Thrones, so this (combined with my love for Obsidian) led me to believe this game would continue this trend, making it an RPG filled with story-altering choices. This was in no way the case, with only one choice you make even slightly altering the story. This, combined with every class being able to use the same weapons and equipment (with the exception of a few special abilities), makes for a game with limited replayability.

    Now you might be thinking "Wait! This is an RPG, the main story doesn't matter! Side-quests were the star of Skyrim and Fallout!". Well, you're wrong. There are many side-quests in this game, but almost all of them are collectibles or fetch-quests, and even after completing all of these the game is perhaps 14 hours in length.

    One of the most important things in RPGs is a sense of progression and power as your level increases, and while the player is rewarded for leveling up by receiving new special abilities, your enemies level with you so that you're always being challenged. While this may sound good on paper, it means that a feral dog you encounter in the woods after 12 hours of play gives you the same challenge it did the first time you encountered it, in spite of your new weapons and power.

    On top of all of this, the game is an absolute mess on the PC. None of the controls can be altered, and the game has a war going on between the wsad and arrow keys. Walking around, wsad are used, but when scrolling through menus or doing certain special moves (i.e. Jimmy's sleep spell, goth dance) the arrow keys are required. The frame rate is limited to 30 FPS, and your only video option is to change the resolution. I experienced several bugs which required me to load an earlier save, mainly when using ally's special abilities. Luckily, there is an excellent autosave feature.

    Now for the positive side of the review. The game looks exactly like a South Park episodes, with even the most unique special abilities being stylistically consistent with what we've come to expect from the series. The game exists somewhere between 2D and 3D, depending which part of the map you're in. While this normally causes no issue, certain parts of the game appear 2D but actually have a 3D entrance or exit.

    In short, the Stick of Truth feels like a good $20 game, but does not have nearly the writing, length, or playability worthy of a $60 adventure. When it drops down to a reasonable price point, I encourage you to get it, provided you don't mind playing with a controller.    … Expand

    I know it is South Park, but the game has far too much focus on ass jokes with farting, pooping, and anal probing taking such a heavy role, and I couldn't stand it anymore. It kind of feels like playing an interactive season of the show. I have heard the game is a bit short, but I wouldn't know as I never got far enough to finish it.    … Expand

    A great RPG in a bag full of **** Stupid, juvenile, american humour ruins what good intentions Obsidian had while making this game.     well where to start. its not a RPG. your decisions make no change to the game what so ever. there is 0% replay because of this. and asking $60 for a 7 hour game (with all the side quests) is crazy!

    I'm working on a 'mash the s key' simulator of my own. I'm hoping to make a lot of money from it when I sell it to the same people who enjoy this game. What a waste of money.

    A buggy, mediocre mess. Obsidian is notorious for releasing their games 6 months before up to snuff, and this game is no different (remember new vegas on release date? give me a break). The gameplay is boring, the combat is basically final fantasy 1 with quick time events, and for a 2d game, the performance is a joke. Even as a huge south park fan, I had a hard time enjoying this poorA buggy, mediocre mess.     I didn't expect anything from this South Park RPG, but The Stick of Truth is one of the best license games ever made. It's as obnoxious as the TV series, as it should be. The script is made with love and the RPG elements fit in to the franchise like a glove. [March 2014]
