All you've heard of good about this game is absolutely true. The show comes alive before your very eyes. This game is incredible. Trey Parker and Matt Stone did an excellent job of integrating the shows humor and exploration in this game. Although the main quest lacks content there is still side and exploration content. Great RPG and game.

It's very funny and has enjoiable gameplay aspect.
Like other have already stated this game grab every aspect of the show and put it in a good video game, with the addition of new element and characters perfecly in line with the show spirits and humor
To be fair thoug: It's gameplay isn't deep like "hardcore rpg" like Temple of elemental Evil or Dragon Age or but it was not it's intentions.
I will look for other pc videogame from Obsidian Entertainment &South Park Digital Studios

I may have a bias opinion due to my long time love of South Park. However this game was amazing. Good game play, humour you would expect, great open world aspect. You can tell they put their time into a great game rather than just pumping out a game to earn them money. If you're looking for something to play, buy this game. One of the first games ive enjoyed enough to get the 100%.

The game itself is what you would expect of South Park. The game feels as though you are seeing/playing an actual episode of the titular show. Your favorite characters are here including Cartman, Butters, Tweek, Jimmy, Craig, Kenny and more. You start by creating your very own character who is a bit of a blank slate. In true South Park fashion Cartman starts the mud slinging as soon as you give your character a name. Its from this moment that you nod your head knowingly that this is indeed South Park.

You are on a quest to protect the stick of truth and keep it from the hands of the elves. Along the way you will meet meth addicts, aliens and more. Its hard to write a review without spoiling some of the great moments in the game that will put a smile on your face.

Beneath its crass, crude and faithful exterior is a surprising amount of depth in the gameplay itself. You have magic, ranged and melee attacks and find various bits of gear to equip. You have abilities that use PP while others like your fart attacks use mana. The game makes clever use of allowing you to time a counter and block incoming damage. One of my favorite abilities is kicking enemies in the nuts to stun them. Completing sidequests can also net you some powerful summons that you can use as well.

In the end Stick of Truth is not only one of the more faithful licensed games I have played. But it may just be one of the best licensed games I have played. If you are a fan of South Park you are sure to enjoy this adventure. Preorder the sequel and get this one for free.

It feels like an extended movie episode, and it really captures everything people loved about this series for 20 years now. The humor and art is the same, lots of gross-out, offensive, wacky and insane **** flies around in this game, which really brings to up to a hilarious and great status. The callbacks in items, enemies, characters, side-quests will be hilarious to fans and non-fans alike. This game appeals so much to both audiences as I'm sure people unfamiliar with the show will have some hilarious reactions. Scenarios you'll find yourself in the game are hilarious, but I'd hate to spoil them. Just think gingers, Mr. Slave, and sex. The game boasts with classic SP charm, as for the gameplay, and this is coming from someone who cares little for turned based RPGs, is standard, but fun. you have physical attacks, fart magic, special attacks for each class and your buddies (which have some amazing references like kicking the baby, Professor Chaos, and the ending to the 1999 movie). Some items will give you abilities and stat boosts as well. I wish the game's battles were a bit more involved, although everything works here and is pretty equal to traditional RPGs like Paper Mario and older Final Fantasy games. Exploring the town of SP and areas like the sewer and finding characters like Mr. Hankey, the ****ty Wok guy, and others, hearing songs from old episodes, again flexes the shows charm. My only real complaint is that the game could be longer, although I'm sure they wanted to save more the follow-up. (so much hype), as well as the terribly explained fart tutorials. They make sense after a while but the demonstrations early on are pretty atrociously said and might be frustrating to pull off. All in all, this game is worth it just for it being "South Park", although the gameplay is just fine. All in all, a hilarious and very fun game. Expand

The Stick of Truth is an attempt at perfectly recreating the irreverent magic of the television show: it’s a side-scrolling turn-based RPG that looks and sounds identical to an episode of the show.

In the Stick of Truth, you play the new kid in town, and as such, you get to craft your own South Park character. The game gives you the freedom to create a pretty damn good representation of yourself in the classic cardboard South Park style. Your character never speaks throughout the game, a point that actually aids immersion and becomes a running gag throughout the plot.

As expected, you are quickly assimilated into the infamous gang of Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny. The plot largely concerns a small tree branch known as “The Stick of Truth”, which frequently changes hands between the fantasy-clad children of the video game.

You’re quickly let loose to explore the entire town of South Park, Colorado, and the game’s strengths become immediately apparent. The recreation of the town is perfect, crammed with references to episodes and characters from the show. You can spend hours exploring the various houses, shops, and locations in the city, and there are plenty of secrets and gags that await you. Exploration is usually worth it, even aside from the clever humor: you’ll frequently find weapons and items to help you on your journey. The characters you pass around town will frequently say humorous things; the immersion is pretty high, overall.

The game follows a fairly standard quest system. The main quest contains the bulk of the cutscenes and follows the plot of the game, but there are numerous side quests you’ll find throughout your journey. As every quest fits into the context of the preexisting South Park universe, it all feels very necessary to ensure a proper recreation of the show.

The gameplay is a humorous rendition of a standard turn-based fantasy battle system. You utilize melee, ranged, mana-based (all which involved flatulence), and power-based attacks against your foes, and you fight most battles with a buddy (e.g. Butters, Cartman, Kyle) that can be swapped out before/after or during battle. Each buddy has a unique set of powers that you can freely trigger on their turn, and as each opponent will have a unique set of strengths/weaknesses, you will learn how to use each character effectively as you play. The make things even more interesting, many of the power-based attacks involve timed events that you need to execute well to maximize your damage. I rarely found myself getting bored of the streamlined yet engaging combat system, which honestly felt more satisfying than most turn-based RPGs I’ve played.

The variety of powers (based on a standard character class you choose at the start of the game), weapons, armor, etc. you can unlock is pretty staggering. I can’t imagine that any two playthroughs would leave you with the same loadout. While you can only have so many copies of the same item, your inventory is otherwise infinite, a design choice that takes a lot of tedium out of the game. Once again, South Park: The Stick of Truth streamlines gameplay in every respect, and this makes the game move quickly and keeps things interesting.

Besides turn-based battles, the game is chock full of gameplay twists. One quest is a humorously satisfying stealth endeavor. Another quest portrays the country of Canada (of course) as a top-down 8-bit Zelda-like adventure, and this is recreated flawlessly, guaranteed to generate some belly laughs. Many other quests take the nasty vulgarity of the TV show to its extreme, which is a bold statement to make for a game based on the controversial series.

This leads me to confidently proclaim that South Park: The Stick of Truth lives up to the funniest, most intelligent, and best moments in South Park history. The game comes across like a 10-hour top-tier episode of South Park with barely a lull to be encountered. The cutscenes are indistinguishable from scenes from the television show, with the exception of seeing your character embedded in them. If you enjoy South Park at all, this will likely be one of the most humorous video games you will ever play, and you are forced to actively take part in some very graphically questionable moments (usually as quick time events). However, if you don’t enjoy the vile, hard-edged nature of South Park’s jokes, steer clear.

Trying to come up with shortcomings in this game is extremely difficult. One obvious one is that it uses save checkpoints instead of allowing you to save whenever you’d like. This is a minor frustration, however, given how frequent most of the checkpoints are. Other than that, the game is South Park, through and through, and there are very few stand-out moments from the show that are missing here. Even aside from the franchise, the smart, streamlined gameplay elements and amount of exploration content make the game an extremely competent and enjoyable RPG.

This game is a classic. If you haven't played it, I recommend you to do it. As a fan of the show, I loved everything about it. The only problem were the controls... sometimes the game shows you which buttons to press and these aren't the buttons you should be pressing. Everything else was top notch. [STARTING PERSONAL EXPERIENCE:
When going into this game, my hopes were not set as high as fans of the TV show would have had when this game first came out. This is because i tried to play it when it came out and got bored after about 3 hours into it. But i decided to try it again, and for some reason, i really enjoyed it this time.
By the end of it i consider my time well spent playing this game, and got, what i in some ways feel, the experience of being in south park.]

    [MAIN REVIEW NOTES:
The Level Design even the world design portrays the show perfectly and it feels like you at South Park the small town.
The game mechanics(RPG) in this game fits well with the game.
There is a large variety of items in this game, distributed between gear, weapons, and weapons. It even has a great number of customizable items like beards, glasses, and hats. It even got junk items for you to make quite a lot of money from.
The Objectives fits the game perfectly and feels like something the TV series would do if this was an episode of the show instead of a game.
There isn’t really a multiplayer or Co-Op mode in this game. Only the singleplayer, with a well-made story.
The Characters are who you are used to seeing if you are familiar with the TV series, with the exception of your character. There isn't really any need for Character Development as the characters are well known if you know the TV series itself.
The controls are easy to get used to, and pretty straight forward.

The Dialogue really fits this game perfectly, I'm convinced the script for this game was written by the same team that wrote for the TV Series.
The cutscenes are definitely made by the creators of south park.

The graphics are perfect and look exactly like if it was a South Park Episode.
I don't think it uses motion capture for obvious reasons, but the voice-sync is perfect as well.

I encountered no bugs or performance issues during my PlayThrough of this game.

The Story is great, and it really feels like you're watching a South PÅark episode at times. It’s well made and does the game justice in many big ways.

The replayability is good, given that there are 4 classes that you can play. The replayability is there as well. It is a set story tho.]

    "9/10 – Fantastic.
I enthusiastically recommend that you add these games to your to-play list.
As it doesn't hit A Perfect Score, It is an extremely good game.

While you might expect Parker and Stone to write a good story, you might not expect that the gameplay will be fun also. But it is. The combat is an old school RPG turn based classic and while this game certainly does not go in depth with its RPG elements, it offers real pleasant experience throughout. The graphics is classic South Park and so is the music, featuring the best South Park songs. Now to point out some negatives, there certainly are not many. The RPG element is not that well balanced and most combats towards the end of the game might get boring and repetitive, but that is a common problem with most RPG games. One thing I would like to point out is the length of the game, it is not great and specially for a full priced game. However those are pretty minor details, overall I was positively surprised with this game. There are no microtransaction and obviously no SJW crap.

I think many people were surprised just how good this game is all around. Final verdict: 86 %

You can play 4 different classes in the game: warrior, mage, thief and jew. Each class has their own abilities, but the equipment can be worn by any class. Combat is turn-based. Attack moves are button combinations. If done correctly, the attack will do more damage / apply conditions. Attacks can be blocked if the defense button is hit at the proper time. I recommend people to play this game with a controller.

The story is funny, and made me laugh a lot. The only thing that disappointed me was the length of the story. The game left me wanting for more. If you're not willing to pay 60 dollars for it, it's short enough to be beaten in a weekend time.

It's like playing in a very long and well written episode of the show. It combines the absolute hilarity of the show and RPG elements seamlessly. On top of that, you see almost every major and minor character that has ever appeared in the show's history. The same thing goes for the music.

The battle system is simple and boiks down to timing and basic tactics. What i did take issue with was the small scale of the battles. At this moment i have 2 buddies and can only use 1 in battle, which is kind of limiting. It may be so because they wanted to focus the story on the player character as he interacts with the universe, i don't know, i just found it limiting. Everything else is pure South Park gold. You simply owe it to yourself to play this. Expand

Though your party keeps growing and as you learn new attacks or spells the combat gets boring close to the end. The humour though is spot on and much better than the last episodes of the actual series. One of the few times a TV show turned into a great video game. I should give only 7 points because of the combat, but the game is just so much fun.

Fun game with a good storyline. The humor falls flat sometimes but that's to be expected from something like south park. The graphics are exactly the same as a South Park episode. The gameplay is traditionally turn based, but it is too easy, even for non-gamers it's just too easy. I like easy game, but even for me it's too easy. No strategy involved what so ever. A lot of fun though!

Fortunately the script, side-missions and loot, all make this interactive South Park episode into a kind of ok RPG game of sorts. Still I think it's squarely aimed at South Park fans, so I'm not sure I'd recommend it to those who might have a bit of an issue with learning how to launch a fart spell called the Nagasaki, or play as a Jew whose best weapon is called the Sling of David. The third one in particular took me close to 20 minutes to do correctly. Once you learn them, however, they are much easier to use both in and out of battle.

The gameplay is a turn-based rpg which will turn off some people, but I found it engaging and interesting. The characters are unbalanced, ranging from too overpowered (kyle) to useless (kenny). The character you control constantly changes his armor/equipment with armor patches, which keeps the combat interesting. I started off as a jew, but ended up being a 2 handed warrior by the end of the game.

A strong con I feel is that the game is short, took me 10 hours to to beat the game with most of the sidequests completed. Certain sidequests are great (mr hankey's marital problems, al gore) but most of them are the run of the mill kill, collect rpg questss. The main quest is hilarious though, and truly keeps you hooked until the end.

Bottom line, this is a game for fans of the show, or people who can appreciate the crazy humor that south park delivers. I wouldn't say it's worth 60 dollars though, and you should wait for that 20-30 dollar price range.

After the first Minutes of introduction, South Park directly strikes with his trump card.
Basically the hole Game is designed exactly like the TV Series, which gives the player an extra portion of South Park Charme straight from the beginning.
Just as we arrive in the neighbourhood we directly meet Cartman who introduces us to the world and the gameplay.

After some minutes we know the basic mechanics of South Park and are able to work on the quests that are given to us.
    So far so good.

The gameplay mechanics reminds me to titles like Final Fantasy or Heroes of Might an Magic, but with much less complexity.
So there is where the game has obviously its biggest issue: The gameplay is very soft RPG gameplay, that has very funny ideas, but lacks in depth.
So we can find many things as equippment, but in most cases it doesnt really care what calls you are playing with. Especially the Jew Class doesnt find as much things and always builds a mixture of different Items not directly related to the Jew class.

But besides this. South Park completely holds what it has promised. An outrageous story thats typical for South Park and tons of jokes. The story gets more weird the more it progresses and tthe little minigames are just enough fun to at least not get too bored till the end of the game. (10 - 12 hours max).

Technically South Park is a rating of about 6-7/10 but implying that mostly fans will have an interest on this ill give it an 8/10 because with the South Park bonus its worht 1 point more!

There are still some issues and most of them are related to actual game mechanics. Main annoyance for me was the key combos and quick time events required to perform combat moves. As often is the case, these just don't work well on PC. After a while I mostly get used to them, but there were some I failed to do almost every time.

Some of the puzzles can also be a bit annoying. These basically require you to use correct abilities to correct hot spot. Especially early in the game when you don't know how all the abilities and hot spots work, you might get stuck for a while. The main problem here is that game doesn't always explain itself very well and you have to figure out yourself how many game mechanics work.

In the end, these issues are relatively minor and were out-weighted by all the great South Park stuff. The game length was ok. Maybe 15 hours or a bit less on average if you do most of the quests. Less if you just run through the main plot.

(The game references the show extensively. Even stuff that happened during early seasons. If you haven't watched the show I wouldn't recommend this game to you. Also if you're easily disgusted or offended, I'd play something else.)

The only negative aspects of the game is its appeal to only those who enjoy South Park, and its little to no re-playability. There are no class specific weapons or abilities to justify playing it again as a different class. Down to the negatives of the game, I’ll be honest I’m nit picking here. I wish there was more stuff to explore and more stuff to do. I realize that South Park follows the show and all but I think there needs to be more depth to South Park. Some buildings you can enter others you end up walking into one room. Most though you only walk through. The game mechanics I think could use some more effort as most of the time you don’t use half of your abilities simply because you don’t have to or it’s a pain to refill the manna when a good swift slice of weapon will work.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. From early on in the game, you realize that this game is definitely a South Park RPG - not an RPG that features South Park. The game plays much like older SNES RPGs (Mario RPG comes to mind) where battles do not start until your character touches a foe outside of battle in the South Park world.

You play as the "New Kid" or "Douchebag," as Cartman so lovingly puts. You pick between 4 classes (Warrior, Mage, Thief, and Jew). I played through with the Mage for my first playthrough, and it was truly an experience.

Between the magic, the "abilities," and "summons" you can earn, you have quite a bit of choice in how to attack the world head on.

When you first begin, you understand that the game world is the city of South Park. Throughout the game, you go to a couple of places that are featured in the South Park universe, but 90% of the gameplay is in South Park and the different buildings shown in the South Park show. You can enter most of the buildings and "loot" drawers and various cabinets in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms.

All of the RPG elements are here; you have a character that gains experience through the game that opens up ability upgrades. These range from attacks to buffs and open up stronger versions of those abilities. After you defeat enemies, you get consumables, equipment, and junk. 100% of these items are all references from the South Park Universe. Need some health? Have a Snacky Cake and some Cheesy Poof. Want to attack again in one turn? Have some of Tweek's Family Coffee. Want to up your attack and defense? That's right, BEEFCAKE. BEEFCAKE. "Junk" is used for nothing but earning money (which, in the end game, doesn't matter). I had over $900.00 by the time of the end of the game and I rarely bought anything. The equipment, while fun and interesting, is severely lacking. While each class has their "own" weapon, there are probably only 20 weapons in each genre (sword, wand, bow/thrown). What spices this up is the attachments that you can put on your weapons and equipment. These range from gaining PP (heh, PeePee) at the start of every turn, or ignoring enemy armor (which can be ridiculously high). With that being said, the equipment attachments are still lacking; much like the overall equipment pool that you can pull from.

Whereas some people have had glitches and problems playing the game, I only encountered one bug that happened during a cutscene where the sound didn't work. However, for the first hour of playing, my girlfriend's Thief character wasn't allowed to attack in the beginning fights (tutorial fights w/ Cartman). After restarting a couple times, it seems that her character is working perfectly now.

More content issues come from the variety of enemies. Aside from boss fights (which are very, very fun), you only fight the same 10 or 15 types of enemies (Elves, Humans, animals, etc). While all battles are fun and interesting because they can change on a dime, your character is pretty much unstoppable after level 9 (level cap being 16 for usefulness; nothing unlocks after 16).

The side quests are few and far between, but definitely an experience for the South Park fan. Among the magic and abilities, there are a couple of summoning items you can get for completing the side quests (e.g. Jesus, Kim Chee, Mr. Hankey). However, they cannot assist in boss battles and I didn't use them again outside of seeing the ridiculousness of the attack.

Where the game lacks content it makes up in technical mastery. Written by the duo behind the series, the storylines and the voice acting are among the best in the RPG genre. Of course, thankfully, with the graphics being taken directly from the show, the requirements to run this game on the PC are slim. 6gb install and you could run on a toaster (or the 360, hah) and I believe most of that 6gb is audio files because there is a TON of high-quality dialogue.

All in all, South Park: The Stick of Truth is an amazing experience for South Park fans. However, at the $60 pricepoint, the team at Obsidian and the publisher Ubisoft are asking too much for a game that only offers a good 15 hours of gameplay single-player. While there are collectibles (Chinpokemon, "friends" via Facebook in-game), there isn't a ton of content to play through more than once (unless you want to play through all 4 classes). I would definitely recommend this game to South Park fans, but if you're only a casual fan or a fan of RPGs, I would wait until the price comes down because it is a very niche' product - it's a South Park game, you much be a South Park fan to understand all of the references made throughout the game at lengths.

I haven't completed the story, but It's great so far. Funny, intriguing, and using the south park universe's characters perfectly. In addition to complex, strategic battle, the overworld is fun as well, where you're given puzzles and chances to interact with the environment to get collectables or deal environmental kills. This game is just designed beautifully. All of the elements complement each other perfectly.

So, why didn't I give this game a 10? Well, for a few reasons. First of all, the game is short, I've heard that it can be completed in as little as 10 hours. Since this game is so addicting, you'll probably be playing 2hour sessions, so the game will be complete much faster than you'd expect from a game bearing a whopping $60 price tag. Second of all, this game is buggy. I'm sure this will be patched eventually, but I've encountered game breaking bugs 3 times, which forced me to load earlier saves. Buyer beware that the game isn't yet perfect. Finally, the god damned key mashing events. If you have any sort of disability, carpal tunnel, or are just plain slow when tapping buttons, you may not be able to progress further than 2 hours into the game. Mashing the S key is required in both the pooping minigame, and on the alien spaceship. If you can't mash your keyboard EXTREMELY fast, then you may be wasting your money. It took me 10 minutes to successfully pass the alien spaceship scene. The button mashing QuickTime events are by far the hardest part of the game.

Overall, the game will be well worth it once a patch fixes the bugs and key mashing events. But if you can get past those, then there's a really beautiful game here.

I echo every positive comment on here. When I originally received this game, I thought it was going to be a money grab for the company, playing off of the fan base for the show. I was totally wrong. The art work is beautiful, the quests are intelligent, the humor is awesome; all around, it's just an incredible game.

TV or Movie tie-ins are rarely this good. In fact, they're typically stinking piles of crap. Stick of Truth is the exception. It perfectly captures the look and feel of the series, and thank god -- it's just as funny. This game did an amazing job placing you directly inside the world of South Park, the graphics, voice acting and story telling are top notch. However underneath the hood we are given a mediocre RPG system that could have used a few more hours of development.

Very decent game. Not perfect, as I would like more depth in the combat and inventory system, but let's be honest: It was never about these things! In terms of story and sense of humor it feels exactly like a long South Park episode. Animation looks familiar, multiple references to the show itself appear and it's just an extension of what You can watch. Absolutely brilliant for every SP fan!

I didn't have high expectations for this game knowing how previous South Park games were but Obsidian did a fine job with this one. I actually played it through twice since there are different classes you can choose. The story doesn't get affected differently if you play another class. Although it an rpg, it somewhat felt restricted or limited in terms of what you can do and where to go.I didn't have high expectations for this game knowing how previous South Park games were but Obsidian did a fine job with this one. South Park: The Stick of Truth was a lot of fun to play. Not many games out there that are made with the idea of making you laugh so this was a welcome change. This game in a way to me picked up the torch of conkers bad fur day. We need more games that poke fun and parody things so don't miss out on this if your looking for something different.

If you like the tv series you definitely have to play this game. It's just like the show. The only problem I have with this game is that it is a bit short for an RPG.

This game is the perfect blend between video game and cartoon series. The art style and storyline really made it feel like I was playing one big 12-hour long episode of South Park. My main complaint is the lack of replay value. The lack of differences between the classes doesn't promote more than one or two playthroughs. All three classes can equip the same weapons and armor so variations of gameplay are minuscule and nearly non-existent. However, this was an extremely enjoyable game and the perfect blend between video game and cartoon series. Expand

A brilliant (and vulgar) game that mirrors the animated television show's look and humor. there are a few bugs here and there but nothing game-breaking on the PC. even if you're not a South Park fan, you should definitely give this a go. I'm super cereal. (8.5/10)

"Never fart on someone's balls". That is pretty much the gist of it. Obsidian somehow managed to give us the freedom to make our own South Park episode. Let me tell you, it's going to be a weird time.

South Park The Stick of Truth
    A Refreshing RPG
In stick of Truth you play as the new kid, You get to customize this new kid in the beginning, and you’re tasked by your parents to go out and make new friends… You keep track of your new friends via Facebook… When you meet up with the neighborhood kids you find they’re in the middle of an elf vs human war, you start out on the human side

You keep track of your new friends via Facebook…
When you meet up with the neighborhood kids you find they’re in the middle of an elf vs human war, you start out on the human side and get to choose 1 of the varying classes, its then up to you to sabotage the elves and recruit new members for the kingdom
Stick of Truth was a relaxing time but the gameplay for me was just a bit too repetitive..
It didn’t take long for me to get bored with the combat...
This is a turn based rpg where you take turns attacking enemies with potential elemental damage, and effects like bleeding, or gross out…
with a bag on consumables for healing
    Nothing special…
You have mana which is used for fart magic you unlock as your progress through the game, and power points for special moves…
You also have 1 buddy with you when you battle…
Buddies are unlocked with story progression and can be swapped in and out like Pokémon at any time...
There’s a buddy for every ones playstyle or to balance your class out…
So a lot of thought definitely went into balancing this game…
You can also collect new weapons and armor in backpacks, or buy them at shops…
This game pokes fun at the rpg genre throughout, which is the only thing I really found charming here…
I personally found no humor during the combat nor really in the game even though they clearly tried really hard…
Humor is subjective.. I find games like fat princess adventures to be hilarious while others may look at me strange for saying this… but bathroom humor just doesn’t quite tickle my funny bone, though the game did manage to get few laughs out of me... but not necisarily with the ridiculous things going on like giving an abortion to stans dad, or farting all over the place to progress through the levels.. But when the game would sarcastically make fun of itself... these were the best moments for me as someone not really a fan of the TV show…
I feel like you need to be a fan to truly enjoy this and get the belly laughs I’ve heard so much about before playing...
There’s so much fan service here…
The entire town is mapped out and can be freely explored with tons of collectibles…
You can do side quests... search the characters drawers for junk, to sell for some pocket change, collect frustratingly missable collectibles like chimpokomon
It will keep fans of the show entertained for hours…
The biggest mistake I feel this game makes though is the whole having to fart or use these different abilities to progress…
It feels a little awkward switching through fart types, or shooting an object then switching to give commands…
    I could’ve done without this needless slowdown…
Shooting arrows is fine for the collectible aspect or knocking things down in the environment, setting up traps to kill enemies before you get into a battle with them… but I feel like the shrinking, the anal probe thing, and buddy commands got in the way.
While I didn’t get the laughs I expected, I can still appreciate this game for what it is though as a whole…
A well balanced, but repetitive, rpg with a decent story to keep you moving forward..
I give Southpark The Stick of Truth
    an 8/10

The obvious full support and participation of the show creators go far to make this game what it is. I only snatched two points for the price to time ratio ($4.00 an hour is insane) and how easy to beat it can be. Compared to the 80-100+ playing hours of full RPGs and the easy to win factor this is certainly more a JRPG. Those negatives aside, its worth the overprice. This game is a lesson game studios should take note of. I would love to see more of the Final Fantasy type turn based games to sit along side this overdue masterpiece (developers take a hint). More please (=:) Expand

Fantastic little game. A must play for South Park fans. The story is fun and interesting. Combat is engaging enough - I personally love strategic turn based combat. The gags and the jokes are ott as expected and are top notch. Why 8? Too short, a bit simplistic in terms of what one can do and towards the end not very challenging as my character was OP. Enjoy it.

And all of that on top of the incredible humor packed into the entire game ... wow! This game was a joy to play, and the biggest complaint I had was that the PC version of the game had several glitches and bugs--most of which were just noticeable things that didn't *really* disrupt gameplay. However, there were a few that did force me to quit the game at inopportune moments. This was frustruating to say the least. Had it not been for these glitches, I know I would have rated the game higher. But que sera sera. Nevertheless, The Stick of Truth was a ton of fun to play and I would like to replay it in the future, just on a console version of the game. Expand

It was all the more a surprise to me that the game is not just a money changer under the name of a famous serosh, but that it is a really good RPG. You will create your South Park character from the very beginning, which is absolutely brilliant. I really enjoyed creating myself in the graphics of my favorite series. Your character doesn't speak, which I've criticized in many games, but somehow I didn't mind. It's either that I'm a fan of South Park and I simply don't see any mistakes here, or the authors really succeeded in the game. I was also very interested in the story. How to say it. I called myself South Park. It's going to be a lot of fun, but apart from the great one, the story was really great. I swallowed the whole plot and unraveling at the end. This game just combines everything I like. It's an RPG, so you start at zero and gradually improve to a good deal with the best items, there are Nazis, which I, as a Wolfenstein fan, only welcome and for me it is perhaps the best thing in the game and it's all over wrapped in South Park style. But. I love this game. I finished the game on a PC once, but a few years later I bought the sequel The Fractured But Whole on PS4 and I just got The Stick of Truth. I thought that I would repeat the previous one before the newer work, and when I already knew what and how, I thought that I could try to collect all the trophies and I succeeded on the third try. So I went through this game four times together: D Well, just South Park: The Stick of Truth is one of my favorite games ever and I remember it very much. If you love South Park like I do, don't hesitate. This is a clear choice. If you don't need South Park at the moment, I still think that the game is worth considering, because overall, this is a great RPG for me. Expand
