I'll only say it's decent.. good gameplay but way way way to short.. 5 or if it was 6 missions in total.

I'll start from the better aspects of the game. The level design and the atmosphere is fantastic, the amount of paths you can use to complete your contract is great. From CQB to taking out enemies from a long range to sneaking in without killing anyone. The variety of surroind is fine, you have two types of maps: forest and desert like.
The placement of the enemies is very good, I didn't

The placement of the enemies is very good, I didn't have any hard time taking out enemies quietly.
Weapons in the game are decent, there's really no big diffrence between them except the compound bow which is fantastic for quiet approach.
What I really didn't like about the whole game is the acquiring of skill points. To get them you have to complete challenges which sometimes prevent you from completing the contract the way you want.
The detection rate of enemies should be faster because ou can just jump around them like in payday.
The sound from enemy weapons is almost none.
The linear style of the game sometimes feels bad, I really wish they would make a great open world game, for now we have a pretty good sniper game.

I liked the AI, especially when the soldiers tried to search for me and I had to stay hidden, but I don't like the unreal accuracy of their common guns. They are able to shoot at you from 1 kilometer with a normal gun, when it is very hard with my sniper rifle. I also didn't like to leave the area to trigger the autosaving because there is no manual saving option. Only 6 maps so better to kill every single soldier to make the game last a bit. Expand

    My experience with SGW...

I loved 3, that game was such an under rated hidden gem. I Liked contracts 1. It was fun at times and had some cool mechanics, almost, but I missed the open world of 3 and the cohesive story. With that being said, contracts 2 is a mixed bag for me. It doubles down on the single instance map, time. No open world or overarching narrative, but it doesn't improve on

With that being said, contracts 2 is a mixed bag for me. It doubles down on the single instance map, time. No open world or overarching narrative, but it doesn't improve on 2lcontract 1s formula enough (and even gets in it's own way instead.) For example, one of my favorite aspects of contracts 1 and even 3 was the drone and the tagging system. For some reason I am not using my drone or tagging in contracts 2, but it tool me awhile to figure out why. The game has "drone towera" all over that block the drone and other towers that remove your god damn tags. Why even have these mechanics if they are prevented from use so often?

Also the long range sniping essentially pigeon holes hald the missions into a boring, almost 2d like game design. You can't run up buildings or hide behind a dumpster, no hidden paths can be uncovered, no interaction really. You just aim and shoot, occasionally using something ridiculous like "luring" bullets to interact with patrols. The long sniping should be emergent in normal gameplay, like an option to take on a certain mission by setting up further away, but it shouldn't be whole levels. My other complaint is the games length. This felt like a DLC, not only where there only 5 or 6levels, they all feel the exact same because they're all in the same general region of the world. The good stuf...

Classic contracts, that us to say not the ding sniping mission, are still fun. You still get interesting emergent gameplay and a variety of ways to approach a given objective. The slow motion bullet time and brain splatter physics are really cool. Perfect headshots never get old. The guns are very well designe, with realistic looking models and good customizabilit. Also the graphics look excellen, this is triple A level polish and graphics design. All in all it is what it is, prettyfun but a little generic and has some glaring flaws. It's also endlessly fun to shoot people and see the bullet go toward them in slow mo.

In a perfect world they would go back to the days of GW 3 and craft another open world game like far cry, but they're clearly not doing that anymore. So we have what we have, a mediocre game that can quite fun to mess around in, but nothing earth shattering.

"Sniper : Ghost Warrior Contracts" which looks like nothing more but like extremally catted down version of "Sniper : Ghost Warrior 3", and no surprise the new ones is just the previous but with better graphic and well - longer shooting range., but well - it left me with the bitter feel that I am actually missing GW3 with these things.
So far none other (except GW3) sniper game were providing open world map, and probably and very unfortunately we wont see any other soon, because it is just hard to be made such a game.
About the other bitter feel which I got from GWC2 is the practically short gameplay. If I go full Rambo - the gameplay will be like maybe 15 hours or less leaving me with even bitter feel about nowdays lacks of actual long game story and big maps.
If I have to be honest - I were expecting much more than GWC1 + long rang shots on another maps.

If one can stomach the questionable story choices, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 has some of the most engaging sniping action around. Whether a player wants to simply click a button and watch a slo-mo bullet explode a head, or whether they want to be forced to calculate exactly how far an enemy will walk in the one and a half seconds between the bullet leaving the barrel and closing the deadly distance, SGWC2 scales exactly to any level of interest and skill. It may be brutally violent, but it’s an intensely satisfying sniper experience.

The enemy AI needs work and the game’s budget was too low for the developers to polish all the details, but with its spacious environments perfect for extremely long shots (headshots on moving targets from 1500 meters are awesome!) and interesting combat scenarios turning sometimes into puzzle-like situations, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is definitely worth recommending as a well-designed, really fun game. Players of the first Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts game will find this second game an all-around improvement, especially in mission design and pacing. The story is a bland concoction of cultural and military stereotypes but it does a proper job of setting the stage for the action, which can be very satisfying, at least at sniping distance. The less open-world nature of the campaign keeps things moving and the large toybox of gadgets and weapons is there for players to use, or not. I wish Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 had a more engaging set of characters and better action combat outside the sniping mechanics, but the game is a well-made step in the right direction for the franchise.
