  • Summary: Chess, but all your army has gone over to the white side, leaving you with nothing but your royal shotgun and your wounded pride. Carried by your dark folly, you decide it's time to teach those white pieces to fear the Shotgun King.

    Every turn, you may either move your king or shoot at    Chess, but all your army has gone over to the white side, leaving you with nothing but your royal shotgun and your wounded pride. Carried by your dark folly, you decide it's time to teach those white pieces to fear the Shotgun King.

    Every turn, you may either move your king or shoot at enemy pieces, after what you'll need to move again to reload your shotgun. Avoid checkmate and kill the enemy king to complete the floor. After each floor, you may choose between two random combinations of one upgrade for you and one upgrade for the other side. Choose wisely and keep on winning floors and you just may get your kingdom back.

    It’s been done! After thousands of years and countless deaths trying, someone has finally made Chess 2! Shotgun King: The Final Chronicles, winner of Ludum Dare 50, is the vastly improved version of the dated, low-violence game of Chess. It removes most of the pieces from the board, and gives one side a shotgun.

    Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate is a lot of fun. It combines a host of different gameplay styles and traits into a single title in a way that doesn't feel like it clashes with itself. This creates a game that is great to pick up and play for a short break or something longer. But be warned, this game can be hard as nails at the best of times.

    it's a solid 9/10
    the game is kind of centered around luck but has a lot of skill involved
    after
    SPOILER!!!!

    alright you good?

    after killing the white king on floor 12 you can play that again as an even harder version
    even though i have only beat the game 2 times i gotta say the developers are very clever with the
    card design and my favorite by far is the moat because if you can remove the knights and you have a sniper deck it's really good and don't even get me started on the upgrade of the moat

    Tengo que admitir que no me lo he pasado. Pero ya llevo casi 3 horas jugadas y ya he alcanzado el nivel final. Ajedrez 2 es lo más parecido a la transformación estadounidense del juego de mesa.

    Ahora en serio, es muy innovador y bueno. Básicamente, solo eres el rey negro pero con una escopeta y ahí piu piu. Tiene tan solo 12 niveles pero reza para llegar mínimo al 8.

    Es dificilísimo. No solo por que solo eres una pieza contra 8 mínimo, sino porque (aquí lo que creo que es lo mejor del juego) al final de cada nivel, tienes que elegir un par de cartas. Una te beneficia a ti pero la otra beneficia a tu rival. Entonces, tienes que encontrar el punto medio entre mejorarte a ti sin mejorarle mucho al rival. Esto añade un toque estratégico adicional al juego y hace que realmente cada run sea distinta.

    Hay runs en las que he llegado a combatir contra 12 peones pero tenía dos neblinas oscuras entonces podía morirme 2 veces antes del game over y otrqs en las que tenía un peón, 3 alfiles y 3 caballos. Es muy variado.

    Pasando rápido por lo audiovisual, es simple. pero funciona genial. Hay una opción para quitar las líneas que lo hacen parecer un juego retro pero jugadlo de manera normal. Yo no lo juego en sesiones largas, ya que está hecho para un par de runs y ya está.

The way they up he difficulty is by nerfing your character instead of making the enemy stronger. The strongest you will ever become is in easy mode. Hard mode is essentially the same as easy mode, but you get to do less stuff. Usually in games the more you play the more mechanics and abilities you unlock, here they lock your abilities as you progress… hate that part…. Other than that it’s REALLY REALLY FUN!… Expand
