Kind of a mixed bag because main story is very good but other investigations are kind of average, overly long, too much puzzles (thankfully all of them can be skipped just in case something annoys you too much), not as interesting as Crimes and Punishments. But there are some interesting changes in mechanics, more action, some dialogues where you need to reply fast or actions where you need to react quickly, it wasn't really there in previous parts. New look for Holmes and Watson is okay too, I was very skeptical about it but they made it very well. Overall I had a good time but game is quite average at the beginning and gets better with time, certainly not the best way to develop a game, bad start can easily to discourage from playing. I would give it an 8 but it takes too much time for the game to enter the proper level, almost the entire fist half of the game is kind of lackluster. Also giving it an 8 would put it on the same level as The Testament and Crimes and Punishments and I enjoyed them more. Impressive ending parts are not enough to make up the score for entire game.

    Voti:
    - Grafica: 8/10
    - Audio: 7/10
    - Animazioni: 5/10
    - Storie: 8.5/10
    - Gameplay: 5/10 (2/10 dei minigiochi, 8/10 del resto)

Voto finale: 6/10 (se alcune cose fossero diverse avrei dato 7.5/10)

The game is interesting, the part '' research '' is good, the story can involve you, and it's good for fans of Sherlock legend, but has well exceeded charts despite an interesting setting, the game's minigames are horrible, boring and strangers, a game that you do not need to play, but you can if you want.

Decent game, the cases and back story are pretty solid and entertaining but some of the game play and puzzles is a bit boring and non interesting making it a grind at times. Still worth a look.

I would have wished some more consequences from your decicions though. All in all 6/10 slightly above average. Expand

I don't know what to say about this one. It's enjoyable, it has its good moments, but as a Sherlock Holmes game it just doesn't feel right.

Sherlock doesn't always ask all the questions that should logically be asked when interrogating suspects. Some clues are way too "in your face" especially letters that should feel naturally written by characters in the game world, but instead obviously look like text left there by the developers for the sole purpose of pointing out a fact.

The character portrayals are kinda bad, the voice acting is very wooden and the characters themselves are bland and uninteresting. Also the whole daughter plot feels completely unnecessary. I found myself not caring at all about it and annoyed when I found out it's actually the main plot overarching through all cases and even more when it lead into a witch hunting "dramatic" hollywood ending, which felt very unsherlocky.

Technically the optimization isn't bad, but the draw distance is terrible. Textures popping-up everywhere you turn.

In the end I still had fun because it's Sherlock and I really like playing detective.

This is the first Sherlock Holmes game I've played through significantly and I was happily rewarded. The game is full of some mini games some may not be fond of but everything is skipable (at least on normal mode). There are 5 chapters in the game and each their own case. You must solve some puzzles and piece together clues to make a deduction. There are two or more suspects and you must select who is at fault and their fate at the end of each case. This can be challenging and really has you have to think of all the events and make a conclusion.

You can tell this game was made with care and while not a AAA title it does its best and I think the outcome is a game anyone wanting to solve mysteries and crimes would enjoy. The first case has a bit too many mini games (one that is "dog" gone ridiculous) but I suggest anyone turned off at least try the second case. My favorite by far was the last two cases.

My first Sherlock Holmes game and even my first detective-based game. It's a good adventure crime game with involving narrative and dialogues, the deduction and evidences part are very well-programmed and there are some hard puzzles which give you the feeling of being a real detective. Graphics and Environment design are so cool. I can't say same for mechanism of the game.

The game features five separate cases in semi-open world map. Each case has its own good plot but The Temple mission in one of cases was totally nonsense.
And also I expected two different endings for the game but however it was so linear that it forces you to make right decisions!
As far as I know it's only Frogwares that makes these kind of games and it's really good. However there were few problems with the game.
But it's worth playing at least for once.

While the uneven Devil’s Daughter doesn’t reach the heights of previous games in the series, there is enough here to warrant a playthrough and fans can safely add this to their expanding collection of the super sleuth’s adventures.
