If you remember the original Syndicate games, then I should imagine that purchasing Satellite Reign would be a no-brainer, but even for newcomers to the series such as myself, this is a highly recommended purchase.

Satellite Reign is a must-have for those of you who fondly remember the original Syndicate. For those of you looking for a real time tactical Cyberpunk title where you control four agents on the field of battle wielding all manner of awesome, then this is really worth a look.

A well-done revival of Syndicate for real-time strategists with strong nerves. Brains and coordination triumph over fast clicking.

Satellite Reign offers a very solid set of mechanics and the four specialists are clearly designed to allow players to approach almost all situations in a variety of ways, able to create big gun battles or to always move without altering anyone to their presence.

A great game and a true spiritual successor of Syndicate Wars, which makes you think how come aren’t there more titles like this one out there. With a lot of freedom of action and progression, it could be a bit repetitive on occasion, but you can always face situations in multiple ways.

Fans of the original Syndicate, this is for you. The narrative side is really weak, but gameplay wise it's a great strategic experience.

No characters stand out to give the game verve, and Dracogenics does nothing to inspire efforts to take it down. [Oct 2015, p.118]

Sometimes spiritual successors are a little pale in comparison to their original inspiration, but not this game.

It is a marked improvement over the original games and I am much appreciated that it was made. It brought back the same sort of enjoyment I had playing those games when they originally came out in the 90's, except it's augmented for the modern era. Great fun!

Now, with the addition of Online Co-Op, this game is AWESOME!!

Single-player is good. The sprawling city is beautifully detailed, the missions many and varied and the stealth / hacking / gunplay tactical choices are solid and well-designed. But let me be clear - playing the entire campaign cooperatively with a friend (or three) adds entirely new approaches to planning missions, extra layers of tactical depth and a whole lot of fun!! 9/10 Highly recommend!

Instead of just 4 super soldiers you now have 4 agents and each has a role and a specific set of skills, some passive, some active which is a nice evolution.
It's also has hard as balls.

Soon after the release I picked it up and wass hugely disappoined. I gave the game a lowly 4/10 and pointed out that the game was full of bugs and poorly optimized. Just last week I saw that Satellite Reign received a series of updates that fixed some of the problems that annoyed me from the begining and I decided to give it another try. And even though the game is still flawed in many ways, it has been fixed enough to be playable and enjoyable. At this time, if you're looking for a cyberpunk treat, you might want to give this one a try. It is still full of questionable solutions when it comes to gameplay and story, but at least it is enough of a decent game to try it out. Expand

No drivable cars, no environmental destruction, no 'weird/crazy' weapons/gadgets like Syndicate, semi personalised characters, no 'world'No drivable cars, no environmental destruction, no 'weird/crazy' weapons/gadgets like Syndicate, semi personalised characters, no 'world' domination... group feels like petty armed thugs running around the streets killing and stealing with no purpose, no home base (do they camp out on the streets?) not some organised, professional group fighting for or bringing down mega corps.... etc etc.

    - AI is horrible and frustrating.
    - Weapons are boring and simple and seriously lack diversity.
    - Augmentations are weak in terms of diversity/types.
    - Cities feel hollow and dead with 'things moving around (its not a living city)
    - My 'agents' have personality which is not what a cyborg should be, it should be a stock base for me to build on not some pre defined archetype that I can edit in a limited way.

I want to love it but imo SR badly missed the mark.
