May 4, 2025Rise of Rebellion comes off as an ambitious but still very raw and unfinished project, held back by technical issues and an overall lack of polish. The gap between the demo and the final release reveals flaws that are hard to ignore. Still, there's undeniable potential here, thanks to a combat system that introduces directional parries and dodges. With more development time, it could have truly shined in the soulslike landscape. As it stands, it's a missed opportunity for the genre's more demanding fans.
