Mar 16, 2026Like many modern entries in the series, it occasionally struggles with pacing and an overemphasis on action in its later moments, but those issues are easy to forgive thanks to its confident blend of survival horror and spectacle. As the story unfolds, the tension builds around its vulnerable protagonist and the eerie environments that surround her, creating a sense of dread that feels both familiar and refreshed. Resident Evil Requiem may not radically reinvent the franchise, but it successfully captures the spirit that made the series iconic, delivering a thrilling horror experience that longtime fans have been waiting for.
-
Feb 26, 2026Resident Evil Requiem has everything fans have come to love from the series, combining two very different styles of game into one experience to enjoy. The story is rich, the characters are excellent, and the scares are outstanding, making for what is now likely this Resident Evil devotee’s favorite game in the franchise.
-
Feb 25, 2026Easily the best Resident Evil game in many years, with inspirations from both RE2’s survival horror and RE4’s more action horror. Paced perfectly, and with plenty of surprises to discover, I can’t recommend Resident Evil Requiem highly enough.
-
Feb 25, 2026Capcom marks Resident Evil's 30th anniversary with a stellar return that's both a masterful bit of suffocating horror and a nostalgic, fan-thrilling victory lap for the legendary series.

Mar 2, 2026Having 2 main protagonists with such a different game style was a bold choice, but Capcom nailed it. Resident Evil Requiem feels not only a refreshing take on the Resident Evil series, but it also manages to add some interesting lore, along with offering us a great blend of horror and action. There are plenty of jaw-dropping moments, along with fan service and two endings that will certainly make you think what will happen next. And although I played every Resident Evil until Requiem, I didn’t know how Grace would fit in, considering how expansive the series had become. She is a stellar addition to the series, and having Leon back was definitely a blast. All in all, Resident Evil Requiem is an excellent game, a stunning entry for the series and it will keep you glued to the screen no matter if you’re killing enemies as Leon or experiencing true survival horror as Grace.
-
Feb 25, 2026Resident Evil Requiem is a bold, confident “greatest hits” entry that combines pure survival horror and high-octane action into one cohesive experience. Capcom successfully balances fear and power through two contrasting campaigns, backed by strong enemy design, deeper progression systems, and excellent technical performance powered by the RE Engine. Despite being densely packed and occasionally overwhelming, the game stands as a triumphant celebration of the series’ 30-year legacy rather than a farewell.
-
Mar 12, 2026Resident Evil Requiem is not a eulogy for the series, but a celebration of it, with all the elements that made it great. It is Capcom's gift to all Resident Evil fans. For those of us who have an emotional attachment to it, it can convey so much more...
-
Mar 10, 2026Resident Evil: Requiem combines survival and combat elements, offering players atmospheric locations, interesting new characters, and new monsters. At the same time, the new installment brings back old characters, monsters, and mechanics that are now even more refined and get a second life.
-
Feb 25, 2026Resident Evil Requiem sets itself out with a hard task: wrapping all the best elements of previous Resident Evil games into one. Miraculously it succeeds, with very few moments which left me wanting more.
-
Feb 25, 2026Resident Evil Requiem may not be perfect, but it is more than strong enough. It successfully brings together the series' survival tension and action elements, supported by solid sandbox style level design and improved combat mechanics that offer strong replay value.
-
Mar 20, 2026Resident Evil Requiem delivers a masterful blend of classic survival horror and cutting-edge technology, cementing its place as an immersive entry in the franchise. Despite minor pacing issues in the early game, the title's breathtaking visual fidelity offers an unmissable experience that justifies its premium status. An undeniable must-have for fans.
-
Feb 25, 2026Resident Evil 9 sets a new standard for modern survival horror and is currently one of the most visually stunning games available on PC.
-
Mar 2, 2026Overall, Resident Evil Requiem is one of the series’ best outings in recent years. Delivering on the action and scares, the game shows what makes the franchise so special. It can fall into the trap of fan service, but never falters much in what it sets out to do. Yes, it’s February and, yes, it is cliché, but Requiem is already one of 2026’s best and an experience that fans and newcomers won’t be able to get enough of.

Mar 1, 2026Resident Evil Requiem is one of the series’ best outings in recent years. Delivering on the action and scares, the game shows what makes the franchise so special. Feb 25, 2026Resident Evil Requiem blends classic survival horror with modern action through two playable characters, strong atmosphere, refined mechanics, and satisfying combat and puzzles for fans and newcomers alike.
-
Feb 25, 2026Resident Evil Requiem is a spectacular return, expertly blending classic horror with modern action starring Leon and Grace. It boasts incredible design, fantastic visuals, and superb optimization. While it lacks classic puzzles and mission variety, these minor flaws are easily overshadowed by its compelling narrative, excellent pacing, and genuine fan service, carving an exciting future for the series.
-
Feb 25, 2026Resident Evil Requiem is a game that uses the full history of the series and creates one of the most stellar gaming experiences I’ve come across for a long time.
-
Feb 25, 2026An experienced veteran joins forces with a young FBI agent in a story that is sure to keep players on the edge of their seats. The two main characters offer two distinctly different types of gameplay. Survival, stealth, exploration and puzzles confront straightforward action.
-
Feb 25, 2026Resident Evil Requiem is a superb entry in the series and feels like a ‘best of’ at times with the persistent Easter eggs, references, and gameplay callbacks to the full range of earlier games. There is a vast amount of wider lore for fans of that part of Capcom’s legendary titles, but even newcomers will be caught up in the narrative and balls to the wall gameplay. RE Requiem is up there with the very best of the series.
-
Feb 25, 2026Thirty years of Resident Evil are condensed into the fifteen hours or so of Requiem, which in itself is quite a feat for Capcom. Frightening with Grace, stressful with Leon, RE9 offers two diametrically opposed perspectives for an explosive cocktail that leaves a strong impression. It's a shame, however, that its final act feels “unfinished,” leaving a bitter aftertaste once the credits roll.
-
Feb 25, 2026With Requiem, the grand finale is complete: Capcom unites all fans of its saga in a bloody communion, whether they prefer first-person horror or over-the-shoulder action. Capitalizing on fan service, this Resident Evil resurrects the dead as much as memories, but could it have been otherwise with Leon confronted by his eternal demons? Admittedly, Requiem rehashes old ideas, but it brilliantly succeeds in its gamble of delivering two games in one, even if the story is once again a flimsy excuse for all sorts of extravagances. Beautiful, generous, well-paced, comprehensive, and designed to satisfy longtime fans, Resident Evil Requiem is devoured like a rich, over-the-top compilation with extra ketchup.
-
Feb 25, 2026What could’ve easily been an inconsistent mess ends up as one of the best modern Resident Evils: Requiem handles both horror and action as well as former, more focused entries, and it knows just when to switch perspectives. Especially those who’ve stuck with the series throughout its multiple identity changes and enjoyed the games for what they were will have a blast with this.
-
Feb 25, 2026Resident Evil Requiem succeeds in breathing new life into the series rather than relying on nostalgia. The nostalgic elements, updated gameplay mechanics, the ease of playing from different perspectives, and the surprises combine to create a Resident Evil storm that will keep you glued to your seat for hours. But I must add this: Those expecting the revolutionary change Resident Evil 7 brought may not find what they're looking for.

Feb 25, 2026Resident Evil Requiem is two games in one, and both are among the best you're going to see in 2026. It perfectly combines the horror of Resident Evil 7 with the action of Resident Evil 4. [Recommended]

Feb 25, 2026I sank deep into Requiem when it was purposefully managing this tension vs purge dynamic. Grace’s elongated bouts of slow-paced stealth while hoarding ammo, evading ghouls and hiding from ceiling-dwelling abominations were like teetering on a precarious sheet of glass that I always just managed to scarper across. Leon’s brief symphonies of gory carnage were like taking a hammer to that glass. They complement each other so well. When Leon starts to dominate the game, there’s still fun to be had in spite of the dragging plot, but trudging through the darkest depths of Rhodes Hill is worth the price of admission alone. If that’s a glimpse at the future of Resident Evil, I want a bigger portion that I can really sink my teeth into.
