If you're searching for a game to play with friends, Remnant 2 can provide an entertaining experience, but you should consider other options if you want a game to play alone. Although the graphics and storyline may not be awe-inspiring, the dynamic generation feature turns Remnant 2 into a game you and your friends can enjoy for an extended period, resulting in one of the most replayable games of the year. Still, I was disappointed with the long-awaited sequel due to frustrating character mechanics, outdated visuals, and lack of a compelling story to connect with.

Emboldened by the well deserved praise earned by its predecessor, Remnant 2 presents itself as both a refinement exercise and a sequel that dares take it deeper into its intertwixted worlds. Offering satisfying combat, 1st minute-ready buildcrafting systems and heavily improved looks thanks to the Unreal Engine 5 port, the game brainstorms some of the best action-RPG experiences you can find in 2023. It's not perfect though, as some really unique systems from the first game (say consumables for instance) have been but erased due to a disagreeable interest for scarcity: fun stuff is locked hard behind in-game currencies and it'll take you a long while to fill up your pockets. I’m over the post-apocalypse, and it’s going to take one hell of a game to get me interested in such a bleak setting for the foreseeable future. Remnant 2 is not that game.
  3. Every aspect of Remnant II is excellent, and I've only just scratched the surface. If you're up for round two, you can "re-roll" the campaign, which completely rebuilds the game with a random collection of areas and bosses. You also have the ability to reroll planets if you wish, for those who just want an extra dose of their favourite area. Remnant II doubles down on everything its successor did, and the result is an incredible achievement. I’ll be playing it regularly for years to come. [RPS Bestest Bests]

The game works just fine at 60-80fps, thats true, everything else that those people say its just **** from yt videos. Truth is, that this is more Remnant 1, bigger, more mechanics, more bosses, everything to a bigger scale, more classes, guns, secrets, side quests as interesting as the main quest, multiple paths on most missions, more secrets and randomization at every reroll that makes the game more replayable... People that vote 1 its just stupid review bombing Full Review »

Some minor issues like frame rate drops in some areas and game bugs could be fixed in the future. Give me cross-play and Survival Mode and I'm giving this game 10/10. Full Review »
