    i wish i could say that i enjoy this game, i wish i could. but even if i wanted to, i couldn't see a single 60fps frame. my pc isn't weak, it can run most modern games at 1080p medium 30, but this relatively old game, that isn't all too techincally impressive, can't run at 720p low 60.
    frick this game, wish it was better, it looks kinda fun. shame i cant play it

    Can't even start the game. The Game starts and my browser opens a website to epic games where I have to login to epic games , even when I started the game trough the epic launcher. After the login I get a "Fatal Error" Message.

    So this is an excellent game but it leaves me with a vague feeling of having been 'milked' by clever but cynical devs who treat the game purely as a cash cow rather than a labour of love. That feeling is what I want to delve into here, so let's dispense with the 'pros' quickly:

    * Redout is a slick, hyperfast racer. * Beautiful, varied graphics that deliberately and shrewdly trade    So this is an excellent game but it leaves me with a vague feeling of having been 'milked' by clever but cynical devs who treat the game purely as a cash cow rather than a labour of love. That feeling is what I want to delve into here, so let's dispense with the 'pros' quickly:

    * Redout is a slick, hyperfast racer.
    * Beautiful, varied graphics that deliberately and shrewdly trade realism and detail for speed and vividness.
    * There's a lot of content here: The tracks are a lot longer than in recent Wipeout franchise games; 5 tracks per 'world'; 5 'worlds' in the base game and 7 spread across the DLCs. The worlds are richly diverse in appearance. The gameplay doesn't change very much between them, except for the introduction of zero-G and low-G tracks featuring stupendously long jumps.
    * As expected there are a variety of different craft to fly with and different game modes.
    * The physics is good enough for the game's needs. The controls are responsive.
    * Excellent music and sound effects.

    So what's bothering me exactly? A bunch of relatively minor things that compound on themselves producing the feeling I began with:

    * Consider the career mode, which ought to be heart of the single player game. This is really badly designed: all the events are in one giant pool, and they're unlocked in a linear fashion, one batch at a time. Unlocking them is too easy and too fast, so you end up feeling lost in a vast 'haystack' of totally random events none of which really matter.

    * Also, the interplay between the ship selection and configuration screen and the event selection screen is extremely poorly thought out: For instance, Redout shouldn't make it *possible*, when preparing for a class 3 event, to be reconfiguring a class 4 ship only to be told (once you're done reconfiguring) that you're not allowed to use it. Also, if you ever want to go back and improve your time on an old event (which is something you'll definitely want to do once you discover platinum medals) then the game makes this stupefyingly inconvenient: you have to navigate the event haystack looking for the needle you want, and then having found it and flown it once, if you then try to reconfigure your ship Redout will assume you wanted to fly a different event instead and you'll have to find the needle in the haystack all over again.

    What strikes me about many of these points is that *if the devs and/or playtesters had bothered to play the game* for more than a few hours each they'd have noticed this and fixed it. Seemingly they didn't care to.

    * Having DLC events interspersed throughout the 'haystack' rather than grouped separately seems like a particularly crafty way of littering the game with advertisements for its DLC. Yet this ruins the "OCD appeal" of seeing a nice chain of gold medals, and prevents you from seeing the DLC as its own self-contained challenge with a beginning, middle and end.

    * Given that you almost never want to release the accelerator, why not at least have the option to the keep this floored without constantly pulling the trigger on your controller? (Actually it is possible to hack this together using Steam's controller configurations, but this is sufficiently obscure and complicated that most players will never do it.) Again, if they'd bothered to play their own game for a bit...

    * The 'combat' aspect of the game is poorly implemented and ought to have been dispensed with entirely.

    * Once you start to feel like you know what you're doing, the AI becomes a joke - you'll win every race by a mile. (Though the time-based events are still challenging.)

    Perhaps the easiest way of seeing what's wrong with Redout would be to compare it with its antithesis, which would be BallisticNG. Where Redout feels soulless and greedy, BallisticNG is overflowing with content, has well designed single player campaigns, it expects you to 'get good', and it doesn't whore its DLCs so flagrantly.    … Expand

    - Almost no advanced strategy is explained anywhere by the developers.
    - Even some of the basic features - like upgrading your hull - almost require a visual aid because they're difficult to spot for a newcomer.
    - ...to the point that it can actually be difficult to win some of the early events because you just didn't know what to do.
    - "Skin deep" concept. Sure making a new Wipeout is cool, but there's basically only one thing to do - go real fast - and aside from competing online against friends there's not really anything more to find here. Once you beat all the tracks including the "boss" tracks, you'll have seen all there is to see.

    Overall you can see why this is a frustrating game for some. If you bought the "wrong" starting ship or got the "wrong" upgrades, you'll quickly feel uncompetitive even in the Campaign mode. You may even have to restart a couple times until you hit on the right combo. And even then, most people don't spot features like hull upgrades. Even if you did, you'd better have picked the right hull to be spending your credits on! It's a little silly. The devs should have bothered to go back and patch in some hints, along with some buffs so the ships would be at least a little more balanced. There are a few ships and powerups that are just straight-up bad choices, and you shouldn't ever select them except as a joke.

    Advanced strategies not explained:
    - The physics intentionally make it faster to bump into walls to help you turn, taking a little damage, than to avoid the walls. The fastest players are constantly scraping the rail to make tight turns.
    - There's a way to drift the ships to make hairpin turns - not explained anywhere (strafe opposite of the turn for a moment, steer into the corner, then quickly strafe in the same direction as the corner).
    - Some ships are much better than others. Leaderboards are dominated by the Sulha and sometimes the Asera, with Augmented Propeller + Turbo Boost upgrade. At the very least, these are "advanced" ships. Most beginners will prefer to learn with the more well-rounded ESA, and AugProp + Repair Drones will get you through a good bit of career while you learn to go easy on the walls. These are honestly the only 3 ships you need to consider. A couple more are competitive early on in career, but that's it.    … Expand

    I've found lots to love about this title. - Redout absolutely nails the feeling of    Redout is the single best racing game I have ever played. The music, tight controls, and visuals all combine with fantastic track design to deliver, in my opinion, an unmatched racing experience.

    I've found lots to love about this title.

    - Redout absolutely nails the feeling of speed. Through visual effects, scale, music, and the lack of friction, I feel like I'm piloting something truly from the future.

    - The verticality of the tracks adds an extra element of excitement. All of the jumps and loops serves to disorientate me just enough to add another layer of fun.

    - The game is balanced well and provides a very large skill ceiling to reach for. The decision to not include pickups on the track puts a welcome emphasis on handling skill and track knowledge.

    - The Soundtrack is fantastic. The music in every area is unique and well suited to the various levels I raced through. I only wish there was more of it.

    I only have a few gripes.

    - Most futuristic racing games use a cityscape as the background for some tracks. Grip and Wipeout have their respective levels, and F-Zero has Mute City, Port Town, and Casino Palace in GX. Redout comes close with Cairo and the crashed colony ship in Rotorua, but these don't compare to the bustling ecumenopoleis of other games. Redout's lore states that the majority of the human population lives on Titan, so there's probably room for one more piece of DLC.

    - The music transition after the Vishnu Blaster is a little rough. This is the only track where I have found this issue.

    - After 100+ hours, the AI has become ridiculously easy to defeat. Even on the highest difficulty, they make predictable, exploitable mistakes. Instead, I've found challenge in climbing the leaderboards. I just wish Redout had something like a "Master" mode to make the opponents smarter.

    - Given the verticality of Redout's tracks, I believe trying to play this in VR would be hell on earth, but I don't own my own headset to verify this hypothesis.

    In conclusion, I love Redout. It's one of the best titles I've ever played, second only to Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. I'd love to give this game a ten, but I need to maintain some semblance of objectivity - the AI issue probably warrants a one point deduction.

    I would like to note that I've spent a veritable fortune on this game and its add-ons, and I'm still asking for more DLC. I hope this statement carries a little extra weight considering I oppose post-launch monetization in almost every case.    … Expand

    Not Perfect, but Pretty Solid

    Okay this game actually thrills me everytime i played it. From many racing games, this one is my favorite. Pros: +Easy to learn, hard to master +Some kind of different sensation of speed when you play, it's different than most AG racing +Super music quality, made in 5.1 and pretty crazy, felt like playing in lossless format +Kinda balanced and allow    Not Perfect, but Pretty Solid

    This is a review of the VR mode:

    It's not quite as good as Wipeout on the PSVR and the courses feel less 3D than some other VR titles. That being said, it is still a fantastic game, with lots of content. Hours of gameplay, and a good difficulty curve. Especially if you don't have PSVR, this is an essential VR purchase.

    Amazing visuals, great tracks still not fully used to the steering scheme though and quite demanding for most systems. Looking forward to how they will bring this to the Switch.

    During almost a decade since I last played Need For Speed: Underground, I became mostly an RPG-oriented gamer and thought that nothing can bring me back to racing genre at all.
    I tried more than 10 different racing titles since that days, but nothing was able to hook me more than for a day.
    But recently I, absolutely accidentially stumbled upon a game I somehow missed year and a half ago    During almost a decade since I last played Need For Speed: Underground, I became mostly an RPG-oriented gamer and thought that nothing can bring me back to racing genre at all.
    I tried more than 10 different racing titles since that days, but nothing was able to hook me more than for a day.
    But recently I, absolutely accidentially stumbled upon a game I somehow missed year and a half ago and now I want to prevent you guys from making a same mistake, because this game is something amazing.
    It's such type of game that hooks your attention from the very first minutes, not caring about what game types you are playing. Once you press this gas pedal, there's no way back. And this game is called Redout.

    Redout is a representative of AG racing genre, or, simply said - futuristic racing, inspired by such a legendary games like F-Zero and Wipeout that most of us played on Nintendo and old playstation and sega consoles. But, while humbly keeping the terms of AG racing canon, Redout, I will not be afraid to say that, is nextgen and absolutely revolutionary.
    What makes it so is actually very simple. Developers retained the classic AG racing atmosphere, added amazing graphics made on monstrous Unreal Engine 4, insanely realistic physics, supersensitive and unbelieveably responsive controls, greatly fitting techno music and to be sure you really never get bored - spiced the gameplay with more than 100 events, tons of your hovercars upgrades and powerups and more than 10 different race types - from classic race or time run, up to survival mode where racing track is swarmed by mines and boss challenge races.

    Game has maybe one of the most realistic physics I saw in racing games - each turn, braking and acceleration, each your tiniest drift applies according force to your car.
    During the couple of first races I was collecting each road turn and was so angry on myself and on the game, just to realize 5 minutes later I was silly enough to start playing new game fropm a quick race instead of instructing one.
    The thing is Redout offers a unique feature in controlling your hovercar - besides usual turns, break and acceleration, your ship can STRAFE, even in midair - meaning the microcontrol of your car mass and force that is applied to it. Together with regular steering, this control system gives you such an immersive controlling feeling that car physics is starting literally flowing through you. And of course, it helps you to pass even the hardest turns without crashing. This system also greatly improves the futuristic feeling on constant high speed - because using both of these controls wisely, you soon realize that one of the main Redout rules before the hard turn - is NOT to press a break pedal, but dive into it, precisely controlling your ship without slowing down.

    Another thing that game is gloriously and defiantly challenging is GRAVITATION itself. Many planets you will race on have such a ridiculously unusual tracks that you often will fly across huge abysses, shorten your way flying over the turns using springboards. Sometimes you can even find yourself entered the portal and second after, flying over the planet itself almost in open space, returning back to the planetary part of the track by enterting another portal. This said, you can strafe not only sideways, but also tilt your car up and down to reach maximum ergonomics and minimum car damage when landing.

    Graphics are adding to whole previously named details, showing you absolutely fantastic, surreal and sometimes I'd say even phantasmagoric landscapes and tracks design, accompanied simply unmatchable aesthetics and great shaders and greatly fitting techno soundtrack on top of that. Besides that, it's greatly optimized as well - my GTX 980 was able to maintain stable 60FPS at 4k resoution and the only reason I uploaded this video in 2k is just becuase my GPU renders 4k insanely long. Well. Just take a look on this.

    It's hard to believe this game was done by an indie studio. Breathtakingly beautiful, furiously fast, easy to learn and hard to master at the same time, with a great replayability, Redout is definitely one of the best, if not the best AG racing games ever released during the last decade. It will fly you to the moon and back, and in many other corners of galaxy on the lighting speed with greatly implemented physics. But no game is perfect, and Redout has it's own drawback as well - you simply can't stop playing. 9.5 out of 10, deducting 0.5 points for beeing too damn good.    … Expand

    - The gameplay although solid and good, suffers because of the track design. I've progressed half the campaign mode and I've noticed that many tracks are just a random sequence of turns here and there... It's not impossible to play or win but you need to learn the tracks very well and practice again and again. Not fun for a game...
    In the game there's a campaign mode that you progress to earn credits and unlock new tracks (apart from dlc content). There are two types of add ons, one offensive and one defensive which you choose before the race (which are also unlocked using the credits earned). The offensive can be used once the energy bar is full or use a speed boost. There's also a split-screen mode but it doesn't save the day...
    I could recommend the game at 15eu but not at the present price. More than that I'm hesitant to recommend it after the 1.2 patch gfx...

    There are much better Wipeout alternatives out there    … Expand

    Redout provides great feeling of speed that other, more grounded in reality racing games can't achieve. Endgame vehicles with upgraded speed and turbo acceleration move as fast as a plane while still being able to maneuver.

    Make no mistake about it, Redout is FAST.    Possibly the greatest futuristic racing game of all time, Redout is an absolutely essential purchase for anyone who’s grown up playing classics like F-Zero, Wipeout and Extreme-G. This game does so many things right on so many levels it’s astounding, from the stunning visuals & sound design to the humongous variety of incredible race tracks.

    Make no mistake about it, Redout is FAST. Certainly its most divisive element, then, is just how floaty the vehicle handling is relative to both how winding the tracks are as well as their relative visual similarity in each location. This is a blessing in disguise, however, because Redout mandates track memorization and precise driving lines in a way I’ve rarely seen in similar racers. The learning curve is steep, but taking the time to race the tracks over and over to learn their intricacies is utterly addictive.

    The track design itself is brilliant, constantly temping players with wide straightaways to boost faster and faster through before throwing them into harrowing hairpins, loops and corkscrews. Later courses completely throw reality out the window, serving up some of the wildest tracks seen this side of F-Zero GX, with massive jumps, zero-g segments and only the smallest of margins for error.

    Redout’s single player campaign was for me worth the price of admission alone- over 120 career mode events cover a wide variety of game modes like time trials, tournament races, survival events and more. It’s sure to take quite a few hours to finish off and does a great job of introducing the player to the game’s mechanics in the slower speed classes before letting them loose with the faster class 3 & 4 ships and the most difficult circuits. The DLC tracks are essential purchases as well and provide the game some of its most unique environments and stunning tracks.

    Redout’s multiplayer component currently consists of online racing and local split-screen support for up to two players. The online multiplayer works flawlessly and I’ve had a blast in online races, though it’s worth noting that during most hours of the day the online community seems quite dry (certainly not a fault of the game itself). Split screen works just as well as you’d expect as well, though the game does pare back the graphics slightly in the aim of providing better performance. The game also includes online time-trial leaderboards, which has created some fun competition amongst the game’s awesome Discord community.
    I only have two small critiques of Redout at this time- first, while the game’s AI is competitive and certainly challenging for new players learning the game, they tend to be quite easy for advanced players and could use some added difficulty. Secondly, the console versions currently have some framerate issues preventing them from reaching the target 60 fps (PC version is very well-optimized). The developers have stated they’re working on releasing some optimization fixes for those versions so hopefully this will be rectified soon.

    I honestly cannot recommend Redout enough. I’ve waited literally over a decade for a racer of this magnitude to be released and am absolutely blown away by what 34BigThings has been able to accomplish, from a small independent studio no less. Hope to see you all on the racetrack!    … Expand

    This game features a career mode, quick race, split screen, and online..
    The career mode is where you’ll be unlocking all the things for the other modes...
    you start out choosing your vehicle for your preferred playstyle...
    and there’s a robot voice that gives you a rundown on what each vehicles stats mean before you choose it as your free ride..
    You aren’t stuck with it... but you’ll have to save up money for the others...
    The career is a bunch of money saving, buying new vehicles and buying active and passive abilities for them and then upgrading those abilities... you can even take on sponsor challenges for bonus cash...
    but after you pick your new ride your off to do races and time trials…
    The game technically has 11 different modes but when it comes down to it, it’s basically just a game of racing opponents or the clock, with the occasional extremely annoying instadeath tracks…
    I had decently high expectations for this game and at first it met those expectations, the music was great, the driving felt perfect, the game was fast.. but a tiny bit slower than wipeout, so first person racing is more of a realistic option here…
    and the tracks are gorgeous…
    these are some of the best looking tracks I’ve seen in a racing game
    however after only 30 minutes of playing the game just started to feel numbing..
    Its tracks just have no life to them, they’re shiny and pretty... but they’re just there…
    there are no shortcuts for example which is something that can really help a track become memorable...
    because of a lack of tiny things like no shortcuts or branching routes every track starts to feel the same, you’re just going forward strafing and breaking so you don’t hit the walls, or pitching up to stop your ride from scratching the bottom..
    as there is a damage system here and a few game over races thrown in there making it extremely important to be cautious of walls, and especially jumps as you can fly off of a track in some modes and its instantly game over instead of respawning like a normal race…
    This dullness isn’t helped by the fact that while sure there are 35 tracks total in all of the modes,
    there are only 14 different race tracks and unlocking them all will take you very deep into this games campaign
    as tracks are basically split by racing class, with the first 8 being constantly repeated until you earn enough xp from racing the tracks in modes that feel the same to get to level level 15 and then again 22 to purchase better vehicles for the tougher challenges to unlock the final 6 race tracks
    It only takes 3 hours of playtime to get to this halfway mark…
    but the racing becomes so dull that the 3 hours feels like 6
    Online though is essentially a ghost town..
    This is a smaller publisher and a smaller releases so this is expected...
    id view it as a possibility more than a promise...
    don’t buy this game hoping for some online racing

    do I think Redout is a bad game?
    I don’t...
    It’s no wipeout, but it’s still a decently fun racing game, it just loses its charm way too fast...

    Everything runs so smooth and the controls are good and well designed, the core is simple but it's effective. As there has been some time since we had that f-zero and wipeout, redout is the perfect way to bring those feelings back and stronger than ever with astonishing graphics and cool looking circuits as well as a pretty decent OST

    No borderless window without ini editing. Fullscreen runs at 30fps and windowed mode had no resolution or window size option. Good game ruined by bad coding of options, if fixed will raise my score.

    It's simply tremendous. The perfect blend of F-Zero and Wipeout, with much more of the latter than the former, seamlessly brought into the modern era with fantastic graphics and a breathtaking feel of speed.

    Screenshots don't do it justice due to motion blurring, but actually playing it is pure, exhilarating joy. I mean, I totally suck at it, but it's one of those games you don't mind    It's simply tremendous. The perfect blend of F-Zero and Wipeout, with much more of the latter than the former, seamlessly brought into the modern era with fantastic graphics and a breathtaking feel of speed.

    Screenshots don't do it justice due to motion blurring, but actually playing it is pure, exhilarating joy. I mean, I totally suck at it, but it's one of those games you don't mind sucking at because you know it's your fault - the controls are beautifully done, and it's one of those "easy to pick up (and bounce off walls for a while) but difficult (and satisfying) to master" deals.

    Just one tiny criticism exists - the AI needs a slight overhaul. That's it. Everything else is simply flawless.

    Oh, and I'd be terrified of playing this in VR!    … Expand

    This game feels fast and fluid, but I found myself getting bored of the repetitive nature of some of the tracks and the lack of depth to the game as a whole. I could see a sequel to it being great, but I would pass on this game if you are currently looking at buying it.

    unplayable due to the fact that you can't rebind the keys. this is UNACCEPTABLE. how is it possible that a necessary feature like that isn't available, is beyond me.

    Perfect. I've been waiting for a F Zero style AG game on the PC for a while, and this scratches that itch in a superb manner. It just feels so FAST, you really get the sense that you are breaking the sound barrier with every second.

    There is a very pleasant triangular aesthetic that they went with and it was a great move, it makes the tried and true different AG locales look at once    Perfect. I've been waiting for a F Zero style AG game on the PC for a while, and this scratches that itch in a superb manner. It just feels so FAST, you really get the sense that you are breaking the sound barrier with every second.

    There is a very pleasant triangular aesthetic that they went with and it was a great move, it makes the tried and true different AG locales look at once both familiar and unique.

    I'm not usually one for power-ups in racing games, but this pulls it off by making them totally unoffensive in their capabilities and only adding nifty features like a turbo boost, health regeneration, or even just better steering.

    It feels hard to believe that this isn't a AAA game, as there is a polish and quality to it that screams "we care".    … Expand

    rubber banding A.i destroy what could have been a great game, no weapons as such just power ups but yeah that rubber banding A.I kill's it for me. as for the rest of the game it's great but without good A.i what is the point?

    The game visuals are music are both good, and the controls are solid but the game lacks several features that keep it short of greatness.

    No turbo-start "mini-game" at the start of the race like in mariokart and wipeout. Those make the beginning of a race less boring. They should be added. No real weaponry to speak of.     No real weaponry to speak of. No missiles, earthquakes, plasma cannon, rockets, etc. etc. We have the pure mode without any weapons, why not have a wild mode with wipeout-like weapons? Driving is great, driving AND fighting at the same time is even greater.

    It's a bit hard to see what kind of turn is coming up next. This one is a hard problem to solve but it's definitely a problem.

    In its current state, you can see the devs did a good job and that the game has real potential to be Wipeout's successor if it fixes the issues outlined above.    … Expand

È ben fatto e divertente, ha una modalità carriera e la possibiltà di creare lobby per gareggiare online con altri giocatori (fino a 12). La colonna sonora è fantastica, pompa al punto giusto e varia in base a cosa succede in pista; La grafica è molto azzeccata, il designRedout è un gioco di corse futuristico della italiana 34bigthings ispirato alle serie WipeOut, Rollcage e F-Zero. È ben fatto e divertente, ha una modalità carriera e la possibiltà di creare lobby per gareggiare online con altri giocatori (fino a 12). La colonna sonora è fantastica, pompa al punto giusto e varia in base a cosa succede in pista; La grafica è molto azzeccata, il design futuristico dei mezzi è molto elegante e le ambientazioni nelle mappe sono pazzesche! Dall'alta montagna al deserto, c'è persino l'Abruzzo (che amo). Il sistema dei power up aggiunge varietà al gameplay, anche se non ci sono le bombe e i missili di Rollcage. Le mappe sono varie sia nella tipologia di gara (eliminazione, torneo, gara a tempo...) sia nella struttura con giri della morte, salti, tempeste di sabbia, corse sottomarine... perciò munitevi di gamepad (la tastiera è supportata ma il controllo sul mezzo ne soffre parecchio) e preparatevi a correre a velocità assurde!
    Supporta il VR e presto uscirà anche per PS4, lo consiglio a tutti, specialmente agli appassionati del genere.    … Expand

    Amazing game, I keep coming back for more. I've put about 6 hours into it and am just now getting past the first class of ships. Plenty of variety in the types of races (much more than I was expecting) that require different strategies. There is a learning curve to this game, but once you quickly get past it you're greatly rewarded. 10/10, would recommend to any racing game fans!

Very deceived of the money and the time spent on such a thing. Devs will probably talk about "apprenticeship".    You make 2 minutes : the others do 1:50, you finish 6th.

    Where did this game come from? I am shocked. In a positive way. The handling of the game (easy to get in to but hard to really master), the tracks and visuals, the gameplay and sense of speed are all outstanding. I cant ask for more. The game also seems very optimized (cpu and gpu).
    Can absolutely recommend this game.

    Best futuristic racer in a long time. The sense of speed is exhilarating, and taking the perfect line on a turn is something you have to earn, which makes getting there feel all the better. Only thing it's missing is split-screen, but as of today the devs said they'd be patching it in at a later point. As a PC user this is one of the best racing games on the platform, and the bestBest futuristic racer in a long time.     Solid game. Runs great on my GTX960, consistent framerate. Visuals are superb. Just need to fix the AI and some other ship upgrade issues and we are in business.

    C'est d'une fluidité extrême grâce au gameplay d'une part, qui offre un excellent compromis entre Fzero et Wipeout, mais aussi à cause des tracés, facteur essentiel dans le plaisir de piloter un engin aussi rapide.

    Les circuits sont assez large et bien foutus pour laisser le joueur se griser par la vitesse et les courbes qui s'enchaînent, entrecoupé de vrille, de tourbillon, de tremplin, de looping ..... c'est véritablement un plaisir énorme de se sentir porter par cette sensation de vitesse qui pour ma part est plus jouissive que dans Wipeout et donc Fzero.

    Au niveau de sa vitesse d'ailleurs, le jeu se trouve entre ces deux, plus rapide qu'un Wipeout et moins rapide qu'un Fzero, mais niveau sensation il est unique en son genre et c'est bien là son plus gros point fort.

    Le mode carrière se déroule de la même façon dans ce genre de jeu, on participe à des course en classe 1, sur plusieurs mode de jeu, course, time attack, survie, avec quelques variante pour corser le tout, un mode time attack avec des dégats multiplié par deux ou trois, donc il faut être super adroit, un mode course sans aucun droit au propulseur etc .... on enchaine les courses, on gagne des médailles et petit à petit, on ouvre les tableaux suivant, puis les classes et enfin les accès à l'upgrade de propulseur ou d'achat de nouvelles compétences ( bouclier plus costaud, propulseur qui draine l'énergie des concurrent etc ... )

    Pendant les courses, nous avons une barre d'énergie pour nous signaler les dégats de notre vaisseau, s'il n'y en a plus, bah c'est l'explosion et une barre d'énergie pour le super propulseur, selon les vaisseaux, elle est plus ou moins longue à recharger, donc il y a un aspect de gestion de notre boost tout au long des courses et savoir à quel moment il est utile de s'en servir, c'est très efficace en sortie de virage quand on perd de la vitesse.

    Il y a des flèches sur la piste qui permettent aussi de prendre énormément de vitesse, couplé au boost, ça peut aller très très vite ....

    Alors le bémol pour moi reste l'IA, très bizarre en effet, elle se comporte de façon ultra agressive en class 1, quasi imbattable (je l'ai battu à chaque fois par un coup de chance sans avoir fait mon meilleur temps :( ) puis plus on avance, plus l'IA devient .... bah il faut le dire, elle devient mauvaise et on peut la battre avec une main dans le dos et ça, c'est assez problématique pour ce qui fait d'un jeu vidéo, un bon jeu vidéo "la marge de progression " elle est inversé ici :noel:
    Alors après ce qui est quand même coton, c'est les circuits sur la fin qui sont chaotique ( mais dans le bon sens ) et là il faut quand même les apprendre par coeur pour les dompter, sauf que certains se boucle en + ou - 4 minutes, imaginez à la vitesse du jeu le nombre de virage qu'il faut passer et apprendre :noel:

    De ce que j'ai vu c'est découpé en 4 monde qui génère plusieurs sous stage avec des tracés très différent, il y a donc 20 circuits en tout, pour le moment.
    6 équipes avec 4 classes de vaisseaux, chaque vaisseau de classe en classe est différent, plus on avance en classe, plus ça va vite
    On peut upgrade ses propulseur moyennant l'achat de spec avec des dollars gagné dans le jeu.
    Des dédis viennent se greffer de temps à autre, sous forme de contrat, que vous devez accepter pour gagner plus de tune, ex: faire une course avec tel vaisseau et gagner l'or ...
    Il y a le support VR, les parties en ligne se font à 12 ou moins ( j'ai pas trouvé grand monde )

    Les musique par contre, c'est un mélange de Techno et de style dance, même une qui m'a fait penser à celle de Fzero dans mute City, on aime ou on aime pas, ça va du mauvais à l'excellent, dont deux qui me dresse les poils dans les parties :hap:

    Il n'y a pas d'armes, mais des propulseur Passif ou actif qui peuvent géner les autres concurrent, comme un EMP ou un draineur d'énergie.

    Niveau technique, c'est assez tape à l'oeil, le jeu est magnifique quand on joue, mais dés que l'on s'arrête, on voit que la DA vient sauver le jeu de la faillite totale, c'est du polygonal ultra grossier, seul les effets viennent masquer la pauvreté de la 3d et franchement, ça marche :oui: le desigfn des vaisseaux, des pistes, tout est beau et pourtant grossier, comme quoi ....

    Perso je joue sans Post Process et avec un AA middle car ça rend dégueulasse et flou, le reste en epic, ce n'est pas pour des raisons technique, mais pour des raisons visuelle.
    Par contre impossible de régler la Résolution, ça c'est carton rouge pour les devs, il faut aller dans les fichiers Ini pour régler le problème.    … Expand

    Redout is one of the most delightfully high-octane, edge-of-my-seat racing games in recent memory. It’s a thrilling adrenaline rush of an experience. It’s a finely-tuned joyride that’s been polished and balanced until it shines in a cornucopia of flashy colours.

    In the end, Redout is a very good racing game. It may not introduce anything completely new or revolutionize the genre, but it nails the fundamentals so well that fans will be glad that it exists. It has a great presentation and a decent track selection, while the amount of modes almost makes up for the lack of online community. If Redout represents the start of a comeback for futuristic racing, it is a good one, and genre fans will do well to pick it up.
