A challenging battle game that has you fighting head-to-head against aliens in a reality TV show to gain your freedom. It takes a while to get used to how the controls work and feel, but once you do this is a very addictive game.

Redneck Ed: Astro Monsters Show shows some really stylish visual and great characters designs, but sadly the game is far from polished state, which is disappointing, given that it's not an early access release.

Redneck Ed can be fun at times but the poor gameplay balance, underwhelming controls, and crude visuals make it a hard game to recommend.

The concept behind Redneck Ed: Astro Monsters Show is fine. Going through battle after battle in a galactic game show is a workable premise, and it's only been done a few times before. However, from the dated references and the half-baked presentation to the cheap deaths and lackluster combat, it is difficult to stick with the game after a few levels, since it game does its best to drain any semblance of fun from the experience. Unless you have the patience and willingness to deal with the lack of polish, pass on this one.
