    The game is not playable if you do not have a super powerfull intel CPU or an AMD one (powerful or not).

    With Intel Core I5 quad cores (even last gen), the game freezes every 20 seconds, during at least 3 seconds. It is not a material problem, thousands and thousands of people with a lot of differents GPU got the same problem.     For the graphics the game is waaaay under preforming. Its extremely un-optimized and is very buggy. I have found that the pause menu glitches to much even for me to change my graphics settings without using GeForce instead. i also have found that the audio is very buggy and it clips and crackles all the time even when the game is not under load

    The worst start you can think of. 3 different errors do not even let the game run. The ECU launcher is similarly broken. Worst developers!

    the game closes itself several times, it stops working, it often can't launch the launcher, always crashes and asks for safe mode, just like GTA V did, it's poorly optimized, extremely heavy, and doesn't recognize all GPU memory even with new drivers, extremely bugged on PC version

    TERRIBLE launch! don't buy until they fix ALL the issues! spent almost 5 hours troubleshooting and i still cant launch the game. worst launch i have ever experienced! and the support is beyond terrible! "please submit a ticket we would like to look into this" is ALL that you will get. DO NOT BUY.

    For a company that is making billions it is strange they would rush this product into release without it being FAR from readyfor release. I wont repeat all that has been said before me, just signing under everything that has been said.

    I have registered on metacritci spicifcally to let the people know, i am outraged with Rockstar and Epic Game Store for this raw release.

    Nunca en toda mi vida me podía imaginar que una empresa como rockstar pudiese hacer algo así. O sea que la optimización para ps4 y xb1 es espectacular y sin embargo un pc de mil euros es casi incapaz de mantener los 60fps estables con todo en bajo. Nos tratan como jugadores de segunda sacando el juego un año más tarde y aun por encima tenemos que aguantar que a mucha gente ni le abra elNunca en toda mi vida me podía imaginar que una empresa como rockstar pudiese hacer algo así.     Огромный кусок логающего и вылетающего г....., что касается самой игры вроде норм, но ощутить это не представляется возможным из-за постоянных вылетов и фризов.

    Flat out the crappiest and bug infested game that i ever played. Constant crashes and i also have the cursor showing at all time bug. I don't even think Rockstar acknowledge this bug so no patch in sight. Stay away from this game that's all im saying

    Game doesn't work at all: when you try to do minor changes to the graphic settings like the resolution or screen size, the pc just slows down almost to a complete freeze. Therefore it is impossible to play this game in anything else other than the very low potato settings.     Absolutely horrible! Bought it for 80 dollars... I own a computer which fulfils the requirements without any issues, but still... the game keeps on crashing. Even after downloading up to 10 GBs of additional official updates... Reinstalling the computer, updating all the drivers etc. I found a solution: I used a tool called Process Lasso to stop the game from being stuck at 100% CPUAbsolutely horrible! Bought it for 80 dollars... I own a computer which fulfils the requirements without any issues, but still... the game keeps on crashing.     I was super excited for this game, i played a fair bit of it on the PS4 but stopped because I didn't want to ruin the experience for me with the consoles horrible graphics and having to use a controller. Honestly the 2nd time through i couldn't get through the tutorial mission. It was completely unplayable for nearly 2 weeks after release and now, months later and 44% through the single player campaign, it is again completely unplayable.

    I was enjoying the game normally on a Tuesday night, but I took a break to hit the gym and go to work the next morning anticipating another night of play on Wednesday. Wednesday night came and I found that my autosave crashed to desktop.

    There is no way to access your manual saves from the start menu. Seriously, that isn't hyperbole, you literally can't load a game from the menu. To load a manual save you must load into an autosave OR into multiplayer. Great.

    So I started multiplayer and, as soon as it loaded in, I attempted to load ALL of my saves one at a time. The autosave continues to crash the game to desktop and ALL other saves load indefinitely, never starting the game.

    I followed all of Rockstar's canned "fixes" and none of them have done a thing to resolve this issue. I submitted a ticket, set to be responded to in 24 hours, and received zero response.

    Finally, as I have invested time and money into the game, I attempted to start a new game from the beginning. This is also NOT possible from the menu. You must load into an autosave or online server to access the story menu. Except I still cannot start a new game, even after loading into online mode. The menu says "New Game is unavailable at this time" or something along those lines.

    I assume that if I sat through the opening tutorial of online play that I would be able to finally get back to the game I want to play, but I am fed up.

    Do not buy this game.    … Expand

The game has innumerable glitches and the main campaign is ruined with worthless filler.     I make these remarks as a veteran of numerous RPGs over the past two decades. I've never minded that there is a path of evil intent in such games; most give me good options as well as bad ones. RDR2 is not an RPG, it's a walk down the mean streets of human nature. There's no escape, no way to accomplish objectives without gunning down innocent bystanders, no way to triumph over temptation and choose the high road.

    America doesn't need "art" like this. I hope the developers will use their wealth for better purposes in future.    … Expand

    The single player story is good but online is total garbage. Just like GTA V Online, try to do anything without getting greifed by another player with an aim bot or mod is not possible. Apparently the parley system is easily bypassed.

    Skip the irritation of multiplayer grief by PK for no reason other than to run you off the server.

I tried every suggestion Rockstar support gave us and nothing works, I also tried many other troubleshooting attempts on my own to no avail. I tried turning off antivirus, updating windows, updating my drivers, uninstalling andGame worked for exactly 4 hours on the first day, then Rockstar out out patches to the game itself and the launcher and I havent been able to launch the game since. I tried every suggestion Rockstar support gave us and nothing works, I also tried many other troubleshooting attempts on my own to no avail. I tried turning off antivirus, updating windows, updating my drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling both the game and launcher multiple times, I tried flashing my BIOS and a bunch of other things. The really horrible part about this is that I dont really care at this point if Rockstar even fixes it eventually because I dont want the game any longer, they have lost my business going forward at this point, unfortunately Epic Games has denied my refund request because they say I played over 2 hours that first 1/2 day that it actually worked. So I am out 80 bucks and have a completely broken unplayable game! This is by far the worst game launch Ive seen in my 20+ years of PC gaming. I have reported Rockstar and Epic games to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and I highly suggest you all do the same if you're game is broken and you are also unable to get your money back. Rockstar should be absolutely embarrassed and ashamed of themselves.....even though they aren't. The fact that they have been almost radio silent and are only posting impersonal BS tweets from Rockstar Support that say "they are working on it" tells me that they knew the game wasn't going to work on many PC's and just planned on releasing it anyway and riding out the storm in silence. I'm not going to be Rockstars trained little **** performing tricks until they feel like I can play the game I already paid for, so I took the Steam Refund and bought myself RE2 and The Master Chief Collection instead.     Summary: Great game, need a lot of optimizations.

    P.S.:
    1) Have completed this gem on PS4
    2) Have been playing other AAA games at 1080P Ultra with 60-65 FPS (at least, including Control with RTX all enabled with ultra)

Verified the games integrity 3 times under different conditions Allowed ports to be open in my firewakk Created numerous firewall exceptions Deleted my account from the launcher and logged back in as reccomended Restarted my PC Restarted my modem Went into    To make this game work I:

    Disabled my antivirus

    Went into the properties of RDR2.exe and modified launch arguments
    Did the same with the launcher
    Changed the name of the executable to GTA5.exe and used a GTA 5 mod to run the game
    Game crashed.
    Updated my windows
    Followed a ridiculous sequence of events to trick the launcher into working.

    And I finally got in. I played for a few minutes and paused the game. The game crashed and I cant get back in.

    This is the standard Rockstar presents after a year of development time and what, 36 billion dollars of revenue from gta 5. Pathetic.

    Game doesnt work. I have a fairly high end PC. I am not getting the errors others are getting. I have the up to date drivers. followed every troubleshooting step known to man. And yet, due to their pathetic game launcher, I cannot adjust the game resolution, which is set to the correct one as far as I can tell from what my geforce app says.     Had to update to the latest Windows and Nvidia just to get it to run. When it runs I can only play it in windowed mode. It is terrible unoptimized, crashes frequently, and kicks me from online frequently as well, making me lose progress, I did not receive any of my ultimate edition bonuses as well. They need a day one patch asap!

    This port is so broken I can't recommend buying it. I can barely get 60 fps on medium with a GTX 1080ti and 8700k @ 4.9 GHz. Some people can't even get passed the launcher. It's broken for some and possibly poorly optimized. Time will tell.

    Alright, 2070 super, 16 gb ram and i5 8600k got me 45 fps at 1440p and medium graphics preset (recommended by nvidia actually). And after every patch it seems to be even lower and lower. The game itself is a masterpiece, however, optimization and bugs turned it to a pile of crap. Make rdr2 great again rockstar.

    Tried every "fix" that has been released and the game keeps crashing. Tried to get a refund and have been told by Epic because I have more than 2 hours I don't qualify. Rockstar and Epic have done a pre-holidy money grab. Wait until it comes out on Steam because at least then you'll know it's working and if not have a decent chance to get your money back.

Далее нвидия выпустили свежий драйвер, который, добавил порядка 5-7 фпс. И Тут-же рокстар анонсировали патч. Обрадовавшись этой новости, оставил игру до следующего дня, в надежде на добавку еще пары фпс. Как оказалось позже, надеялся я зря, данный патч отнял порядка 10 фпс, т. е. игра стала работать хуже, чем на релизе. К счастью с фризами и вылетами особых проблем не испытывал, поэтому порывшись в настройках графики, и снизив еще некоторые пункты, получил терпимый фпс, и продолжил проходить дальше. Далее выходит еще один патч, думаю, ну теперь может добавят чуть-чуть производительности, либо вернут те фпс, что, отняли с прошлым патчем. Не тут то было, вместо оптимизации, порезали дальность прорисовки следов на грязи, и появления таких объектов, как, дилижансы, и тени от них, при этом снова сбросив все настройки по дефолту, и самое интересное, что на фпс это никак не отразилось, зато появились какие-то мерцания текстур. Поэкспериментировав вновь с настройками, игра и вовсе перестала работать, после загрузки просто черный экран, хотя звуки и управление работает. Сразу напрашивается вопрос, за что, я вам отдал 2500р., за бета тест? Каждый ваш патч, делает и без того плохо оптимизированную игру, вовсе неиграбельной. В будущем ваш продукт по предзаказу брать точно не стану, пока не буду уверен, что, продукт оптимизирован как следует… Expand

The game is plagued by constant bugs and glitches that take the experience to a 10/10 to an 8/10 at best and I'm not sure if those are exclusive to the PC version or not, but what I can tell that is exclusive to this version of the game, is the fact that it's a God awful portGreat game, but unfortunately I will still be recommending against it due to Rockstar's greed and incompetence. The law enforcement system has the law show up so quickly you are penalized for playing an outlaw. You can't really rob anyone unless it's a gang mission, your gang missions send your bounty through the roof...oh yeah, and you can't actually win a gunfight with bounty hunters or lawmen until you are at least 20 hours into the game. You're also supposedly part of a gang, but you can't take anyone with you unless it's a special mission, so with the law system so ridiculously johnny-on-the-spot you can count on dying against impossible odds over and over again until you can, 20+ hours into the game, hold your own.

    Now let's talk about game play, which is also a total f**cking disaster. The cover system is horrible, the supposedly improved dead eye system is even worse than the cover system, and your enemies take between 2 and 10 shots each to die. Literally, the game will show people getting shot, dropping, and then getting back up like they're some kind of zombie. Meanwhile if you show much as pick up a splinter you're a goner. Add to this a ridiculous health tonic system that transforms you from being the wimpiest gunfighter in the West into the Terminator (able to shrug off dozens of rounds of gun fire), and you have to wonder what Rockstar was smoking when they put this together.

    The truly crowning achievement is that they manage to do all of this while delivering a graphically gorgeous game with a compelling story. Although, even the story needs work as it becomes abundantly obvious early in to the game that you either need to leave the gang and take as many people with you as you can (which you can't do) or murder Dutch (which you also can't do).

    And finally, the other problems. First of all that you can't quick save. That's right, once a mission starts you're screwed if it breaks. And they break all of the god damn time. There are also several graphics glitches, although these at least are minor and don't break the game. All-in-all, it seems to me that Rockstar had a great idea but a poor plan, which lead to the inevitable piss-poor execution. If you haven't been suckered into buying this game due to all of the good reviews and hype, do yourself and favor and save your money.    … Expand

    A very weak network component, normal only for a single campaign. There are a lot of texture issues in single player and online campaigns where you can easily get stuck.

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
