Computer Gaming WorldOne of the best-designed games to come along in years. [Jan 2002, p.115]
-
One of the most compulsively playable strategy games of the year, both online and off...Simplicity is the main ingredient that makes RAA so enjoyable.
-
A wonderful thinking game.
-
Rails Across America's many weaknesses certainly don't totally dampen the fun of racing to see who can outbuild the competition.
-
The game seems to be addictive and at least passably fun while in the middle of it, but I can't really say that I ever got excited playing it, or ever really looked forward to playing it when I was off doing other things.
-
It definitely has a strong boardgame feel, although it's not as hands-on as the popular "crayola rail" games, nor as addictive as the recently released "Monopoly Tycoon."
