    GAME OF THE YEAR RIGHT HERE! This is the perfect mafia style party game to play with friends online. The premise of the game is to do tasksGAME OF THE YEAR RIGHT HERE! This is the perfect mafia style party game to play with friends online. The premise of the game is to do tasks around the office while trying to find out who the pretender is. The pretender on the other hand is an evil player who'll try to kill everyone and destroy the company. This game induces proximity voice chat support which makes chases and detective work more suspenseful. A quick warning though there's a sneaky developer group named Innersloth who just made a game called Among Us which is blatantly ripping off this masterpiece of a game, I've played it and found that there's are some assets ripped straight from Pretend. My friends and I found a couple of bugs so I can't give it a perfect score but with some quick bug-fixes and if popular influencers pick it up I think it could be the next big thing. 9/10… Expand

    I made a Metacritic account due to looking at the reviews of this game after playing the game, it is incredibly clear that the positiveI made a Metacritic account due to looking at the reviews of this game after playing the game, it is incredibly clear that the positive reviews of this game here are from the devs themselves, so I am writing this to balance out the score.

    Pretend is a very clear rip-off of Among Us (and not a very good one), even on high-end machines the game runs poorly which is inexcusable for a game like this seeing as I can probably run Among Us on my old piece of **** laptop from 2012 and still get a decent frame rate.

    It's also worth noting that there's definitely something fishy going on with this game as when I run it causes my RAM and GPU usage much higher than a game like this should, this is to a point where it's so high that it can't just be from bad optimisation.

    If you're still considering buying this game, either for a meme or as a cheap alternative to Among Us, don't, even as a game it's buggy, has multiple sound issues and lags like a mother ****
