Postal 4: No Regerts is a return to form to the cult classic Postal 2. Unfortunately, while it does stay true to what made it successful among its fanbase, it doesn’t raise the bar in any area where it could be considered a great game. For a series known for pushing the envelope, Postal 4 feels like it plays things too safe. The gameplay mechanics are rough around the edges, while the attempts at edgy humor fall short. The potential is there, but regerttably the writers never push it to a level where it would be memorable. What we end up with is a game that is enjoyable but ultimately unremarkable.

Postal 4 is like the logo of Running with Scissors: a dirty kid running with scissors who takes the risk of hurting himself with them. And the game actually crashes, due to its dubious humor and a rather deplorable technical record.

Embarrassing is a word that doesn't really give the exact idea of how i feel about Postal 4. The crude style of the game suggests a ton of easy jokes, but in this case I feel the best thing is simply to flush the toilet.

The first installment, despite its unremarkable gameplay, at least tried. It brought the story of a man who just wants to exist, but the whole world is against him. Here, from the start, you're a nutcase in a bathrobe who shoots prisoners and cleans sewers. And sometimes he hallucinates. If there's satire, it's on the level of cops eating donuts. [Issue#319]

Multiple updates since leaving Early Access have still resulted in a game that barely squeezes past “mediocre” in the fun department, and should have probably not left it.

If Postal 4: No Regerts was released 15 years ago it would just be buggy, ugly and dumb. Since it’s released today, it’s also very dated in its lame scatological humor. With an endless focus on making you do tedious errands, it can take a while before you get to the actual homicidal mania, and when you do, it’s a janky, repetitive letdown. Unless you’re the world’s biggest fan of poop and penis jokes, Postal 4: No Regerts is as much fun as watching someone laugh at their own farts.

Postal that we don't want to remember. Definitely an unfinished piece of software that will let even the most ardent fans know that for some games it is better to stay in the past forever.

When it comes to humor, satire and pretend violence, I have endlessly high tolerance. Art and entertainment should be free to push buttons and push the limits of what’s acceptable. I have far less patience for lazy, sloppy and tired humor that masquerades as edgy, and no patience at all for developers that waste my time with games that barely run. With Postal 3, Running With Scissors blamed it on the Russians. With Postal 4, they have no one to blame but themselves.

Postal 4 doesn't disappoint expectations: those looking for gratuitous violence, vulgarity and bad taste satire will find bread for their teeth. Results that are obtained using the winning basis of the second episode, structured in five levels for as many days of the week: a little more originality would not have hurt. Unfortunately, the technical problems are too obvious to overshadow: poor optimization, graphics bordering on indecent and numerous bugs still make it look like an embryonic title, despite three years of development. Or maybe this was precisely the intention of the developers?

A game with a dedicated ‘pull your dick out’ keybinding in 2022 should be way more clever than this. No amount of John St. John voice-over work or copyright-dodging music jingles can cover up the odor emanating from this pile. 4/10 BBQ’d dead dogs.

Aside from politically correctness evaluations, the game offers crazy things to do do, but due to game breaking bugs, uninteresting missions, very poor performances, huge loading times and bad optimization, the gaming experience is very disappointing and frustrating.

The missions can be tedious, the world is uninspired, exploration is painful, and the jokes barely ever land.

Sadly, it’s not the “so bad it’s actually fun” case. Postal 4: No Regerts is a monstrosity sloppily stitched together from terrible jokes and numerous bugs. The game was testing my patience every step of the way and I could almost hear it scream in my face: “The past is now, old man! Thanks for your money, loser!”.

Busted in more ways than anything I’ve played in a while, it’s very disappointing as an evolution to the series. Maybe we’ll get the No Man’s Sky of Postal games and in 5 years, this review will look stupid, but where I’m sitting now, at the 1.0 release, I’m not hopeful. At least I liked No Man’s Sky on launch.

This is a catastrophe, a boring, ugly, broken game based on a questionable cult hit from two decades ago. The new instalment is honestly such a mess that it would probably fail even back then.

Postal 4 doesn’t do anything better than its counterparts. The gameplay is a mix of bad and mediocre and almost all the attempts at humour fell flat. Perhaps there's some guilty pleasure to be had if you're a die-hard Postal fan, however you're better off going back to Postal 2 or Postal Redux as you will likely find this too tame. When the game has been optimized and fixed it may have some entertainment, but for now this is a hard miss.

Just like the typo in its title, Postal 4 was either a mistake or a poor attempt at being deliberately bad. There is nothing redeemable about this game except maybe the colorful static cutscenes you see that pop up at the start and end of your day. Save yourself the pain and avoid this at all costs.

Postal 4: No Regerts is cringingly juvenile and painful to play in between all the times it’s hard crashing.

I had so many regrets after playing through Postal 4. This is really one of the worst games since Postal 3, and even an army of coders can't fix its many bugs, glitches, crashes and other problems. It was so painful to play the game that it could be recognized as a mean of torture.

Postal 4: No Regerts is devoid of humor and anything close to approaching fun or engaging mechanics. The only things it has in spades are constant technical issues that only compound the game's lengthy checklist of egregious shortcomings. Running With Scissors might consider this review a badge of honor, considering that the game being bad is seemingly part of the gag, but don't for a second think that Postal 4 even touches the realm of "So bad, it's good." There's nothing redeemable about this game. It's a genuinely awful experience that should be avoided at all costs.

This just isn't a good or fun game. I rate it a 4 because I think the art and sound team did a good job.
Gameplay, level design, story, writing on the other hand isn't done well, it's boring, uncreative and cheap.

This game is like a high-school group project to make a powerpoint where the smart artsy kids got put with the annoying kids that quote 2012 memes and reddit jokes. Something that is presented well but flops on content.

A modern rendition of what the original postal was about, a game crude and offensive with the tools to make some wacky scenarios could have real potential in 2022, but every punch, every beat just feels annoying and unfunny. The levels feel like job simulators with the boring 'screw in lightbulb ,carry box, report scrap' objectives and every time someone speaks I roll my eyes waiting for them to shut up.

Modern hardware, systems and culture could've gave the grounds for something really out there, something really creatively crude. But no, it's just early 90s level design with 2016's 30-something year old Facebook humour sprinkled in.

A waste and a shame. They took the easy route on gameplay and humour and it shows, there is nothing original about this, the original postal games had the humour and delivery of a good south park episode, this on the other hand goes for the low-hanging fruit. We're making fun of SJW culture when before we were pissing on Gary Coleman. It's just creatively bankrupt.

I wish I could say the game tried hard, but it really didn't, had the devs not made postal two, this would not have any reviews and would go completely unheard of, and I'd be an afternoon of free time better for it.
