    Ugly and with abysmal performance.
    Same annoying loading screens out of nowhere as 2, this was the one thing i thought this game would easily do better, with you know, a sandbox map with no loadings like every other open world game nowadays.
    Downgraded gore. The police AI is Cyberpunk bad.

    Seems like a downgrade from postal 2, it's not terrible but it's just not great. I had fun playing it and if you're a fan of the series I would still play it, but I can't see myself ever coming back to this. This game took all the good things about postal 2 and made them worse, this is just mediocre and I'm probably gonna stick with P2.

    Crashing and performance issues aside the game still sucks monkey balls. Feels like they were in a hurry to push it out and as a result it runs like ass.

    The devs like to pretend that they learned their lesson from the mess that was Postal 3, but this game is somehow even worse.

    Postal 3 is at least funny. This game doesn't contain any actual jokes.

    Gameplay, level design, story, writing on the other hand isn't done well, it's boring, uncreative and cheap.

    A modern rendition of what the original postal was about, a game crude and offensive with the tools to make some wacky scenarios could have real potential in 2022, but every punch, every beat just feels annoying and unfunny. The levels feel like job simulators with the boring 'screw in lightbulb ,carry box, report scrap' objectives and every time someone speaks I roll my eyes waiting for them to shut up.

    Modern hardware, systems and culture could've gave the grounds for something really out there, something really creatively crude. But no, it's just early 90s level design with 2016's 30-something year old Facebook humour sprinkled in.

    A waste and a shame. They took the easy route on gameplay and humour and it shows, there is nothing original about this, the original postal games had the humour and delivery of a good south park episode, this on the other hand goes for the low-hanging fruit. We're making fun of SJW culture when before we were pissing on Gary Coleman. It's just creatively bankrupt.

    I wish I could say the game tried hard, but it really didn't, had the devs not made postal two, this would not have any reviews and would go completely unheard of, and I'd be an afternoon of free time better for it.    … Expand

Humour in this half-product is from the lowest levels, it's embarassing. Various bugs also plague this game. Yes, there's choice for Dude's voice, but it would be good for co-op and not singleplayer campaign (I won't deny their performance, because it's good). There are sounds, they didn't forget about them. Also there's other problem with fanbase, or rather RWS' fanboys that will defend this "game" no matter what.     Even Postal 3 is better. Because at least that game doesn't commit the sin of being BORING.

    I don't think it's awful, it just feels like a downgraded version of Postal 2. The level design is worse, the city isn't as fun, the gore is milder, and the humor doesn't resonate with me as well. The game also currently has some pretty bad performance issues. If you're really craving something new in the Postal series you'll probably still enjoy it; otherwise you should just stick with Postal 2.

    This game is a complete scam. Dozen upon dozens of stolen unreal store assets, most missions are either boring as heck or are stolen from postal 2, and the game crashes at EVERY. SINGLE. LOADING SCREEN.

    Avoid at all costs. The only positive reviews are from ACTUAL Running With Scissors employees

    Postal 4 is based. This game is great, played it from start to end and enjoyed it. Yeah it's definitely not finished still but I had a great time with it. Will be waiting for the next updates.

    So we finally got there and it's great. The game works fine for me, I don't know crap like technical problems. Postal 4 plays on a note of nostalgia and that's great. It is fresh, graphically pretty and does not spare violence. Thank you that there are still developers who do not climb into the ***** and do not stick to the commercial sphere. I have no regrets. If you ever want to know how to not make a game, take all your tips from this one and you will be set. There is so many things they could do to fix it, but they choose to instead attempt to deflect any and all criticism at RWS. It was in a pre-released state for nearly 3 years with little to no improvement where it needed it. So much of the game is broken and buggy. Yes postal 3 was better, the devs constantly trash postal 3, but it is far better than this hot mess. They attempted to give a critic of the series a role in the game, he manages his own store... which stores in this game do not work. They apparently have a bunch of side missions... most do not work. I remember clearing a minor mission and it said I still had to do it after completing it. Multiple times. So many bugs, so many crashes. I at one point ate food while on fire and the game crashed almost every time I did this. I noticed several bugs reported some. Not a single reply from RWS. There is too many bugs to report at this point. The only point that doesn't feel like its in a constant state of cheat death debug mode where instead of loading the last save it just teleports you to the checkpoint. This checkpoint warping is a big issue on later stages of the game, especially the final boss fight warping you back to another map entirely, I had it glitch out so many times and crash because of this. The game unloads and reloads assets quickly but yet the loading screens take forever like every last one of them is loading every last resource in the game and precaching them all no matter the level. Like it is loading every texture too. This is bad, it makes the game easier, keep in mind just playing the game is difficult on even high end hardware. This game runs poorly no matter what, all of the difficulty of this game comes from how badly it performs. No matter what they add to the game at this point the level design will kill it, if not the level design the performance of the game. It is in desperate need to lower loading times and increase frame rates. So much is being done wrong here I don't see any possible way the devs can save the game underneath all these problems in performance, even if so difficulty at this point will put the game at such a easy difficulty that it will need heavy balance changes. Many of the weapons are underwhelming. Certain weapons should share ammo like the 2 shotguns in the game. Swimming is completely broken where you when you surface to the top of the water the water collision no longer works and you are no longer swimming till you hit the bottom. Sometimes glitching through objects and getting stuck.I did notice a few people were missing in the credits as well; I heard from many that they used store bought assets. I can honestly belief this as there is a vast difference in model types, art styles, and many assets that don't match the rest of the game.

    Now for the good, yes if everything was fixed it might be better. If all the glitches and bugs and the devs added a feature of auto detect stuck players like postal 2 did than maybe it might be a ok game with terrible world design. This would require way way more than what they are currently putting into the game and require a major massive overhaul. Every part of this game is under developed, nothing is done, so much is unfinished. Oh thats right I am trying to talk about the good here.... Monday: Missions are more complete here than every other day, its a ok opening jokes at the start need to be heavily reworked within the opening, most of them are terribly done and phoned in, most of the humor here is shock humor that is worse than postal 3 bad. Tuesday: You turn into a cat, also one of the most glitchest missions in the game how ever. Weds: You go to a theme park with working rides. Thursday: Level design here is ok has creapypasta vibes. Friday: making it through this day is a challenge in itself, its the glitchiest day filled with the most bugs and needs to be entirely reworked, the ending of the game is awful and makes the game feel pointless.
    Loading screens want to compete with sonic 06 and duke nukem forever. This game is barely a game. Damn I did it again one more time the good: Weapon mechanics they have weapons, all the melees pretty much do the same thing, all the weapons have multiple skins which is a good thing, pretty much the ak and the m16 perform identically. The only weapons you will get ammo for is the pistol and shotgun early on and then only the m16 and ak. They have more weapons but not enough ammo.Damnit I give up. Here is the review.    … Expand

    One of the best games of 2022 so far in my opinion I don’t care about the ign and gamespot reviews for this game it all about the fan reviews and fans love it a lot and I love postal 4 a lot so far and I am excited for it future updates

    If you like Postal 2 (like I did), you will probably also like Postal 4. Sure, it can use a few more days in the oven, but It's like a breath of fresh air that reminds you of the good old days. This decade was in despaired need of a relieving experience like Postal 4.

There's no denying that there's issues that need ironing out though,, and it's good to hear that the developers are actively working on fixing these issues to improve the overall experience. The game has enough bells and whistles to make it a worthy entry in the series,Postal 4, as it stands right now, isn't an awful game. Far from it, even. I'd call it a worthy successor to Postal 2. There's no denying that there's issues that need ironing out though,, and it's good to hear that the developers are actively working on fixing these issues to improve the overall experience. The game has enough bells and whistles to make it a worthy entry in the series, bringing in the familiarity of Postal 2 and building on top of it with new mechanics and features to inject a little bit of new into the old. They are CONTINUOUSLY designing and planning to improve the game even further. A lot of updates are in the works, and I believe co-op was confirmed on a stream.     Normally it's not a 10 out of 10 game, but I want to increase the score a bit. In fact, I defend this, whoever gives points should give it, neither more nor less. The game isn't very good, but it's not bad enough to score 30 points. 60 is ideal for this good. I can safely say that stray is much more boring than this game.

    I've never played something so broken. Even though this game came out one or two years ago, it's still full of major bugs, weird design choices and many more problems. I love Postal 2 but this one was a misstep. Maybe they'll fix/finish it some day, untill then I refuse to continue playing.

    The game is a big mess, even after a year since launch, the game is pretty much incomplete, there are a lot of glitches that ruin the expirience and most of the missions are boring. It's sad that Postal 4 managed to be worse than Postal 2 (even 3 if you ask me), a game from 20 years ago.

    The first installment, despite its unremarkable gameplay, at least tried. It brought the story of a man who just wants to exist, but the whole world is against him. Here, from the start, you're a nutcase in a bathrobe who shoots prisoners and cleans sewers. And sometimes he hallucinates. If there's satire, it's on the level of cops eating donuts. [Issue#319]

    Multiple updates since leaving Early Access have still resulted in a game that barely squeezes past “mediocre” in the fun department, and should have probably not left it.

    Busted in more ways than anything I’ve played in a while, it’s very disappointing as an evolution to the series. Maybe we’ll get the No Man’s Sky of Postal games and in 5 years, this review will look stupid, but where I’m sitting now, at the 1.0 release, I’m not hopeful. At least I liked No Man’s Sky on launch.
